Luke and his team (especially Ann O'Neil) went above and beyond to support my mom and our family through a lawsuit that the defendants dragged on for much longer than we thought was possible. Throughout it all, Luke regularly kept us informed, made sure to explain the issues in plain terms, patiently answered our questions, and handled our emotional displays (when things looked dire) with compassion and professionalism. He made sure to be realistic about setting our expectations, but at the same time was so tenacious that we never doubted that he was doing his utmost to keep the case moving forward. Trustworthy, reliable, and effective. Our Homeowner's Association Board reached out to Frank for help on multiple association collections issues. We expected competent legal advice, but Frank delivered extra value to our HOA by providing guidance which helped us to anticipate and avoid problems. He diligently kept us informed about our cases in a very timely manner. Frank has been generous with our board by sharing his expertise and he took the time to make certain that everyone on our HOA Board understood the issues. What initially seemed like a big headache was efficiently resolved by Frank. When a separate collections issue arose, we reach out to Frank and knew we would be in good hands. Lori’s a little more expensive than some divorce attorneys ($375/hr), but well worth it. I’ve often found that lawyers who cost more per hour, end up costing a lot less in the end. She’s one of those.
Over the course of several contested divorces and custody battles, I’ve used 5 different divorce attorneys and Lori’s by far the most effective at getting what's fair and moving you past what's likely to be the most difficult period of your life.
I was referred to Lori by high-powered women in the Seattle investment community. They represent many high-net-worth individuals and were concerned about me. They had watched too many of their customers, both male (like me) and female, get decimated as the result of poor legal representation.
I like Lori for many reasons, especially because she’s one of the creators of a small new movement in family law call “collaborative divorce”. The purpose of this practice is to do the deal ... get the divorce over with ASAP … for the sake of the children (especially) as well as the adults. Lori doesn’t believe in profiting by empowering her client to believe he/she is in the right when they’re not. That does nothing but extend the painful, destructive divorce process interminably ... at the expense of the client's emotions and cash.
Knowing her reputation as a powerful peacemaker, I invited Lori to criticize any demand I felt like making that was unreasonable in her eyes. She did so in a compassionate way. She headed off behavior on my part that wasn’t conducive to settlement by explaining _why_ certain details of my approach wouldn’t work best.
She sometimes based her opinions on experience and sometimes on a description of how I would be perceived if I didn’t change myself for the better — i.e. it's usually not a good idea to place fault in a divorce -- you chose him/her afterall, and both parties are hurting no matter how it appears. In my mind, I learned that the only fault in the process is when a client hangs on to anger, blame and revengeful thinking — thinking that many other divorce attorneys simply encourage.
And yet, Lori also fights like hell for you in a compelling and effective way, at just the right moments and by picking the most important points to get out of the way first. She’ll do what it takes even if she has to get down into the trenches to become your warrior.
She’s busy so I’d suggest getting on her calendar soon.

I was new to this area and was in need of an attorney for a divorce, I have only met a few people here and started to ask around and I was given Brad Feit's name twice by 2 different people. So I decided to go and have a visit and after sitting down with him for just a few minutes he was so down to earth and I felt so comfortable. I have had attorney's in the past and boy most of them do not have that personality so this was a breath of fresh air to say the least. I asked for help in a payment plan as I was new to area and was living on savings till a land a job and he was so accommodating that also made me feel so much better and relieved. He knew his job and explained each step of the way that was going to happen, he also kept in touch with me via email and phone and if I had any questions he got back to me with answers. IMHO, Dan Mallove is a very rare attorney. He is wise, he is thorough, he is humble, and shows compassion towards all parties. He commands much respect. I regret that he has never represented me. But I am glad to have known him although in an adversary position. It is refreshing to know that a few attorneys with so much integrity exist.

