Judy Culberson, my ex-wife, left a negative goggle review of my attorney, Marilyn E. Moreno. Ms. Moreno did not represent Judy Culberson, and we made an offer within the first month of the case agreeing to split all assets 50-50. Judy's insistence that she wanted 80% of all assets is what dragged the case on and made me spend money preparing for trial until Judy finally settled. Her review is simply sour grapes. I believe I was given the best representation possible and at a very reasonable cost. All of the staff at Moreno Family Law were very kind and helpful with my case. Marilyn is an attorney that will fight for your rights to receive what is owed to you. I would recommend the Moreno Family Law Firm to anyone that wants a quick and fair outcome in their divorce.

Choosing Moira as my family law attorney was the best decision that I could have made for the protection of me and my children. She is phenomenal, and I know this firsthand because I started out by hiring another (albeit, bigger) law firm to handle my case. After a series of grave mistakes that were made by the first firm (the costs of which I alone had to bear as a result of this firm’s internal dysfunction, their defective pleadings, and the incompetence of their staff), I fired that first firm, and I hired Moira and her team to fully resolve my very complicated family law case. Her achievements on my behalf are truly remarkable.
Moira came highly recommended to me by very good friends of mine who have either utilized her services or know of someone who has. All that I heard about Moira is true: She is a fierce litigator, a strategic advocate, and an experienced counselor who truly cares about her clients and the high quality of her work product. I was skeptical at first, given my prior interactions with lawyers who left a bad taste in my mouth. However, I soon realized that she is truly amazing both inside and outside of the courtroom. Not only does she work really hard, Moira, and her dedicated assistant, Giovanna, always kept me well-informed about my case. They patiently explained everything to me, which often was more than once, since I had to ask for multiple explanations due to my own lack of experience with the law. I am so grateful to them both.
My case included a nasty custody dispute as well as a civil lawsuit (called a Marvin action), as my children's father and I used to own a lot of property together, but we were never legally married. With a brilliant legal mind, a successful litigation history spanning over three decades, and a heart made of gold, Moira succeeded in family court by obtaining full custody for me and an order that the children and I could move out-of-state. She also secured a sizeable monthly child support payment for me, and she negotiated an amazing property settlement agreement in the civil case. While the process was long, painful, and expensive, it was always very clear to me (and to the Family and Civil judges hearing the two cases) that the other attorneys (my ex had to hire two attorneys to fight with Moira) did not have the courage or courtroom experience to well stand up to her in court. I distinctly remember at the first Status Conference following my hiring of Moira, as soon as my ex’s attorney saw her walk into the courtroom, she started shaking like a leaf! Moira’s extensive skill and expertise at resolving cases (one way or another) was always evident during literally every phase of my case.
I am so grateful to be on the other side of this whole ordeal now. I just received my final court documents from Moira, along with a gracious thank you message for giving her and her team, the opportunity to represent me during the most difficult chapter of my life. In all honestly, the honor is mine. Although I had to pay a lot of money for her representation to ensure the protection that I needed for my children and me, I have no regrets whatsoever. Doesn't regularly respond to emails. Mainly in communication with her assistants and never Moira. Bills you largely for making copies and parking seems questionable. I asked multiple times to have a phone appointment with her and I was never responded to. I felt client negligence with her and am traumatized with my experience and felt taken advantage of, emotionally and financially given I felt zero support.

Peter was our counsel on several construction defect/water intrusion & damage matters on multi-family apartments in Northern California. He was very knowledgeable, professional at all times during our association. He kept me informed on progress during the legal process, often without my prompting. I deeply regret my decision to hire this law firm to represent me in court, as they failed to fulfill their duties. Initially, they demanded a retainer fee of $5,000, which they quickly depleted within a month without any tangible progress. To make matters worse, they then requested additional funds. It took them two weeks after our initial meeting to even file the necessary documents stating that they were my attorneys, and even that was the extent of their efforts in court. If it were possible, I would rate this firm with negative scores. I strongly advise against wasting your time with them, as all the positive reviews are deceitful. This firm should be permanently closed down and prohibited from assisting anyone. I simply needed one task accomplished for my divorce, but instead, they consumed all the retainer fees by excessively communicating through emails and phone calls, which proved to be fruitless. I find myself in the exact same situation as when I first started, having wasted an entire month that I can never retrieve.
It is crucial to seek out genuine lawyers rather than unscrupulous individuals.

