It was a tough situation not only did I lose a partner I was also pregnant during my divorce. Mr. Gold was not just an attorney focused on proceedings/agreements, he did so with integrity and empathy, always taking into account who I was as a person and keeping my character intact in all decision-making. It's a very vulnerable and difficult time for me, and easy to lose sight of what is important. When it comes to family law attorneys there are many choices out there. I wouldn't trust anyone to handle my personal affairs other than Elizabeth Johnson. She helped me with a family matter and it couldn't have resulted in a better outcome. I am very thankful to her and her partner, Andrew Klausner, for that.
Her professionalism and knowledge are second to none (unfortunately I've worked with several family law attorneys). Not to mention, she is an attorney you can place your trust in as she is just a great person overall. That comes across from the moment that you meet her. Going through a divorce was probably one of my life's most liberating moment. It was a difficult transition, but to be able to have the courage to finally do something you know you should have done for a long time. I knew the minute I met Andrew and Elizabeth that it was a match. Andrew was so stern, persuasive, and quick on his feet and Elizabeth is so precise, relatable and attention to detail. They both were very matter of fact, problem solvers, and total geniuses with numbers.
After our first initial consultation, I told them what was going on with my husband at the time's on going affairs and abuse. Without judgement, they sat and listened and gave me comfort in examples of what kind of cases they have scene and how mine was not the worse. I didn't have any children, I was still at a pretty young age, and they asked me: "Do you want to leave him?" and I said yes! Just that first decision was a shift in stepping into my own and choosing happiness over obligation. They were able to file for a divorce and served him the subpoena the day he got back from his "business trip"
They were always on top of everything and when we first started off I was making rookie mistakes like forwarding every threatening email my ex would write me which they could have easily billed me for but they made sure to get me on the phone to advise me how to consolidate and print the emails so I can save some money.
The whole team here are so helpful. If I had a question, I would get a response almost right away, or if they were in court at least a couple hours after. If emails were too long to write out, I would get a phone call so that everything is clear and we know exactly what the action plan is as to next steps. I always felt I was taken care of and that they were on my side and behind me, fighting for what I deserve.
During the last step of mediation, and we sat across from my ex and his lawyer. I could not have been more confident and ready. Every attempt my ex brought up to try to take from me such as my luxury handbags, jewelry, 401k, engagement ring, down payment of our houses, somehow Andrew would find something to rebuttal, and reason him out of it.
Through the whole process, they were thorough, strategic and got me out with more than I could ask for. I am finally a new woman, without a cheating husband and have my own house, car and bank account full of savings I can fall back on singing "You don't own me, I'm not just one of your many toys...". I am now officially divorced, the final paperwork was filed with the court and the minute that happened and I got the email from Andrew and Elizabeth I literally felt 100% exonerated.
I know I wouldn't have been able to do it on my own. All that paperwork, my ex and his many masks, scheming, harassing, manipulating... paying the lawyers to do all the work and not having to deal with being in contact with my ex was worth every penny. It's been 8 months since I filed for divorce, I have seen couples that are still trying to get their spouse to sign 2 years after filing for divorce. I am so relieved it only took us 8 months. Now that it's all over, I can move on to the next chapter of my life.
Thank you Andrew, Elizabeth, Robin and the entire team for being so efficient and supportive during this process. I highly recommend anyone looking for representation to hire Andrew and Elizabeth. You will not regret it!

Being a mother in a dangerous relationship/living situation was my worst nightmare -- it became my reality as a 21 year old. Jerry literally helped us when we felt we had nowhere or no one to go to. My husband and I purchased a brand new 2021 Ford Explorer so I can drive around with our 5 boys. We only had about 1k miles and the car caught fire! I was 4 months pregnant at the time and scared to death. We attempted to go through Ford in hopes that we could get some resolution…all they did was pressure wash the engine and change the alternator. I was so afraid of driving my explorer that it just sat in the driveway catching dust. Jerry not only got Ford to pay off our vehicle and take it back, but we received compensation to purchase a new vehicle that we can drive around safely in with our 6 boys. Jerry was very professional, and made sure that we got the maximum which is what we deserved. He’s a no BS kind of guy and was straight up with us from the get go. I received a sizable award from a personal injury lawsuit against my neighbors. These people were extremely dishonest and tried everything to avoid paying the judgment including and a sham divorce and fraudulent home ownership transfer. Tim Krantz was able to obtain a reasonable settlement and more importantly force these horrible people to move. Our Son was charged with 5 felonies... We were in big trouble until someone felt sorry for us and recommended Stephen DeSales. Mr. Razai is a proactive attorney that never lets anything slip through the cracks. He is forthcoming with all the possible outcomes so you can make informed decisions. He also explains the law in a way that is methodical, so things are more clearly understood. There is no middle-man to deal with as he deals directly with your case, so he is always available to respond to emails and phone calls.