I contacted Will after I had a legal dispute with my landlord. Working with Will was fantastic – he gave me well researched legal advice, was incredibly levelheaded, and I left feeling like he really knew what was best for me. Although I was skeptical I would leave negotiations with a good resolution, Will followed up frequently and I was surprised to leave with the terms I had wanted it while still maintaining a good relationship with my landlord. Savvy lady. Really knows the law. Sad that other attorney's seem to just throw stuff at the court to see if it sticks and she's good at being smarter and putting the law behind you.
Knows parenting plans, parenting evaluations, Domestic Violence better than anyone. If you have a difficult parental custody issue she'll get you through it always thinking strategically for you. Through Linda’s legal representation, the court awarded me custody of my grandson. My grandson was living with me to avoid the abuse he experienced in his own home.
This was a particularly challenging situation for many major reasons.
(1) My grandson’s divorced parents lived in another state, which created legal complications for obtaining guardianship.
(2) We had no “hard” evidence of my grandson’s abuse with his family due to his living 100’s of miles away.
(3) Social services in his home state wanted to reunite my grandson with his father, who was his primary abuser.
(4) For several hearings, as long as his mother phoned into the court, I was not granted custody of my grandson.
Linda not only did the legal work with the court system, she worked as an intermediary for me in numerous discussions with my grandson’s parents.
This combination of legal skills and acumen resulted in my having permanent third-party custody of my grandson. He will have the safe life I promised him by growing up in my home.

I first hired Erik to advise us about an office lease in a downtown Seattle tower that we had chosen after more than 6 months of looking and close to 50 space-tours with brokers. Ultimately, based in part on Erik's helpful advice, we decided not to complete that lease transaction. Along the way Erik mentioned he is a broker, in addition to being an attorney, and so I asked him if he would help us look for a new space for our firm. Erik came to our office, listened hard to our needs, asked a number of insightful questions, and then returned with just one space for us to tour. We went and had a look. The space Erik pointed us to was perfect for our needs, and we quickly completed that lease transaction and took occupancy. It is with high recommendation that anyone seeking attorney representation, one seriously need consider Mr. Josh Joerres. I personally have used representation with Mr. Joerres, pertaining to a product liability and home owner’s insurance claim. After dealing with my homeowners insurance, the manufacturer and their insurance company concerning the faulty product I found myself in over my head with nowhere to go except beating my head against the wall. I broke my tooth at a Seattle Chineese Restaurant. I went in to talk to the owners about the situation and it did not go well. I left feeling like I was verbally assaulted and very confused!! Great Attorney. Had him as a defender in criminal matter and the way he kept and held the State to Jurisprudence gave me confidence throughout the entire procedurals. It was like he had a cord tethering him to the grounded Truths. Specifically speaking upon one of his maneuvers: a Cop had under oath lied and Him being faced with the dilemma of A.) Objecting upon "Violating Amendments" with the caveat as Possible additional year(s) added; but required My taking stand for Obtaining facts, thus subjecting us to factually admitting Terms of Guiltiness or, B.) Draw up deal(?) offered up. Well he smacked the cops' testimony for a Power line-drive! I was dubious of helping us either way, but I always had faith in his convictions (Irony?); but not so beit his swaying of it, but -this being of trail phase- he broke out the Szweet Suit! My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 nueroendocrine cancer 3 months ago. We have two young children and were strongly encouraged by family to create a will in order to see that they would be taken care of in accordance to our wishes should anything happen to us. I don't think anyone enjoys creating such a document but in our case the idea of creating a will was particularly stressful.
I had all the confidence and faith that my husband would know full health again and didn't want him to think that by creating a will that I was giving up on my belief in his future. I discussed the issues regarding our situation with Shelley Buckholz and my concerns about how my husband might feel under the circumstances. I have to say that all of my fears were for not. Shelley was very tactful and professional in her wording and handling of every aspect of our meeting. If only some of his doctors could have the grace and kindness that she did.
We are very glad that we used Shelley and appreciated her thorough knowlege and ability to guide us easily through the process. We also appreciated that she mentioned a few documents which we hadn't considered (medical power of attorney--living will) which were of great use to us. I am not sure it is that difficult to find a lawyer who can throw a will together for you. However, if you want someone who will skillfully and mindfully walk you through your legal needs and who has your highest interests in mind then I recommend that you consult Shelley.

We had a problem with our Seattle rental whereby we were trying to get out of a lease mid 2nd year as we bought our own home. The landlady was trying to extract a huge amount of money for us to leave the property claiming we were locked into a 2 year lease, despite unclear lease terms and no early termination clause.
