Peter gets results. My ex wife did everything that she could in her power to conjure up lies in effort to send me to jail. I was frustrated but turned to Peter. We took our case in front of a jury, and he was able to contradict my ex- wife's testimony and extract the truth. The jury went to deliberations and with an hour they delivered a no guilty verdict. I was ecstatic and felt a major weight lifted off my shoulders. Unfortunately my legal problems didn't stop there. My ex-wife continued to use the legal system unethically attempt to send me away for along time. She falsely accused me of violating a no contact order by driving by her house. It was bought to my attention that there was a $25,000 warrant out for my arrest. Once again I turned to Peter. I was angry and agitated because of the incessant false allegations. Peter infused in me that he would thoroughly investigate and defend my innocence. One by one he began to uncover hidden truths about my innocence. He initially went to the prosecutor encouraging them to dismiss the case because there were just to many inconsistencies in my ex-wife's statements, and that I was an innocent man. The prosecutor was stubborn and refused to dismiss the case. Nonetheless, Peter remained steadfast and wouldn't give up. He continued to collect more information in effort to make it more apparent to their office that I was innocent. Finally after numerous of sit downs with the prosecutor analyzing all the evidence, they finally agreed with Peter and this dismissed the case.

I hired Diane for my visa processing as she had done excellent job in getting my H1-B application approved much sooner than I expected.

Having a young lawyer assigned your case can initially send shivers through the spine of a defendant. After our first few meetings with Ana, we recognized her ability to thoroughly research the allegations, their non-significance as it pertains to laws, and the facts of the case. She prepared a straight forward defense, and in the end, won our case via a dismissal.

I'm a small business owner who was hit with a lawsuit from a much wealthier client who cynically bet his deeper pockets would destroy my business long before his audacious claims would ever have to be proven in court. And I believe now that had any other attorney besides Mr. Paine represented me, this individual would most likely have been right. To my great fortune, however, Mr. Paine was my attorney and he proved to be exceptionally knowledgeable, skilled, and loyal to my cause.
And that is perhaps the greatest point I can make here in this review; Mr Paine was there for me, steadfastly representing me and making sure I understood what was happening in the suit and what my options were throughout. He literally kept me sane when I thought all was lost.
If attorneys have a doctor's equivalent to a "good bedside manner," Mr. Paine has it in spades.
We won the case and even more remarkably, managed to reach a settlement that actually compensated me for the original work I did for the client in question. At the start of the proceedings, I thought such an outcome totally unattainable.
If you're looking for an attorney who absolutely knows what he's doing and can skillfully navigate all phases of a lawsuit to your best advantage, you should give Mr. Paine a call and see if he can help.
I'm certain I'm better off for having done so.

I frequently come to Alexander when I need someone to review contracts. Yesterday was no different - I emailed him at 9am to ask if he had time to review a new contract. He got back to me within a half an hour, and by lunchtime I had his edits in my inbox.
He's great at understanding the level of detail you're looking for. I didn't need an entire rewrite of this one, I just needed to clarify my understanding of a few clauses, and take the teeth out of a few more. He identified ways we could overhaul and improve the entire contract, but in the mean time provided exactly the sort of work product I was looking for, at the speed I needed.

Gideon was very receptive to our needs from the very beginning. We contacted him to help us start a new small business. We were looking for help on government documents and with forming an LLC. he immediately started the ball rolling and had us on a timeline which he always stuck too. If he was unavailable then he would let us know prior. Everything that we asked for was provided for us as well as much more. He explained all the aspects of a small business start up and even included things that we were completely unaware of, such as intellectual property (ideas) and different ways to split ownership vesting. All legal government forms were handled by Gideon in a timely manner and it made things very easy for us as a business. Even though he took on many of the responsibilities, he never failed to keep us totally informed on every action he was taking.
He acted very professional throughout the entire process and even volunteered conference calls on the weekend to accomodate our busy schedules. Everything was clearly lined out for us as a company and Gideon also continued to follow through after our business was done just to check on our Company's well being.
The pricing was great and the service he delivered was of far greater worth than what was charged!!

