I was looking for a lawyer to represent me in a law suit and Moran Law was recommended to me by the LA Bar Association. From our initial phone conversation to the final resolve of the case, Mike Moran and his op notch team were behind me 100 percent and led me through every phase of the process. They were there to answer phone calls and e-mails and always responded promptly. They realistically assessed my case and informed me of all of the pros and cons associated with it. They made me feel comfortable and confident, since I had never been involved in anything like this before. They fought for me through a lengthy arbitration process until we were happy with the final settlement offer (Avoiding a court trial).

It was nice to speak with the attorney, Sam, that would be handling my case. Most firms you need to speak to an admin or they're just in a rush to get you signed up at exorbitant rates. At the time I met Misty I was involved in a complicated Bankruptcy case pertaining to Probate matters that had been in dispute for three years. My court case at that time had cost me in the upper dollar amount of 80K, paying three pervious attorneys to defend me. Due to the complications of my Bankruptcy and Probate case none of my previous three attorneys seemed to know how to end the case filed against me so that I could have my Bankruptcy approved and Probate case closed. After meeting with Misty she explained the complications of my case. The litigants who filed the case against me were using the Bankruptcy courts to continue their Probate arguments thus effectively not allowing me to complete my Bankruptcy and settle the Probate case. I was being audited by the U.S. Trustee and sued in Bankruptcy Court for probate matters. Misty immediately contacted the U.S. Trustee who was auditing me, meeting all the Audit requirements she was able to have my Bankruptcy audit approved with no penalties or disagreements all within weeks. She then began to work on a strategy to have my Bankruptcy converted to a Chapter 13 that effectively ended the dispute regarding the Probate case. Misty strategy worked my Bankruptcy was approved and the Probate case that had been an open court case for three years was settle and approved also. I personally be leave if Misty was my attorney during the initial opening of my case it would not had lasted three years and cost me 80K. Her dedication to clients, her morals and honesty far exceeds her peers. Misty is an attorney that sees more than a client, she involves her self in a case as if it were personal and treats her clients like family, she is an attorney that takes action and truly wants a resolution in the best interest of her client.

Misty was outstanding in helping me with my bankruptcy. In the course of my business (real estate), I have worked with many lawyers, and in general I do not have a high opinion of attorneys. Misty is an exception - not only did she handle my complex case (dozens of assets, 30+ creditors, community property issues) very skillfully, she also managed my fears and concerns with compassion and understanding. Michael Chu is an amazing lawyer whom worked tirelessly on my unique case. I had an accident in November 2013 that took me longer than expected to heal from and followed horrible advice from others. I listened to the wrong people and read wrong advice. Months later, I acquired Michael Chu in March 2014. It seemed to be like an open and close case, but given the bad advice, I found myself more in a predicament that Michael helped me with. He was very professional, easy to contact via email or phone, very responsive, contacted the opposing party and tried his best to resolve the issues outside of court, and was able to resolve my case. It required much more work than expected, but Michael was always helpful, responsive, and welcoming. We never went into litigation since it was resolved prior, but his work was very organized and well written.

Coming from a family of attorneys who died with elder abuse and fraud connected to their deaths and estates, I have been beside myself dealing with corrupt and incompetent lawyers in the last several years. Out of the hundreds that I have connected with, I can usually tell in a matter of minutes what they are about, especially since I have a degree in psychology which helps me read people a little bit better. Joel has given me endless hours of free help and is the most compassionate, competent, caring attorney I have found since dealing with the probate nightmare you hear about too often with lawyers contributing to the abuse of seniors out of greed. Joel is the exact opposite and has so much compassion that even though he's on overload usually with trials and pending litigation, he picks up his phone and takes the time to listen and help. If he were like most lawyers out there he could have charged me thousands of dollars for his time yet did not. We need more attorneys like him out there to make up for the rest. To set the stage, I'm a father in CA who won custody of my two daughters. This is not normal, but with Marie it can. When you're going through the legal process it is not only the other side you deal with but your unfamiliarity with the system can draw up all kinds of emotions & stress. That all went away when you're working with a talented, thoughtful and seasoned professional like Marie. Every step of the way the vision was met and I didn't think, I knew Marie realized what was at stake...it wasn't me, it wasn't another win for her, it was the future of two amazing girls who needed to be in a significantly better, less toxic situation.

