Eric is one of the best attorneys in California as far as IP Law is concerned. Eric is very thorough in his job and makes sure not to miss out any details in filling a patent. He makes sure every single word used in filling is legally correct. I had the toughest patent to file in a competitive sector but Eric got us through and patent was finally issued. The funny thing is that I found Joe through Avvo, so it's only fitting that I come full circle to write Joe a review here. I was hesitant when I first contacted Joe, but he made a very good impression on me from the very beginning. My initial thoughts were that he was very responsive and timely to my inquiries. I've worked with Avi Muhtar for a few months now. As someone who has talked to a large amount of personal injury attorneys and has gone through a number of firms - I can say with confidence that Avi is in league of his own. Truly a Class Act. And anyone who knows me knows it's extremely rare that l'd say this about anyone.
I am truly impressed by how quickly he responds to emails, texts and calls. He is extremely professional and it's truly refreshing to see - especially in the personal injury field.
It's really hard to find good personal injury attorneys - let alone great ones. I was literally going from one attorney to another. I couldn't find one who actually cared about me and my health. It seemed these attorneys cared more about self-interests than anything else. I also wanted an ethical and honest attorney.
Avi is honest, transparent and trustworthy.
I'm not only impressed by Avi's incredible knowledge and the amount of research he does when necessary - I'm also impressed by both his mental and emotional intelligence.
Empathy in particular is pertinent when you're working with a Pl attorney and I kept coming across one attorney after another that simply lacked EQ.

Michael Eyre did an outstanding job of representing me this summer in an ADA case regarding my family’s property in Southern California. His extensive experience in these types of cases made things run smoothly and gave me a lot of peace of mind.

Here is our story: We were in one hot-real-estate-mess, with the other party of two (2) attorneys trying to hood-wink us for a lot. Two against one, from a big Irvine firm.

As a small business owner, I've put off needing an attorney for as long as possible. I was referred to Matt by another business owner and I couldn't be happier with the work he did for me. It is difficult to face that you need to go into bankruptcy. I retained Attorney Cathy Moran. She was very professional and non-judgemental about my situation -- I was already beating up myself. Steve Gerrish was exactly the guy I needed when I negotiated my employment contract at the sale of my company. He had a framework of reasonable and customary terms, but he was completely open to my idiosyncratic preferences. I may have imagined it, but I felt that he absolutely understood what I wanted to accomplish, and (conversely) what I did not care about at all.

Dana Urick was my divorce attorney for six years. I know that this is an unusually long time, but that is what happens with a complicated divorce. Dana was wonderful to work with. She was caring, smart, dedicated, and honest. She was also very articulate and driven to get a divorce agreement that would suit my children and me. At the time of my separation, I was a stay at home mom and had stopped working for seven years. Dana encouraged me to go back to school and get a master's degree, which I am grateful for. Hanlen Chang is very knowledgeable and was able to help me understand the laws and context relevant to my concerns and suspicions of financial elder abuse of a family member. I did not realize that local county laws and protocols in California can differ with regard to elder law issues. Hanlen guided me in being an advocate for my family, suggesting appropriate language for letters and focusing on the relevant information, while showing me why some points I was making were not really relevant. Hanlen helped my husband and I set up a living trust and he was so easy to work with. Very professional, very knowledgeable and responds in a very timely manner. He even provided a handy list of what sort of assets would need to be transferred to the trust and how to go about it.
Hanlen also helped provide guidance on some more complicated issues with our extended family related to estate and financial planning. He has a pretty good awareness of tax planning as well so he can help bring attention to potential situations that may arise down the road based on decisions that are made today. Super helpful to get a holistic view of how to approach situations that we were in and be able to make better informed decisions.
He occasionally meets with clients in Palo Alto which has been really great for us since we're based in the South Bay.

Probably one of the best attorneys I have ever worked with. He really is a godsend.
Originally, I had an older lawyer, and he was not doing a good job at all. Three years in court with no results. I fired him and Hired Richard.
In less than a year Richard got the 4 unit apartment building transferred into my name that my mother had left me in her will. He really took it to the opposing council at trial. I was referred to Richard by my mother’s previous attorney. When I called him, I needed a legal guardian for my elderly mother to make sure another family member was not pressuring her to do anything against her will. She needed objective legal advice and Richard provided her with that.

Richard was able to work with my brother and I during a conservatorship proceeding regarding my mother. We were at conflict with her second husband. Richard was able to deal with my brother and I as we got emotional during the negotiations before we went to court. He helped us come to an agreement that was agreed to by both parties before the courts were involved. Richard also really seemed to be cognizant of the cost and in my opinion tried to keep it as low as he could for us. This was appreciated.

There are reasons that high profile attorneys get to where they are. Eric Dubin returned my email in less than 24 hours. After a short (free consultation), he was immediately honest in saying it wasn't his area of expertise. But he supported me, and even sent words of encouragement, such as "hang in there." PI attorneys get a bad rap from time to time, but there are people like Eric who could (given his well documented trial skills) win probably any case. But he didn't try to be everything to everybody. He was kind, honest, and most of all replied. In fact of all of the attorneys I consulted the one thing that sets these premier attorneys apart is that they actually do call you back. After finding out that a black mold case is not his strongest suit, he never the less was kind, encouraging, and took time to respond to me. By contrast one other supposedly preeminent black mold attorneys who was referred by another attorney (who even made a call on my behalf to get the specific name of the attorney to call, never returned a phone call, nor an email, nor did I ever get an email after filling out one of those utterly annoying "chat now" messages. I've followed Eric's career, and he doesn't talk the talk. He's brilliant, he cares about people, and he is responsive. I hope that I never need an attorney in the areas where he truly excels, but I would go back to him in a moment, and I'd refer him to anyone injured, or unjustly treated.