Working with Denise has made a terribly hard situation easy, or as easy as it could have been. I am so impressed with her knowledge of the law and her ability to work under the most stressful of situations. Working with many different people on both the defense and opposing sides to our parties did not phase Denise and her countenance showed just how respectful she is. Not only is her knowledge of the law unparalleled, her ability to see me and others as people and not just another paycheck, was truly heartwarming and made me feel safe in her hands during an otherwise very difficult part of my life.

I'm involved in a really weird prolonged case and David has produced such incredible paperwork/briefings/etc. I have 3 degrees and the level of professionalism, integrity, and legal expertise that David demonstrates is far above anything I have ever seen in my 57 years. I have worked with lawyers in the past (and no slight to them) but nothing compares to the level of expertise David brings to the table. David represented me in a complex appraiser liability and standard of care case, that included claims of violation of the Consumer Protection Act and Securities Fraud brought by unscrupulous predatory lawyers that did little to no discovery because they thought they had a lead pipe cinch of a case. Their exorbitant demands to settle the case forced me to go to a 2-week trial. David and his team were absolutely brilliant and made it clear to the jury that not only was I not responsible for the investors loss, in fact my client, a come to find out shoddy hard money lender who went to Federal prison, was 70% at fault, and the investors that brought the suit against me were 30% at fault for causing their own loss. The other side accused me of "mailing in" my appraisal. It was proven at trial that given the information I had and more importantly didn't have, my value of the property was spot on. They mailed in their litigation of this case and had they done their due diligence they would have learned about a hidden easement that was the primary cause of the loss. David's incredibly skilled defense and education of the jury, in spite of the other side's clever efforts to obfuscate the truth was a true masterpiece. David's efforts saved me millions of dollars, and was very very effective.

I've worked with Alan on corporate structure issues, venture capital deals, public offerings, M&A and all manner of corporate governance issues. Alan has a rare combination of practical business common sense and an ultra-technical understanding of the law. You actually get answers with Alan rather than hedging. He has counseled me through some very tough issues, and he just never gets flustered (or stumped). He also has an uncanny ability to negotiate successful outcomes in the toughest of situations without resorting to tactics that can put key relationships at risk. He’s truly one of the best negotiators I’ve ever seen (lawyers and non-lawyers included). Pound for pound, Alan is the best corporate attorney you will find–on either coast. You get the benefit of a skill-set usually only found (and even then rarely) with gray-haired uber-partners (that in truth typically wouldn't do much work on your deal anyway) without the stratospheric billing rate and with real attention to your deal. In the end, Alan is the corporate attorney I would hire if it was my personal company and my own hard-earned cash on the line.

I've worked on financings, acquisitions and IPOs with attorneys at Skadden Arps, Cooley Godward and Wilson Sonsini but Alan is the best. He is extremely thorough, intelligent, judicious, ethical, knowledgeable and pragmatic. His bills are reasonable. His negotiating skills are formidable, without ever crossing the line into sumo puffery. Unusual for someone with Alan's experience, he is also sympathetic to all the difficulties faced by entrepreneurs at startups. In our particular case, Alan sorted through innumerable irregularities that had piled up in our corporate records after several years of bootstrap operations. When we were struggling to meet new investors, Alan called on his partners across the West Coast to arrange over a dozen meetings for us. Alan also provides lots of advice on board management and corporate governance which has been both wise and savvy. Alan is teamed with a paralegal who will be a godsend for you if you end up working with Orrick; her name is Ellen Welichko. She knows everything, never misses anything; she is just terrifyingly good, too.

We definitely recommend Mr. Daryl Campbell. He assisted us by helping us comprehend a financial document that we had signed. He was prompt in contacting us at the agreed upon time and counseled with us for almost forty-five minutes interpreting the language of the document, making sure that we understood our financial position, the legal implications, and informed us of our options and limitations concerning the signed agreement. I was referred to Bill from my Microsoft buddies back in the 90's because he supposedly defended Bill Gates II. I used him for a speeding ticket and negligent driving. He is awesome, but since he is now part of the largest law firm in the state and his focus is now on intellectual property it is fiscally prohibitive for me to hire him for a lowly speeding ticket because his rates have more than doubled. His invoice stated "$... to fight the evil forces of speeding." ;) I am now knowledgeable enough to fight my own traffic infractions pro se.
