Mike has a desire to be successful in his services and representing myself. This was first demonstrated to me when Mike did his research on me to determine if I was being honest with him in the beginning. When he was certain that he was given all the correct facts, he took on the case. I really appreciated this, because when he accepted my case, he was committed to it and to me. Mike would review every aspect with me and explain the alternatives including the potential cost impacts with the various options before proceeding. Mike dealt professionally with everything that needed to be addressed. He discussed the issues with me and listened to what I had to say without making any pre-judgments. Mike would summarize the issues well and keep to the facts even though the other party attempted to “rabbit trail” at every opportunity. My “after-divorce” problems continued for years as the other party would continually challenge the final order. Even in this, Mike dealt professionally and worked to keep my interests protected. Mike is a professional individual that is first looking for a mutual agreement in a divorce but when a mutual agreement is not obtainable, he worked aggressively for my interests.

I had an ugly divorce and (1) year after the judgment was final…it got worse. I selected Mike to replace my original attorney. What a great decision! Mike stepped in and helped us through the unresolved issues and battles. He provided great legal counsel and shared wisdom that resulted in solving problems others had been unable to conclude. Since the divorce, I have worked with Mike on a couple of business matters, with the same result. Ok.... I’m from Las Vegas and Reno and thought it would be good to invest in a piece of property in Hamtramck. Going into the purchase paperwork got delayed by months (very frustrating). I found Parakh Law online, the price structure for services was perfect and so were the results! I closed the deal. Two years later I wanted to sell it, my plans changed and I just wanted out. Again Parakh Law was there with great rates to look the contract over. But the deal fell through and I was stuck in limbo for a month. I contacted Kathleen’s office and within and hour I was out of the dead deal so I could pursue a new one.

I have used Parakh for two cases, first on Jun 2017 and second in Sep 2017. I did not get a chance to put review after the first service, but felt obliged to put a review after the second excellent service. I have talked with Kathleen, but mainly dealt with Mike Pierce. They provided excellent service in both cases.
1) Jun 2017: Tenant did not pay for 1.5month and did not respond to my calls. Parakh law helped to file a case with city and got a court date. The tenant called me and made plans and deposited payments accordingly to catch up with payment
2) Sep 2017: I paid a concrete contractor 1/2 deposit for driveway concrete work and they kept delaying the work. Parak Law send appropriately drafted letter to pressure them and followed up with 2 calls and the contractor agreed to refund a percentage of the deposit. I hired a different contractor to complete the job

I have hired Corey Silverstein a few different times on different matters (business formation, trademark, contract law, collections, etc) and I have also referred him to a number of my business contacts when they needed legal advice.
In every single engagement Silverstein has represented me or my clients properly. He has provided reasonable expectations, laid out clear courses of action, followed up continually and seen the entire matter to its final resolution without constant supervision. That's very rare.
What is more rare (and the reason why I am reviewing him frankly) is that Corey Silverstein acts like a normal person. I graduated from law school myself and then chose a very different career path because the idea of surrounding myself with "most lawyers" every day was nauseating.
With Silverstein I'm not on the clock if I just ask him what time it is... He doesn't try to nickel and dime me on small matters and his goal seems to actually be helping my business prosper so that he has a healthy long term client -- rather than the short term thinking much of the legal profession is unfortunately known for these days.