Linda is not only very personable and knowledgeable, she explains things (using a white board as appropriate) thoroughly in language that is easy to understand without feeling that your question is inappropriate or ignorant.
Linda explained various options available to us in our need for a will, trusts and durable medical power of attorneys and then gave us very detailed forms to complete that were extensive but, again, easy to understand. She told us not to hesitate to call her with any questions we might have.
Our concerns included protecting our assets and reducing the tax liabilities for our heirs. Linda was able to explain the current tax laws and helped us make decisions that met our needs. We felt that the final documents she drew up met those concerns and needs. Linda's work is thorough, accurate, and definitely personalized.

I hired Saeed Ghafari at 2013 for divorcing , we don't have any child , we don't have any thing together such as house , car , bank account. Every time I called my lawyer to see what's going on with my divorce case his answer was you have to wait and I trusted him and ofcourse I wait , but since 5 months ago I been calling him more then 100 times and mostly he didn't respond my phone call finally he went to court to see what's going on with our case and he said I'm gonna call you and let you know and he forgot again the Same as always after calling him for a week, he finally responded and he said it was a wrong date on your document , and I said that mean after fixing this any thing will be done and he said yes but is not done yet he said in a week you will recive the document and I wait and wait and finally he said you guys have to wait for more 3 months ,,,,,???? I really don't know what should I say

This attorney wasted our TIME AND MONEY.
His office staff has a VERY HIGH turnaround rate. Due to this our immigration case never moved forward. We met with so many secretary's in the 2 years we were with him. I would say about 4 or 5. Attorney never calls back and has a horrible memory recollection when it comes to meeting again. I would expect the attorney to know where my case left off instead of asking me.
Please stay away. If you value your family, time, and money look for a better attorney that practices in a more professional manner. It makes the difference.

Robert David Baker assisted me with successful immigration to the US from South Africa in 2013. Richard is not only a experienced Trial Attorney but also a man that has a heart of gold! Rich represented my wife in a case that had so much stinch of police corruption, and got much truth during the Preliminary Hearing by cross examining the witnesses. He had prepared many questions and delivered them so elequently yet brought out the truth and lies of the alleged Victim. Having been in law enforcement for over 28 years myself and seeing many Attornies who sell their clients down the stream, it was a breath of fresh air to have an attorney who really cares about unraveling the truth in a "deal making" DA office. Stay away from John Hinkle and Richard Pointer, this law firm will charge you an arm and a leg and you will get screwed HARD in the end. First of all he will fee you for everything on top of the $15K for hiring him. He is hard to get in contact with, I feel like when I see him he just doesn't give a flying crap about you or your case and doesn't even shake your hand. One time I went to court and he was never there! I had to go up to the judge and say "my lawyer isn't here to represent me". He lost my motion to dismiss, he is slow, old, and will confuse you while on the stand. look for someone else.

Rebekah has been my attorney for 3 years. She knows what she’s doing. She knows the Judges and they respect her. We have been able to settle a few issues and she is an effective and aggressive negotiator. On the other hand, we’ve gone to court several times and she is a pro. I hired Rebekah Frye (and I guess by proxy, her staff). Billing statements not clear and billing hours seemed generous if not inaccurate. I approached Frye about the bills but my concerns were never addressed. The pros of Frye: she knows the judges. The cons: very expensive.

