I had a very complicated case which required an aggressive knowledeable litigator. She explained thoroughly what to expect and the emotional course it would take during the process. I used Virginia Landry's office for a DUI accusation against me by the police. Ron's knowledge of the laws and sharp eye caught mistakes made by the police not only when they were on the stand, but in the original police report and on their dash cam. The police's account was inconsistent with the facts and Ron exposed them for violating my 4th Amendment rights. Thanks to Ron, my case was dismissed. Although the police ruined my DMV record and affected my insurance, Ron got me justice in the eyes of the law. Thank you Ron!!

Ron took my case and from the beginning he was a class act. He knew the law, case studies, the science behind the processes for a DUI. I felt comfortable the whole time I was going through this long process of DUI court.
I had a BAC of .24 and thought I had no chance to win let alone to even have a plea offer from the DA.
Was I wrong. Ron man handled the DA and had my DUI dismissed. His knowledge of the law and his ability to maneuver through the court process was impeccable. I have 100% confidence that I retained the best DUI attorney out there.
I strongly recommend anybody who has a DUI to contact his office and make an appointment. You will not regret it!

I was stopped by CHP early November'12 and was found to have a BAC level of 0.12. I was not very hopeful of my situation as the BAC was on the higher side and discussions with several lawyers did not give me any hope. Most of my friends and relatives advised me against a lawyer. However, I wanted to hire one just to have the peace of mind and a satisfaction that I did all I could.
I came across the Law Offices of Virginia Landry online and after getting a positive feedback from some of the lawyers I had discussed my case with I met Ron from the law firm. He did not promise me anything but I was impressed by his technicalities in handling the the DUI situation.
After almost 3 months of pre-trials we were able to file a motion based on the video-evidence that did not show any wrong with my driving and the case was dismissed.
I had asked Ron to plead guilty on my behalf long time before but he persisted based on the evidence he had gathered and as a result of that I feel like a free man.

As a professional engineer in private practice, educator, consultant, and subject matter expert in safety and risk management since 1972, I’ve had an opportunity to provide technical assistance and expert opinions to more than 1,200 lawyers, ranging from sole-practitioners to major national law firms. I only mention this because I believe that few clients know what qualities (beside fees) are truly important when selecting an attorney.
I have almost four decades experience working with attorneys. Personally, I rely on my lifetime learning experience gained while providing administrative law and expert witnessing services when offering my opinions to others looking for an attorney (and on that rare occasion when I need to lawyer). That is, any lawyer (not just the law firm itself) I would recommend or hire must be a good listener, have an excellent professional standing within the legal community, attorneys who love the work more than themselves, and one who will carefully prepare the pleadings, promptly complete discovery, and put the case at issue without needing the court’s probing – then an attorney who wants to get your case in front of the Trier-of-fact and then (utmost importance) be prepared for trail with trial and exhibit binders as well as know the evidence needed to present your case and effectively cross-examine your adversary.

Very few attorneys listen and understand. Mr. Gonter is one of them. He will listen to you as a person, then make a knowledgeable decision on how to proceed in your best interests, explaining the process along the way. Mr. Gonter did an excellent job representing our corporation and was understanding of our concerns.
Most importantly, he's well respected by fellow attorneys and judges. His stellar reputation and intelligent approach leads to favorable results.
I used to be impressed by descriptions like "aggressive" and theatrical attorneys whose shot gun style ends up more noise than result. But after seeing Mr. Gonter in action, I was convinced his professional and respectful approach separates him from the cookie cutter attorneys in our area. Lots of attorneys will say they "will do this" and "do that" for you, the difference is Mr. Gonter actually DOES whats right and what works. I'm very satisfied as a client.

