Never having had to hire a criminal attorney before, I was in shock when I found myself in the position of needing one. And fast. Fortunately, I have an attorney friend to whom I immediately went and asked "what do I do" and "who do I contact?" Without hesitation, he told me to contact Larry Bozzelli and gave me his phone number. Within hours I spoke with Mr. Bozzelli and explained my circumstances. Right then and there he gave me the positives, the negatives, and what our next steps would be. I felt like I was in good hands and breathed a sigh of relief. As the matter progressed, he explained each step and everything went exactly as he predicted. Watching him in action it was clear he knew his way around the law, the Court, and was well-respected. Fortunately, our outcome was a positive one and I owe that to Mr. Bozzelli. Dena entered our lives at a very difficult time. My husband had been diagnosed with mesothelioma, and had just undergone extensive surgery. We had been referred to her law firm, Weitz and Luxenberg. David Colleran represent us in a medical malpractice case. He did an excellent job. He was extremely thorough and professional in all of our dealings with him. I would highly recommend Linda Kerns and I do regularly to friends and colleagues. I have used Linda's services on several occasions but most recently with help purchasing a house. Linda is extremely thorough and knowledgeable. She was very persistent about checking the footprint of the property during inspection and thank goodness as the deed of record was incorrect and needed to be amended. She kept everything else in check and is very responsive whatever the time of day.
It is obvious that Linda enjoys her work, but more importantly it is clear that she takes great pride in doing things to the very best of her ability. I know to most that hiring an Attorney is a crap shoot , with loads of legal uncertainty concerns & questions, I was one of those people until I was introduced to Mr. Weiss and his professional concerned staff. During my Legal relationship with the firm I had numerous calls to them about my case which were returned within or less than 24hrs. My wife and I were always kept up to date with our case through e-mails,USPS and phone calls.
When I first met the soft spoken knowledgeable Mr. Weiss I felt he was sort of an easy going guy during our meetings in his office, but when it was time to face the defendent he was extraordinary,fully prepared and took no prisoners. Working with his legal team in court was also very impressive with there timely exchanges of documents and materials. One thing that was very important to me was the well being of my wife in court in front of a jury on the stand, Mr. Weiss and his team prepared my timid wife fully were she was confident, comfortable and relaxed at all times when asked to take the stand.
To conclude my review of Michael Weiss and his firm I would like to say I felt we had a friendship during our case and my wife and I just didn't fell at anytime that we were just another client. My wife and I also received 5 times more than we expected in our settlement.

I had one of the worst misdiagnosis which left me physically impaired for the rest of my life. I knew that I was done wrong by the Emergency Room I visited after they released me and I woke up the next day paralized. I had contacted Michael Weiss, who I had never spoken to before. I had left a message of what basically happened and to my surprise, he had personally called my back that same day while he was on vacation. I had liked his professionalism on the telephone way better than the other attorneys I had also spoken to. All I can say is that it was one of the BEST decisions I had ever made. He is well known in the industry, has kept me informed the entire time, is allways professional and has made a horrible situation for me be more bareable. As an out-of-state resident with a family member in trouble, I needed to find a competent criminal attorney to address charges for an impending court date. I was referred to Mike Engle from the DA's office in my state noting that he was the President of the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Attorneys. I found Mike to be very responsive (he actually called me back the same day) and willing to step me through the legal process. He answered all of my questions in a very friendly manner. We covered the legal implications, the fees, the process, and the potential outcomes so that I felt that putting my trust into Mike's hands was the very best decision I could make after interviewing more than a half dozen attorneys. Now that the case has progressed, Mike has continued to be affable and reachable. We had been involved in an ongoing suit for 2 years. We had worked with 2 attorneys on our case, both came highly recommended. We could not understand why our case was going nowhere. We felt the prosecution seemed to be gaining ground, although we were told we had a good case . Our case dragged on and on.We were bringing strategy ideas to our attorney, because we never heard his strategy plan. Our attorney only intensified our stress level. We were at our wits end. We were the defendants and we had lost any quality of life we once had .
When we hired Abby Sacunas it was as if we had representation for the first time . The difference was measureable; quick action, return phone calls, pressing ahead in an agressive professional manner. She had support staff which kept the momentum pressing forward. Abby was to the point and kept on point. We could not believe the attention our case received. Abby turned our case around. We were guided by Abby every step of the way. She prepped us brilliantly for our deposition. Now the opposing attorney knew he was facing a true professional.

