We want to share the good experience we had with Barden & Barden. We are an elderly couple who never had to deal with anything like this before. We felt overwhelmed by this event because it seemed so complicated. The collision caused by another driver moving at high speed and failing to yield, left us both quite seriously injured and hospitalized thousands of miles from home in a community we didn’t know. On top of that we had totaled the rental car we were driving. Shortly after the event, we contacted Barden & Barden in our home town. They did so much right away to put our minds at rest and assure us they would handle all the details of compensation for medical and rehabilitation expenses, automobile damage, and communications with the many entities involved, especially insurance companies. For example, right away they gathered complete information from the local sheriff attending the collision and the doctors caring for us. They obviously took care to see that insurance covered our bills as we never were billed ourselves. While they worked on our case, they kept us up to date on its progress. The firm’s attorneys and their assistants maintained a sympathetic and business-like attitude throughout the time they helped us. It was obvious in our dealings with them that they really knew what they were doing. At the end, they engineered a settlement that covered all our expenses as well as compensating us for what we had gone through.

Needed help from an attorney to deal with a Contractor who was ignoring my requests to deal with damage caused by their work on my home. I hired Winston earlier this year as my attorney in my Family Law case, specifically my divorce. Wish that we would have found Lisa to start...would have saved us a bunch of money....she came in on a two year old litigation...was a total mess...even final judegment had been entered by the Court....In a matter of a few weeks she was able to have the judgement overturned..negotiated the payment requested down to one-third of asking amount. Totally cleared up my Son's credit report in the process..have nothing but wonderful things to say about Lisa...Total Professional...we dealt with this case totally be e-mail...which is very convenient for both parties...she was very fair in her charges for the e-mail service...I would not hesitate to use Lisa's services again. Hi my name is Steve and I made a serious mistake and chose to drink and drive.
I first met Dallas, I was in terrible emotion shape but Dallas was so professional and actually cared about my well being that I was completely blown away.
He made me feel like I was NOT a loser and that I was in good hands and that he could help me fix the mistake I had made.
Yes I was reluctant to believe but. Dallas saved my Drivers License.
I can not even begin so say what an impact this did for me!
I was able to keep my Job and continue to drive.
Dallas saved me on the State part of a Dui and then he introduced me to one of the finest ladies I have ever met for the civil part of the incident .
This lady's name is Jennifer Fassbender. Jennifer also treated me with complete professionalism and respect. Her approach made me feel like she truly cared. I did commit a very serious violation to the great people of Spokane and the State of Washington but she helped me get through this tragedy with hope and a better understanding of what I had done.
The court system made me jump through a lot of hoops that are law I.E. The blower thing in the car and stuff like but she professionally protected me.
Next because of this Dui stuff my wife said she wanted a divorce. I do not agree with my wife's decision but Jennifer suggested Julia Pelk she was equally awesome.
Julia and her associate were so again professional and I did not even have to appear in court. Thay handled everything.

When I recieved my DUI charge the first person I contacted was Dallas Cooney and because of the severity of my charge (2nd strike) Dallas took the case personally. Boy was it worth it to have Dallas and his team on the case. I was facing certain jail time and years of restrictions if not a complete loss of driving priviledges. It was very serious but Dallas managed to take what looked like an open and shut DUI case for the prosecution and have my ticket reduced to a Reckless Driving Charge with substantially less consequences as my DUI charge would have been. Needless to say the entire experience has "scared me straight" and I would never drink and drive again if drink at all! Dallas was always straight with me and kept the worst possible scenerio at the forefront of my mind and when I recieved a letter from the Department of Licensing that all charges had been dropped against me I just couldn't believe my good fortune. Now was the next test of the criminal charges. Somehow Dallas was able to come to an understanding with the prosecutor and my charge was reduced to a reckless driving ticket which itself had some pretty stiff penalties but nothing compared to the original charge. It felt like a miracle. In fact it was. Dallas was great to work with and very personable. Though he kept me abreast of the severity of the charges and possible consequences he always seemed to inspire confidence regardless of the outcome. I just felt the entire time that I had the best possible person in my court. The fact is, even if the outcome was not as favorable as it ended up being for me, I couldn't think of another attourney I would have represent me. Just an amazing experience all the way around and the result being a reduced charge and a changed man all at the same time. Thank you Dallas.