Not so great. Everyone got riled up, whick he did on purpose, and that went poorly in court. We ran around preparing for an eminent trial that never happened and the preparation was exceedingly expensive.
A new attorney sorted things out right away, and knew what to do

Just too many instances to mention with this 4k character limit, but I will squeeze in as much as possible. In 2002 I found myself in heartbreak hell. My girlfriend at the time decided after a ten year relationship and a beautiful 2 year old daughter that she wanted to call it quits.. She knew she had the control box to my heartstrings (my baby girl). So of course she ran with it. My daughter brought to me unconditional love. Now her mother was trying to prevent me to embrace it. So naturally, family courthouse found its next victims. Things were not going as well for her as she planned so she upped the anni a bit and decided to cut her arm and say I did it even though I was 25 miles away from her in a completely different city. The facts didn't seem to matter at that point because she had rallied up the officers so much that I was going to jail regardless of the facts. Next thing I know I am in jail with a false DV charge. So that sets the stage, along with, supervised visits, my 2 year old daughter was now living in a 1 bdrm apt with mom and new boyfriend illegally, unlawfully calling my probation officer and councilors telling them lies such as I'm stalking her and she is afraid for there lives so the police come and arrest me. This happened on 5 different occasions, including one time while I was at work, another was on my daughters b-day and while the guests were arriving I was handcuffed on my way downtown, and when my mother came to visit from out of state. She would also have my daughter call me at work at 7am crying with the words "I miss you daddy" then ripping the phone away from her saying "ok we got to go" all I hear is my daughter crying before hanging up. The pain was unbearable. Thats about the time Mr Tillman came into my life. I was wounded so bad there were times I could not talk. Seriously couldn't think right. I was at the lowest point possible. I was so bad that often times when I tried to speak my point I would reach mid sentence and completely lose focus and forget what I was actually talking about.. Pat would get upset with me asking if I was on drugs, and if I was, he wasn't going to represent me because he himself didn't want me raising my daughter if I was high. Thats when I knew Pat was a stand up righteous man and didn't tolerate any bullshit. So shortly after hiring Pat things started looking up. By him sorting through all facts and docs he quickly seen how the ex was manipulating the system, and doing a hell of a good job at it.
What happens next is why I consider Pat my real life super hero and why I will forever be indebted to him. I didn't realize it at the time, but as he was gaining me credibility in the eyes of the court by strategically bringing the truth to light. He was also molding me bringing me back to life. Chopping up all the lies and false accusations fully discrediting the ex and all the garbage that came out of her mouth. He subpoenaed the councilors that were over stepping there boundaries by making recommendations to judges based on unethical non permitted phone conversations and strictly prohibited meetings with the ex. One councilor in particular at "new Beginnings" met personally with her twice and one 45 min phone conversation. The councilor "Sally Dandenberg" new this was unacceptable business practice and arrogantly denied the accusations. Then to everyones amazement Pat produced the original recommendation note Sally had given to the judge and so arrogantly denied ever existed. The news of our victory and Sally's pathetic pity tears quickly reached my probation officer. Fearful of receiving one of Pat's anti corruption subpoena slaps, my probation officer had signed off on my remaining 3 years probation term, for he knew he was guilty for punishing me based on the ex's false accusations.

I had an extremely difficult time with my Bankruptcy because my ex- was trying to play dirty and frame me with the goal of getting my house even though it was in my name as sole property. I had to declare Bankruptcy because he and his family fired me from the family business, never paid me for several months of back pay and then proceeded to attach me and my children.
David ensured that I made a complete filing which later stood up in Divorce court; and, thanks to David's preparation and attention to detail, helped me win my Property Settlement in my Divorce.
I have to apologize as this review is very late in posting because I was busy fighting for my Property (for 9 years). His team, including Daniel, Phan and Leela, were very nice to work with and very helpful to my case.