Previously, I was dealing with an attorney that I had spent $10k to carryout a set aside that should have taken 3 mos, but took 7 mos. I needed to get my kids back from a my children's narcissistic father who had played the judge at a custody hearing and did not tell the court that I had an excused non-appearance, therefore granted him the custody schedule he had been seeking - a 20/80 timeshare! Mr. Razai took on my case and handled it as if he's done it a thousand times before.
I hired Mr. Razai, who had a clear hold on the Orange County court system and the Family Law judges which gave me a sense of comfort. It also helped that he was a parent himself. But more importantly, he wrote an article about the phenomenon of the narcissistic father battling divorce and acted accordingly during my case. Considering this, I was impressed that Mr. Razai was able to keep the custody and child support hearings out of court which saved me a lot of grief and exorbitant costs.
Mr. Razai was recommended to me by a friend and I would do the same for anyone who is looking to defend your case in a succinct, professional manner. He is a hero in our household because he was able to get my ex to rightfully change our timeshare back to 50/50 AND defend my case against child support modification.

I am a psychotherapist, and was assigned Calkins by my insurance company to help with a case where a client's parent was harassingly subpoenaing me for irrelevant cases, for years. Kenneth Chung is an outstanding attorney and I would highly recommend him. The first time I spoke to Kenneth Chung was over the phone. I was greeted with the utmost courtesy, care, and attention. He was very patient as he listened to me, asking clarifying questions to really understand my problem. He showed interest in my case and spent almost an hour with me on the phone. I've spoken to a couple attorneys before him and they wouldn't give me the time of day. Kenneth is the opposite! I can tell right away he was not about money. He genuinely wanted to help me and guided me through how the case and process would go if we pursued litigation. He was extremely knowledgeable about the law and made me feel so comfortable within the first 15 minutes of talking to him. Because of this, I hired Kenneth to help me with my case.
I came into his office and sat with him for over an hour as we discussed my case in more detail. Kenneth actively took notes. Throughout the case, Kenneth was highly responsive, answering emails almost immediately. His attitude did not change from before and after I signed on with his services, which is a fear of many consumers (people being nice to sell their business and change after you commit). Kenneth continued to display professionalism, care, and attention throughout the case. He treated my case with urgency, much quicker response times than I expected. His email communication are so well written, descriptive at every step, and contained all the needed information (including attachments) for me to review. At a pivotal time in the case, Kenneth was very transparent with the challenges I would face if we kept going. He is the most HONEST attorney I've even seen. Often times, you hear stories about crooked or money hungry lawyers. I can assure you Kenneth is NOT one of them. He was there to help me and I had 100% trust in him. He never pushed or rushed me to make a decision and have always provided me pros and cons of each option I may take, giving me full understanding of the cost, benefits, and consequences of each path.
When the case was over, any unused portion of the retainer fee was refunded to me immediately. I can't say enough about genuine and friendly Kenneth is. Such a professional guy and a great person to work with. Again, Kenneth is not about money but helping people. He didn't charge me some of the time he spent helping me which was huge! Mr. Chung is one of the finest attorneys you will find. I was in a position to lose hundreds of thousands of dollars. I had talked to three other attorneys before talking with Mr. Chung. One of the other attorneys told me I could win my case, however, I was in a defensive position. Mr. Chung and I had a very well paced conversation about my case. At one point during our talk he felt I needed a more elaborate explanation of a pertinent point he was explaining to me. He politely paused our progress in the talk, and explained in more detail his concern. As it turns I could pursue my case from a positive position rather than defensive. What a huge thing for me! He knows what the opposition will be using against you and can consult you as to the correct approach in your concern. I first met Paul about 6 years ago when I was trying to get my dughter back from her grandparents in Texas. The process for me took about 3 years total but Paul was only involved over the final year.
Before Paul I went through an attorney who wasted about 18 months of my time and probably $20 k. Paul got the job done in a fraction of that cost and time and he had to do a lot of research on Texas laws to accomplish this (my previous lawyer did none of that). I am convinced that had Paul been my attorney from the start the seperation from my daughter would have been a year at the most.
Since then I have recommended Paul to several friends and family members and will continue to do so. I have also used him for advice on different matters such as lawsuits and labor issues.
Paul is also very fair when it comes to costs and will pull no punches when discussing these matters. If something is going to take time and/or money he will be very up front with you but will work with you too. If he feels you have no chance to win he will not take your money or give you false hope. He is very up front.
Paul does not like to lose, but this doesn't mean he won't take on a hard case. He is a bulldog and if you decide to retain him for any matter he will go to the mat for you and relentlessly do what it takes for you to walk away happy.
I give Paul an overall excellent rating. I gave him a "good" rating on resposive but he was probably better than good. Surely the fact that he can handle just about any type of matter and he keeps pretty busy made his respose time a little longer than I wanted. With that said, he probably had 20 things going on at once while I was concerned only about my one item.