Kay Jafari is one of the most honest and trustworthy men I have ever had the privilege of doing business with. I was drawn into civil litigation, because of the actions of an ex-wife. Although I had no personal knowledge of her actions, her conduct resulted in civil action against me, by a private company, and the threat of civil action, by the US Attorney's Office. Kay's expert knowledge of the law, and ability to negotiate on my behalf, resulted in the company dropping their case and the US Attorney never proceeding with theirs. I hired Kelly to help me prove to the Court that my ex was endangering my son by neglecting him over years of drug addiction and failed recovery attempts. Lee was a godsend to our family as we struggled with an extremely resistant and, at times downright mean, district/staff to get a 504 for our daughter. Lee is extremely knowledgeable about Special Education and was firm with her expectations that the law be respected and followed by the school. At the same time she was able to work effectively with everyone involved - and that included some extremely difficult staff. Sara is a true professional and joy to work with. I called her about a commercial tenant/landlord dispute that I was pursuing legal action for. I needed advice on how to draft a demand letter stemming from substantial damages to my office. From the start of our conversation, even when I engaged in verbal diarrhea and spewed numbers and facts and negative emotions at her, Sara remained articulate, intuitive, and calm.
She listened to my brain dump of ideas and thoughts and was able to parse out important details that we could use as leverage in the case. She immediately asked for all documentation (emails, contracts, photos, invoices, etc) of my communication with this horrid commercial landlord. Given that I called her on a busy Tuesday afternoon, she drafted a beautiful demand letter by the end of the week. I was flabbergasted and impressed by her level of commitment to MY cause. I hired Ms.Gulick for her trademark expertise. The experience was excellent. She explained to me how the trademark process works. She then sent me an email stating what she needed from me to process the application. After she reviewed my paperwork and she saw everything was up to par she collected my payment, and the application was sent. She also handles all communication from there on out with the USPTO!

I recently worked with Dave when my company invested in a growing startup he was representing. I just came across his Avvo profile and thought I should lend my thoughts to those out there looking for counsel. I found him to be very thoughtful in what he says, a really fun and easy going guy to be around, and highly creative in the solutions he offers for complex problems. He was certainly more valuable to the deal than my own attorneys, and found some interesting, yet highly effective ways to close the transaction. After seeing how he negotiated with my "big law firm" in the days leading to our closing, I will certainly be calling him the next time I need some help. He is definitely not a "formal" lawyer, so if that is something you need then maybe he isn't the right guy for you, but I personally enjoyed his progressive approach to legal representation.

Howard, as a former County Counsel for the Public Administrator/Public Guardian (PA/PG), handled many very difficult estate matters. PA/PG estates are not straight forward and generally messy but Howard solved all the problems and found a path toward completion so that distributions could be made to the heirs. He is so expert at probate matters that even the Superior Court asked him for advice on occasion when they could not figure out the answer. I have worked with many probate attorneys over the years, so I know a good one when I see him. When the time came to choose a probate attorney for my Mother's estate, I naturally chose the best around and that is Howard. After our attorney retired, I contacted a family friend's attorney. Their offices did not handle conservatorship/trust cases, but told me I was in luck because a very fine attorney, Howard Serbin, had recently retired from the Orange County Counsel. They said I would be lucky to get him. He has been our attorney for nearly four years. Our case is particularly difficult and messy, but Howard has been so supportive, easy to work with, very professional, extremely honest and fair. He is easy to communicate with and timely on all paperwork filed and phone call and email responses. Whenever we are at the court house with Howard he is fequently approached by the staff who are genuinely happy to see him. It is obvious Howard is a respected and admired attorney. I was about to be foreclosed on and didn't have a clue who to use. Now someone mentioned another lawyer but when I went on line I saw all the same name so I didn't know which one they were talkig about. So I basically picked on. I was blessed that I ended up picking a good one. I only had about 5 days or even less before the sale date and when i got the call back, they gave me all my options, they were very honest and that let me know what decision i had to make. i decided to file the bankruptcy and they got the paperwork done and sent out and that stopped the sale. I have spoken to a lot of lawyers in my lifetime, but none were as knowledgeable and professional as Mr. Wallace. My issue was very complex, dealing with a number of specific rental laws and Mr Wallace quickly walked me through the issues and helped me work out a favorable resolution. On my first call to him, he answered 8-10 questions off the bat, which really helped me figure things out. After a short meeting we developed a resolution plan and he wrote up a simple proposal for solving my issue. The opposition didn't know what hit them. Before calling Mr Wallace, I was ready to settle the case and take a huge beating, but after 2 letters and some negotiation, I ended up resolving the issue better than I had ever hoped. My advice to anyone looking for a good lawyer, give him a call and ask him a few questions...you will know as I do that he's the best Real-Estate Lawyer in the business.
One more thing...I'm generally very skeptical when I deal with Lawyers billing practices. I was shocked at how reasonable the the fees were.