My partner and I hired Marie Braun to help him through his divorce. It had stalled after three years of separation and seemed no end was in sight. Ms. Braun was wonderful in keeping perspective in our case. This was a severe alienation case and lies about payment of support. The other party did not keep any records of support payments made and filed a ridiculous claim that no support was made. Marie meticulously went through all bank records and wage garnishments and determined the OVER payment of over $15,000!
She also was able to get the court to modify a custody order to help get back to a reasonable visitation schedule.
When we felt desperate that there would be no end to this, she helped encourage us. We were truly grateful for her help in getting our case on a forward track. I would recommend her to any of my friends going through a divorce.

I utilized Chris’s services this past year, during which I was a gestational surrogate. He was a pleasure to work with. I was referred to Chris Jackson from a fellow family member who is also an attorney. I was skeptical but my family member assured me that Chris was the best in the business. I was going through a time of confusion and vulnerability. My ex wife took me to court and she had a lawyer but I didn't. The day of seeing the judge I left that court room with nothing except more bills owed to the ex spouse and only 10% child visitation.
When Chris got involved everything changed. Within eight months Chris was able to turn my whole case around. Instead of the ex taking my house, half the business, assets, ect he was able to put things in my favor. I walked away with 50/50 child visitations, keeping my business, house and all my hard earned assets which I worked my ass of for and on top of all that was able to settle with the ex wife for under 20k.
I'm not much of a guy who gives rave reviews or even take time to write a review but for whoever is reading this know that Chris and is company (Shorebreak Law) are the real deal and can pretty much save you from any situation if you listen to and follow the information he provides. Ton Nguyen is definitely well qualified and a great attorney. I referred a family member who got into very serious trouble involving a hit and run. In that case, all of the charges were dismissed. Mr. Nguyen’s research and knowledge of the case along with his determination to best represent his client’s interests were outstanding. I do not know of a better criminal defense lawyer with more criminal defense knowledge and experience that I could recommend. I engaged Jeannette as my attorney after getting a judgement against me in small claims court, and realizing that I needed a lawyer to help me identify the correct legal approach to take, and to help me present my case in a succinct and well prepared manner.
Jeannette, was a tremendous help. She identified the legal points that were irrelevant, and those that were key to winning my case.
She took the facts of my case, email copies, and other supporting material that I sent her, and organized them into the order in which they should be reviewed in court in front of the judge.
Jeanette provided a fixed rate contract for the case, and divided her support for the case into preparation, and in-court support, and gave me the option to either get her legal advice and assistance in the preparation only, or to also have her help me present my case in court. Her approach was fair and flexible.
After getting Jeannette's help with the preparation, I decided that I needed her guiding hand in court. Jeannette's role in court was that she asked me questions, based on the material and legal strategy which she had assembled, which I answered in front of the judge, and she passed the judge the supporting material as exhibits.
As a result of Jeannette's legal advice and in-court legal representation, the outcome of the case was that the court not only overturned the judgement that the small claims court had made against me, but the court also ruled in favor of my case that the defendant should pay me back the payments that I had previously made to the defendant, due to his contract breach. The court also awarded me court costs and attorneys fees.
I strongly recommend Jeannette Darrow for anyone engaged in a small claims case, and she clearly has the experience and legal knowledge to support clients in other civil cases.

Mr. Nabi is an attorney that operates with integrity, compassion, and diligence. My husband and I retained another lawyer who we later found out was involved in accusations of fraud and was suspended. Mr. Nabi took our case as a collegial favor to the first lawyer, and did not charge us for his service. We were suspiciously cautious, but the only other choice we had was to shell out another $2500.00! After we began to work with Mr. Nabi, it became obvious that he was truly committed to helping us resolve our bankruptcy issue. He discovered an error in the calculation of our actual eligibility for a bankruptcy and began to help us understand why we would have to wait to file. He helped us figure out where to complete the online classes that are required, and prepared us for the next steps in the process. Once all the paperwork was re-typed and submitted, Mr. Nabi communicated with us regularly and attended the meeting of creditors with us. Ultimately, as he had assured us, we were able to get the debts discharged and start fresh. Almost a year after the bankruptcy, I received a notice from a creditor that claimed I was party to a debt with my daughter. I contacted Mr. Nabi and he handled the situation by contacting the creditor. Within two days, my name was removed and I received a release from the creditor acknowledging their error, even though I had tried to tell them that! My daughter’s case had been filed over a year before we met him by another attorney, yet Mr. Nabi was graciously willing to answer my questions about what she could do two years after discharge. He offered some suggestions and she has moved forward as well. Mr. Nabi has my highest recommendation as a bankruptcy attorney. He will certainly go the distance to help you through this difficult time in your life journey.

I was involved in a serious motor vehicle collision in 2022 and I had initially hired one of those "billboard injury lawyers".