Years ago, as part of my divorce I granted my ex-wife the house that we bought together while married and she assumed responsibility for it. At some point she started paying her mortgage late and that eventually found its way to my credit report (some company called PHH). Since it had nothing to do with me, I disputed the account and submitted my divorce decree that clearly shows she assumed responsibility and I no longer have any interest in the house etc. the dispute was denied and come back verified. Frustrating since I had nothing to do with it but at the time I assumed I was stuck with it because in the eyes of creditors I was still on the hook for the debt (the house wasn’t refinanced out of my name at the time). There are several 180 days late and they are the only baddies left on my report. All this brought down my credit score to 522. I had an issue with GoDaddy not releasing a domain name I owned in an old account. I tried for 2 years to resolve the issue with them to no avail. Some lawyers would not take my case since it was too small an issue. John and his team were happy to help, and with a single letter and the right contact he was able to have them respond immediately. My job was trying to withhold my check saying I was overpaid 3 days before Christmas. I told them to hold off until I can review all the information myself and agree to this matter. We hired Attorney Martin on a juvenile court case and she got our son justice. The court botched the plea under advisement deal when it switched the case to another courtroom. When Attorney Martin discovered this glitch she advised us, went into action, ordered the transcripts, gathered all court documents, then she scheduled a hearing before a judge and presto!! The plea deal was back and our son completed his probation and now has a clean record thanks to her. We were never focused on the money to retain her services, just the outcome and what Attorney Martin could deliver and she made good. But, she also worked with us on payments and I really appreciated that. We're all very relieved and pleased and if you're ever in a legal jam she's the one you should want by your side in court. She's worth every Benjamin and Hamilton invested.

Alexandra worked tirelessly once my father became terminal with cancer. He left behind a 2 year old son that we needed help with - figuring out all of the logistics and such. Pete was extremely helpful in preparing all the paperwork we needed. We asked him to create a trust in the event that my husband and I died at the same time as we have an infant daughter. I would highly recommend this law firm for family/custody disputes. I dealt with not only a child custody dispute, but then a custody violation with multiple twists of the newly enacted child custody agreement and in both instances Dan was amazing. When people say they have a great lawyer and, someone they can recommend, there is a natural inclination to still feel uneasy. What do you mean by a "great lawyer" they ask me. Why do you recommend him? In short: Scott F. Wyatt represents something more than just your run-of-the-mill attorney. A man who will not only treat you like family, but is passionate about doing so!
When I first met Scott F. Wyatt the attributes that struck me immediately were: His attentive nature, calm disposition and "one of the good ole boys" attitude. I never felt rushed or worried when we were sitting in the courthouse before trial. In fact, after we went over how we were going to approach the trial, we kicked back and talked fishing, sports, music (dude has some great taste) and a little philosophy. This made my very stressful situation seem like dust in the breeze at times.
Now, he's where his true talent comes into play. I was in quite a bit of trouble. I had a potential DUI, which, in my opinion, was wrongly accused. I felt like there was nothing I could do, though. That is, until Scott Wyatt looked over my case.
He made sure we covered EVERY avenue, EVERY nook and cranny. By the time we were done he had amassed for me a case that was not only expertly constructed, but also passionately. This is because Scott Wyatt doesn't do this just for the money, he has STRONG CONVICTIONS towards helping his client and an abusive system that manipulates the weak. Trust me when I say that if you are the underdog, he's the best man in the business to even those odds.
As mentioned previously, I was so intimidated, I was so frustrated. He raised my spirits and my confidence, but he never promised me something he could not do. He reminded me, "Look Josh, we got a strong case, but there's a chance we don't come out of this without a black eye.", but when I made my decision to take this to trial, he was behind me 100%.
To make a long story short, we pressed on, it was a battle of attrition. He showed me how to present myself to the judge, told me to get recommendations from work, my union, family, friends, community service. Then first of many settlements approached...
A year probation, fines and a lowered charge. However, it would've stayed on my record and I wasn't going to stand for that. When I showed my desire to fight, I could have sworn I saw the fangs of a lion in his smile. So, we declined and pressed for trial.
After a few more lack luster settlements, the day before trial, I got a phone call. They wanted to settle... I went to court and the results were in: Expired tabs, what I was ORIGINALLY pulled over for. I couldn't believe it, but Scott could.
After the trial we kicked back at my house by the pool, had a barbecue and smoked some well deserved cigarettes. To me, Scott is MUCH MORE than just your run-of-the-mill paper work lawyer. He's a true diamond in the ruff. There is no better man in Michigan for your legal troubles. He's passionate, strong, believes in his ability to succeed and will make you feel like family.
So, when I say I have lawyer for you, I mean much, much more than that. I have not only a lawyer for you but someone who, after my experience with him, I can call on as a friend.