Carl was reccomended through Modest means bar association, and he sounded quite competent upon initial consultation. I brought all the case documents to him and paid the retainer. After that a bad divorce/child custody case case I hieredCarl to help me with went from bad to worse. He lost my court paperwork, stating I never gave it to him. Then he said that the child support court date I requested was not on calendar, and most probably was never filed.....turns out I wasn't crazy, and there was a court appearance I, thanks to Carl missed. As a result, my x is now seeing me for his lawyers fees.
Then Carl dissapeared, and I mean for almost 3 month and right before another court date.....which didn't happen due to start of Covid, but I had to ask my x to find out what is going on, since I thought Carl was sick with Covid and probably dying or dead...he wasn't. After 3 month of texting, calling, and emailing, to no avail, I reached out to Bar association that recommended this stellar professional, to see if he actually passed away, and how I could get my case documents and my retainer fee back. That's when Carl finally decided to answer my call. There is allot more, but all I will say is that other party filed motions, requesting documents I knew nothing about, as I moved, and Carl didn't bother notifying court of my address change, nor me about anything going on with the case. The one and only court appearance was done via phone, because he was in another state, attending family function, and he remained silent, not speaking up for me throughout the whole proceeding. When I asked what is going on, and showed my displeasure with what is going on, he said that he will not be able to proceed with my case....I think it was the best thing Carl has done for me.
I have never encountered such incompetence, lack of professionalism, and outright disregard for the work he charges clients money for.
I now have to pay allot of money to have another lawyer fix the mess Carl made out of my case in a short period of time.
Carl doesn't deserve the one star. If you are considering hiring this "professional " because he is inexpensive compared to others, think again.....you are better off on your own.

I made an initial consultation appointment for $350. I was charged $550. Mr. Maynard then lied and told me the $350 was a "special price" due to time sensitivity. A complete lie. He has refused to return my personal papers/info. When I emailed, he threatened me, called me and extortionist, and threatened to sue me. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

I cannot say enough good things about this firm! They just got me out of the biggest mess of my entire life! After years of paying my empolyees as independent contractors, they all got together and hired a nasty money grubbing contingent lawyer to sue me for overtime that they never worked and their own unpaid taxes. I would have been bankrupted if Maynard had not proven that they were wrong!!!!! It took about 8 and a half months of agony and over $10,000 in fees to Maynard, but now they are gone, finally! This firm is great! The first 3 firms I talked to said I was going to lose! Thank you Mr. Maynard!

I have hired Dennis for several years now (off and on) with an exhusband who is a prick. Dennis listened to my questions and concerns. He gave me honest (sometimes things we don't want to hear) answers and solutions to my problems. He was upfront about costs and told me what to do to cut them. Felicia had to show up at one of the court motions for Dennis and she did an excellent job - considering I had never spoken with her prior to seeing her in court. I was impressed with her. As far as their paralegal she is wonderful. Again, she listened to me and gave me honest, upfront answers. They always did what I wanted to do. I have recommended numerous friends and all have been happy. Other reviewers complain about the cost, however, I have found that they are all about the same. So for me, I want MY attorney to be able to stand up to my prick of an exhusband, not cower to him and help him out ---as my prior attorney did.

He took an incorporation case but he was not knowlegeable in this industry as he mentioned that he is knowlegeable and he charged every thing as you can think of, even an email for making an appt. After the meeting, 3 weeks has been passed but he has not done any work because he was working on bigger (more money) case but he would charged me for that research this research. No work was done. The whole thing was started from the written review that I wrote on an outfit that offers the government-grant training program. The outfit considered the review I wrote as defamation on their program. They had a well-known big law firm to take me to court and accuse me of slandering. A friend of mine who worked with Mr. Chun more than ten years ago recommended me to have Mr. Chun as my defense attorney. I am glad that I did that.
Mr. Chun has worked diligently with me to go through every detail of the background of my written review on the outfit. Mr. Chun represented me and won the case swiftly in the court. The court also ordered the outfit to pay the damages that they have caused to me because of the lawsuit they have launched.