Im a juvenile from WILLIAMSPORT PA it was a racist town/county and they have a 98% prosecution rate. They always target black kids/juveniles and throw any charges the are false & outlandish & 9.99/10 they stick. I have been adjudicated for many charges i didnt have anything to do with because they take the stand, and lie. They tried to put gun, shooting & burglary charges on me after all the other false allegations they charged me with that i had no doing in. My public defender was no help and let it happened. When my mom finally hired Ed. Alva. They acted very straight and played by the rules. He pointed out the facts and saw that it was BS on my evidentiary hearing. And they dropped all my charges and released me from probation the same day he was hired. He's calm understanding and actually does his job VERY well. & he will be my lawyer until he retires. But i will always use this law firm. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

After having several attorneys who did not believe in my husband's case, but did not hesitate to take my money. We came across Alva & Shuttlesworth via referral and was introduced to Mr. Foster. Since day one of speaking to Ed, he saw the vision and believed in my husband's case. He didn't make any promises or sell us dreams like lawyers in the past. My husband currently serving a life sentence for a crime he did not commit has been fighting for his life for over 15 years. I was arrested for two DUI’s a short time apart. The first lawyer I hired (not Kevin) was from one of several solicitations I received in the mail a short time after my arrests. Since I knew nothing about how this all really works, I decided that they were all probably pretty much the same, so I hired the lawyer that was closest to my home. He took my $1000 deposit, and showed up for both hearings, (which really didn’t take much preliminary work on his part). I was very concerned at this early juncture so I tried to reach him at his office several times before trial on either case and he didn’t return my calls until shortly before the first trial. When he did, he said he’s been very busy with cases that are more serious and asked why I was harassing his office, even though I had only called and left polite messages, at most twice a week, without a call back. Needless to say I knew I made a big mistake hiring this guy. So I kissed the $1000 goodbye and quickly looked for another lawyer.
Kevin was recommended to me by a relative who actually works for another lawyer. After talking with him on the phone for a short time, I had a good feeling about him so I decided to make an appointment and speak to him in person. I think I just gave him my name and case numbers, but before I arrived he had already familiarized himself with both cases. He explained everything to me in detail, and patiently answered all of my questions. Although I was, of course, still concerned with the possible pending consequences of the DUI’s, I left his office feeling confident that he was really going to do his best for me. I had been so worried about losing my driver’s license, jail time, criminal record, car insurance, job reputation, etc… I didn’t want to be concerned about my lawyer too. I do field service work so my driver’s license is critical to my livelihood. I came to the conclusion that I really needed to put full faith in my lawyer and let him do his job. With Kevin I felt I could do that, so I did.
Over that course of both cases and many trial appearances, I became even more confident that I had chosen the right lawyer. I discovered that Kevin really knew is way around the court room. He had a familiar rapport with the court officers and officials and knew the personality of each of the judges. He seemed to be well liked by them. He knew exactly how to make the system work for us, and to use a verse from an old Kenny Rogers song, “knew when to hold em, and when to fold em”. He was very versed in court procedures and legalese. He knew which of the legal maneuvers to use and at which time. He kept me completely informed throughout each of the trials and proceedings. Although I’m no expert in evaluating the way a trial goes, I was amazed at his expertise and subtle finesse.
When all was said and done, both of my cases were discharged! I knew I didn’t deserve jail time or to have my license suspended or any of the other consequences, including losing my job, that would have come with a guilty verdict, and Kevin did everything right to assure that didn’t happen. I know he knows just how very grateful I am too, from my obvious joy at the outcome.

Used Kevin for my boyfriends VOP hearing. It was a first time tech. violation for a DUI case. Not only did he get the detainer lifted and avoid further jail time, he was very upfront and honest. He did not give false hopes or make unrealistic expectations. Even for a simple VOP hearing, he put time and effort into the case and even followed up after the case to ensure he was released. Jeremy Gelb represented me on a charge of possession with intent to distribute. The fact that he got me a better result than I ever expected may be the most important reason why I am giving him the highest rating but it is far from the only one. He did a number of things that made me feel like I was a priority. He returned my calls promptly. Even when he was in the middle of a high profile trial in federal court.