Elizabeth made the embarrassing process of bankruptcy dignified, quick and thorough. This was a light at the end of a dark tunnel after receiving a terminal cancer diagnosis for my husband 2014, and subsequent $200,000 of medical debt for treatments. Today he is still fighting the cancer, but 5 years after the bankruptcy, we pretty much have our financial life back to order. I injured both of my arms right and left. Falling downstairs doing in home care. On the day of my mediation halfway through, my attorney admitted, he got me confused with another lady in Harrison Idaho, my last name is Harrison. As I wanted to hold out , while the mediator joked and made light of work injuries, I am right handed.My right arm doesn't work correctly, I did a lot of work in my church. I am a homemaker. I take a lot of pride in my home being a place of comfort and inviting to people, I used to bake and feed people, and so the job that I had for wages, wasn't my main job, even though I didn't bring home a salary for it. My" job" was taking care of my home and my church and my husband and serving god with my two hands. The thing I did to make money injured me, because the lady I was working for didn't let me know that her staircase ,in the spring would move when the basement flooded. It moved.I fell, I hurt my right elbow and my left wrist, and now all the things I used to do to serve God and others I cannot do any longer. None of this meant anything to my attorney at the mediation. As I kept holding out because I didn't know how I would end up the rest of my life with these 2 injuries he kept telling me dead. There was gonna be so security disability. There was gonna be a medical fund. And so this was just the first part of the mediation for my injury. I even thought I would just go to court because I thought my case was so different than so many other people At that point, my attorney didn't want to go to court. It was obvious He was not wanting to go to court to represent me, who I am. He told me scary things about, if the judge was in a bad mood, I would lose everything. He, and I am ashamed to say, my husband, with pressure from the "mediator " talked me onto taking an offer, which I knew, would not compensate me for paying people to do for me, what I had always done for myself. Gardening, lawn care, house work, cleaning the church, changing my own oil, recently I paid Ford $600.00 for changing plugs and oil in my truck. This I used to do at a fraction of the cost. But none of this was considered, I was a part time worker to them all. After that nightmare, the medical portion was to be settled, that's when I found out, I didn't have enough "points" for SSI disability, so any leverage from SSI to keep SIF accountable did not exist. My Attorney told me the day of mediation , SSI would cause pressure for SIF to cover me medically...NOT. He was incorrect and when I , out of concer, asked him if he was doing okay, he had made a few errors in my doctors name and other odd statements which didn't pertain to me, he accused me of questioning his integrity and told me I could get a different Attorney. By then I was hurting, depressed and totally vulnerable and my attorney, the one person who supposedly knows the ins and outs of the system, chewed me out and threatened me that I could "go it alone" if I thought I could do better. I couldn't make any decisions, I was so down. I didn't think the Attorney was going to take part of the medical bank. I thought he got paid for working the entire case from my mediation, so I didn't think I could pay up front for another attorney, just another thing I misunderstood when my attorney told me the medical is put in the bank, in my name and I had comple control over it. I was told it is a new way SIF and all other workers comp. In Idaho are now doing things, rather than keep a claim open for treatment. I am not pleased at all. My best intrest was not even considered. All because in the beginning my Attorney didn't ever find out and set in his mind, who I am.

I have never had a lawyer before of this caliber. I'm a disabled Veteran and had run into so many road blocks. I was referred by another attorney who didn't handle Veterans Disability. I'm Canadian. I was in Seattle last June. I had a beer too many. I was charged with DUI. At my age and being a foreign national I was in trouble. I first spoke with Mr. Phillipson's law partner. She's amazing. Ms. Lundin assured me the process would be handled by herself and Mr. Phillipson.
I had a very good case. I was over the limit but registered .085. The law process is enormous. Do not proceed without calling this law firm. The amount of money I spent was very small compared to the imsurance implications alone.
We did not go to trial. A good lawyer is your best friend in any legal proceeding. I couldn't have been more pleased with the end result. I did not lose my licence. Mr Phillipson is very well respected within the WA legal community. I made two very brief trips back to Seattle and the matter was dealt with.
When you've been criminally charged in WA state, call Mr Phillipson. It will be the best phone call you will ever make.
I've learned much from this experience. Firstly, don't drink and drive. Secondly, pay to have a legal team take care of the way your feeling right now. You've made a mistake otherwise you wouldn't be reading this. Phillipson & Lundin gave me my life back.

Imagine my shock after a one small accident landed me in the midst of a substantial lawsuit. I had no experience with anything of the kind when I was served with papers.
