I retained Attorney Barber's services to assist me with a good-cause exception for a fingerprint clearance card through the AZ Board of Fingerprinting. While I was ultimately denied a good-cause exception, it was not for lack of effort or legal skills of Mr. Barber. He took time to get to know me and understand the complexities of my case. He represented me in filing the initial paperwork to the Board, representing me at the administrative hearing, and filing a reply to the Administrative Law Judge's recommendation. At each stage of the process, Bretton was willing to help and put forth a really good effort to try to get my good-cause exception approved. Unfortunately, I believe Mr. Barber was correct in his assessment of the law as it applied to my case in that the Board should have granted my petition, but we don't live in a perfect world. I think my experience may signal the need for the legislature to take a closer look at which misdemeanor offenses should even be included on the statutory denial list and draft legislation that is fair to petitioners so simple misdemeanors cannot be grounds for denial in the first place. Based on my experience with Bretton Barber, I would not hesitate to recommend him to individuals facing situations that require good-cause exceptions or any other matters related to fingerprint clearance cards. It's been several years since I had to use Jim, but all I can say is there is literally no one better :) If you think that some miracle can come along and take you out of your circumstances stop praying and call Jim. I owe him everything, I'd have lost my job like most, lost everything I owned, lost everything I know. But from a lot of research and prayers I met Jim. And that was that. Nothing sort of a miracle. My son’s defense council misrepresented him which resulted in his lengthy prison sentence. Luckily, we were able to obtain council from Ms. DuMond and her associates. Mr. Irish was incredibly helpful with legal advice on reading and understanding the renters laws in place in Arizona as well as corroborating those with the lease I had signed as a renter. When my landlord attempted to kick me out because he wanted to sell the property, Mr. Irish gave me peace knowing that my living situation was protected by Arizona law and that the landlord could not terminate the lease unilaterally or raise the rent in the middle of the lease. I wholly recommend Mr. Irish and am writing this review as I pursue further consultation from him for problems regarding return of security deposit from the same landlord.

I contacted Nicole when my own Living Will attempt on one of those "do-it-yourself" websites went awry. I had started the living will and trust, but needed to make changes. The online host was not open to making changes, so I found and contacted Nicole. Kevin was assigned to my case as a public defender. If I had the money I would still definitely choose him. I had a criminal charge that I was worried would interfere with future schooling/job offers. I was so happy that he got the prosecutor to dismiss the case.
He's very good at his job and honest. Straight to the point about how he wanted to approach the case. I appreciated his honesty and prompt responses if I'd leave messages for him on the phone. Would definitely recommend him to anyone in a bind.

Finding myself in the worst situation I have ever been in, Kevin was there with me through the entire process. It would be almost impossible to describe exactly what he means to me and my family. The first time we met, he was very open and honest about what I was facing and more importantly what he intended to do for me. This never changed throughout the entire process. He is the only man that I would ever trust to represent me or anyone close to me in the courtroom. I won't go into many specifics in this review but I quite literally would not be able to be home writing this right now if it wasn't for Kevin. Im glad I was lucky enough to end up with a lawyer as cool and good at his job as Kevin. I walked into this entire process blindfolded and really didn't know what to expect but Kevin helped me out big time by going over the process and helping me understand what to expect. I was presented with a dubious invoice for attorney's fees (not Danielle's, obviously) and not knowing what was 'reasonable' in the State of AZ (I live out of State, but needed to file in AZ) Danielle evaluated my fees thoroughly, provided feedback, and in record time. My wife and I found ourselves in a complicated legal situation with limited funds and we lucky enough to be referred to Danielle. Michelle was referred to us by our financial planner. The fees were significantly higher than the last will & trust we created 16 years ago. However, her knowledge of the law, level of detail in addressing complex issues and willingness to explain things in layman's terms was helpful. Our work schedules and locations made it difficult to meet, and she was willing to conference call after hours to review the documents and save us a trip downtown. If I could give the Law Office of Richard Groves 10 stars it still wouldn't be enough! I was sued by Cavalry SPV on two debts by two different attorneys. I tried to represent myself on the first one but soon realized it was hopeless, the system is against those who don't know the law. I thought I could obtain all I needed from the internet. WRONG! Of course at first I was worried the fixed fee I paid Mr. Groves upfront might be money lost, but I couldn't have been more wrong! The fee was quite reasonable and the result was that BOTH cases were dismissed! Mr. Groves and his office were very easy to work with and always kept me up to date. I couldn't be more pleased and would recommend them in a heartbeat! If you think you can defend yourself against a debt buyer by using the internet to teach yourself how to do it, take my advice and forget it and hire Richard Groves and his team!

When I received a summons from Midland I was confused, and had know idea what to do. I decided to google Midland and try to sort out what was going on. The first thing that popped up in the search was Richard Groves. I called the number listed thinking I was calling Midland, it was after hours and no one answered so I was resolved to try again the next day. 10 minutes later Mr. Groves called me back. He explained who he was, who Midland was and what they wanted from me. I can’t express how grateful I am that I accidentally called him instead of Midland. I called several lawyers and I needed my questions answered. But they would not answer me in plain easy-to-understand English. I had three lawyers who wanted to take my case. I could not get them to answer my questions. They kept giving me mumbo-jumbo. My mother unexpectedly died in my arms of a heart attack in April 2022. I was disabled and had not worked in thirty years. I lived with my mom for 57 years. She was divorced and I never married. We were each other's caregivers. She was my best friend. I was frozen with terror as there was no money to take care of myself. I had to sell things I owned and received a loan from a family member. I then received financial aid from D.E.S. programs to help pay my utility bills. This whole time I was stuck for three months feeling very uncomfortable about these other lawyers who gave me disinformation and kept me confused. But they kept sending letters pressuring me to sign their contracts. They treated me like a number instead of a real person who was in extreme grief over losing my mom. So I continued looking for a lawyer and thank you God for letting me see and find Kathryn Dicus. Kathryn is amazing in what she does. I suffer from Dystonia one of those awful invisible illness that most of doctors never hard of. After 2 years with another company, I found Kathryn Dicus on Avvo and scheduled a consultation tham hired her. The process takes time, the first judge already had made up his mind on mot approve my case so she complained about that judge and they assigned me to another judge. The new judge granted me partial disability award on a illness that has no cure. So I got some back pay for 2015, 2016 and 2017. So Kathryn appealed my case to the Federal court and they reversed the state parcial award and granted me total disability on November 2020. I finally got the rest of the back pay, monthly payment and Medicare insurance. It took Kathryn over 7 years but she worked hard on my case with professionalism and patience. If you need a disability attorney, you would be crazy not to hire Kathryn Dicus.

We had a case where we had sold our house and thought we had moved on to our new residence without a hitch, when four months later, we received a letter from the buyer's attorney demanding money for repairs for items that they accused us of hiding from them in the disclosure document. Ryan was recommended by a mutual friend, and he turned out to be an excellent choice as our legal representative. At the first meeting, he was very easy to communicate with, as he listened very intently to glean all the details and documentation that we had concerning the case. He quickly came to the conclusion that our opponents had no grounds to make such financial demands and proceeded to elaborate on his strategy to defend us. I liked his plan and I liked his style. Within a just a few days, Ryan had come to an agreement with the opposing party, which resulted in them dropping the case. I never thought I would be a person who would have to hire an attorney to help resolve a simple water flood I had in my home, but the insurance left me no choice.