In a nutshell, I wouldn't hesitate and in fact have hired Paul again for any of my legal needs. He has proven to me to be very competent but just as important in this field he is trust worthy.
If you have a need for legal representation Paul Ultimo is the person you want to hire.

Paul was very understanding and compassionate throughout my entire divorce proceedings. He always had my best interest in mind and fought diligently for me and my children. Before Stan, I had searched or talked to other lawyers and these lawyers kinda talked down to me and made me feel like my case was pointless without hearing my statement. They just assumed. My experience with Greer & Rineer Law was a life-changing one that will never be forgotten. In my situation I was dealing with a landlord who owed me back rent due to the fact that my apartment had been an illegal unit. The city made him close down the place and pay me to relocate but it also became apparent that I was owed back rent. When the landlord found out that I was going to pursue getting back some of my rent he began threatening me with all kinds of things that people with lots of money tend to do. He told me that he would sue me with lawyers that were way more expensive than what I could afford and used all kinds of supposed terminology and fake paperwork that he sent to me showing that I would actually owe him more money if I sought reimbursement. This was a very stressful time for me but, when I was referred to Allegra's Law Firm it was then that everything immediately started to de-escalate and I in turn began to de-stress. The best thing I can say about Allegra's Law Firm is that she and her partner never let anything go over my head. I've never written a Google review before but I had such a positive outcome in my case that I'd like to recommend Ms. Kopelman's practice to those in need of an attorney who can support you through your ordeal. I spoke with a few attorneys when I found myself involved in an unexpected legal mess. I was really frustrated just trying to figure out legal representation, which I've never needed before. Some attorneys were impossible to even reach. I got a lot of answering services. Some attorneys honestly explained why they COULDN'T help me. I was scared and needed help. Lisa Kopelman's name had been given to me by a friend who's son had used her. I left a message with her service at the end of a business day and was shocked and relieved when she called me back the same afternoon.
Lisa made an appointment with me for the very next day and, for the first time since my problem started, I started to feel like maybe there was a way forward. I did not realize the full scope of my situation until Lisa heard me out and put everything into a legal context. I was actually more concerned about some issues that turned out to be more about my reputation than actual legal problems. Lisa distilled the real legal matters and outlined a comprehensive plan of action.
I'm an educator and tried to research the laws and court precedents. I felt pretty informed and totally overwhelmed. That's when a colleague pointed out to me that getting a lawyer is like going to a surgeon. You learn what you can about your condition but you have to put yourself in the hands of the expert when it comes to the actual surgery. So you better make sure you're in the best hands possible. And you have to trust they have only your best interest at heart and they know exactly what you need.
It may sound hokey, but this made perfect sense to me. Once I realized that I had done my due diligence in selecting Lisa, I decided it wasn't helping me or my case to worry constantly. I hired an attorney who I felt had a ton of experience and who would turn over every stone to help me and not miss anything. I can't say I ever felt completely safe during the whole ordeal but I did feel like I'd done all I could and Lisa would take it from there to do everything she could. She was very serious about being thorough.
In the end, I was spared a lot of unnecessary court appearances and Lisa negotiated a resolution, with the other parties involved, that I thought greatly favored me. Not everything went completely my way but I know it went as well as possible. I told Lisa that I hope I never need her services again but it gives me great peace of mind to know she's there.

In 2009 I was in a serious car accident where an uninsured drunk driver doing 85mph hit the car I was driving from behind as I was at a stand still on the 5 fwy. It was a nasty wreak. After getting out of the hospital I was lucky enough to have someone refer Mr. Dawson to me. He met with me immediately and treated me like my case was his number 1 priority. He was very straight with me about what to expect with the process. The insurance on the car I was driving was less than great, only had minimal coverage and like I stated the other driver was uninsured so it was going to be a fight. After all the medical treatment I received over the months to come it totalled out to around $38,000 and the policy only covered $30,000. That doesn't even count for the cost of the car and what Jeff Dawson's legal fee's would be. Jeff and his entire staff stayed in contact with me throughout the claim. It I had a question it either got answered right away or at most within 24 hours. They were all on top of their A game! When the case got settled I was worried about getting everything payed because it was way over the policy limits but Jeff said he would work with the doctors and insurance to get it handled. In the end, all my medical and the car got paid. I even got a call to swing by his office to pick up a check. I still have no clue how he did it but he had a check for $11,000 for me. He had explained in the beginning that if I would have set up my insurance differently, he would have been able to get me a lot more. Jeff is one of the brightess persons that I have met. He genuinely cares about your case and how your handling the situation you've been thrust into. He surrounds himself with the smartest people, great doctor referrals and made a horrible situation a lot less stressful. I have absolutely the utmost admiration for Jeff and the staff he employs. I have recommended him to family and friends. I can't give this guy enough credit, simply an amazing attorney and genuine person. Thanks Jeff Dawson!!!
