I worked with Justin Winthrow, who is an attorney at the law firm of Michael C. Hennenberg. I had a few minor misdemeanors (4) and one misdemeanor 4th degree unlawful use of property. Most were open containers and disorderly conducts the m-4 was related to unlawful use of property again related to collage hooliganism. I wanted to let everyone know that although the matters were basically minor they were complicated due to the fact there were multiple offenses which undoubtedly complicates things.
The process was very clear and Justin gave me very clear instructions of what I had to do to prove i was rehabilitated, and of a higher moral character now then before. I included a personal narrative, pictures of my family, professional credentials and accomplishments.
He submitted everything and had a court date scheduled soon after. Justin accompanied me to this hearing that lasted only a few minutes. My petition was successful and I had my record sealed.
Just also left the door open to contact him if I had any questions related to his work or related to what i may or may not need to report on future applications for employment.
I can not stress enough how professional Justin was and how efficient the Law Firm of Michael C. Hennenberg operated. He was an excellent communicator through the entire process and was constantly keeping me updated by phone, text, and email.
If you are looking for a solid attorney I highly recommend Justin and his law firm.

Corryn has been so kind and understanding with all that's been happening with my parents and their health issues. She is so accommodating with our crazy work schedules and very patient when explaining the legal parts of how a family trust works. When I first spoke with Attorney Rini my wife and I were in a tough place. We did not understand what had just happened with our case and thought it was going to be possible to lose custody of a child we had raised for over 3 years.
Attorney Rini helped us understand the law as it applied to our situation, showed great patience with us and was tenacious for our case.
At the time my wife and I had just moved out of the state and we're forced into a legal battle due to a previous negligent attorney. Attorney Rini came in and quickly cleaned up the mess that was left and began to turn the case in our favor. She wrote exceptional briefs that articulated sound arguments to the court.
During the process, she was always accessible. She responded to our questions, often within hours and kept us updated on the process. This was much different than what we were used to. I always felt that we were in great hands with her in our corner.
I cannot recommend Attorney Rini more highly! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I also must emphasize how important it is to hire an attorney who actively practices within the area of law you need. We needed her expertise in Family Law, specifically a custody issue. She was able to navigate us through what we thought was murky waters while being aggressive towards our opponent.

Chuck also has a unique ability to keep calm and collected in situations where the opposing litigant (and occasionally the opposing counsel) has been extremely unreasonable and/or aggressive. Chuck Royer literally saved my practice. Initially, he was brought in as co-council (to avoid being "homered") for the corporate attorney who was originally representing me. As time went on the other attorney became difficult to reach and was delaying a settlement by dragging his feet. When it became painfully apparent that the case was not being handled in a way that was in my best interest, Chuck took over at my request and settled the case within 2 weeks. Not only could the law suit have dragged on another two or three months, but it would have cost me a fortune, and left me bankrupt. Further delay would also have turned the judge against me since my side would have been responsible for the delay in reaching a settlement. Instead of remaining in the backseat and watching my case slip away while still being paid as a bystander (co-council) as a third attorney did, Chuck listened to my concerns, showed compassion for my situation and quietly took charge, while still maintaining good terms with my other attorneys who were nonetheless valuable for arguing the details of my case. Even though he was brought into the case five months after it had begun and as one of three attorneys representing me, Chuck was able to distill the case into its essential parts, identify what key elements had to be accomplished in order to reach a settlement, and then saw to it that all the players (including my other attorneys, the judge, and the opposing council) acted in a timely fashion in order to push the long over due settlement through. Chuck Royer is an extremely competent attorney, but his compassion for me, his client, is what made him uniquely qualified to settle a case that two other attorneys could not. Thank you, Chuck!

Bill took a very difficult medical malpractice case and spent the time and hard work to win it for our family. His hard work insured great care for our son and college educations for his brother and sister. At one point in the case expenses were $36,000 and a settlement was reached of $27,000 with one of the defendants. Bill insisted we take the $27,000 without deducting expenses. He said we'll catch up later. Over the next 6 years we became great friends because he cared, we were not just another case. To this day he still means the world to all of us. My wife and I had an adoption that was finalized and then vacated two months later. When the adoption was vacated my previous attorney refused to return our calls and left us in the dark while we were in the process of moving out of state. I simply did not know what had just happened.
I sent out over 50 emails to Cleveland Attorneys during the Christmas Season hoping that one of them would be able to explain what had just happened. Most did not respond and the ones that did told me they did not practice in my county or did not work in adoption law.
Early January, Attorney Barrett called me and we spoke. She reviewed my case and explained what happened. My wife and I hired her and she quickly began to clean up a messy situation. Our case will be ongoing for a while and I am confident that I have found the best adoption attorney in Ohio. Whatever result we achieve will be the best that can be achieved.
Attorney Barrett always responds quickly, is upfront with you on what to expect and never gives false expectations, extremely prepared, and has a tenacity that many attorneys do not have when it comes to adoption.
I wish I had known Attorney Barrett prior to this adoption. If I had, then my finalized adoption would never have been vacated. I made the mistake of hiring a general practitioner to handle my adoption case because I did not know any better. That mistake cost me.
When it comes to your family and your adoption, hire the best. Do your research and know-how experienced your possible attorney is with adoption law. You will be surprised at how many don't really know much about it.
I highly recommend Attorney Barrett. It is hard to find an attorney that specializes in adoption and surrogacy.
