Roy has been my attorney for almost ten years now. That’s when I started my business and connected with attorney Hegard. By far the best business decision I could of made. As nerve racking as it can be starting a business Roy stated the pro’s and con’s in a calming manner with such expertise. I never felt rushed or forced out of are meetings because there was another appointment waiting. Like most attorneys give you an hour time slot but cut you short 15mins because next appointment? Not with Roy, if he offers you the time you will get all that time. He will even answer the phone if you call, and if you have to leave a message he will call you back! Roy treats you like family and he had never let me down once! When I was looking to purchase some real estate Roy was quick to get the ball rolling, timing was top notch, and the guy overall just knows how to do his job. Our landlords were trying to bill us for more than $1000 in repairs for damage we didn't do. Jason took our case, did some research, and got them to agree to drop it without us paying another penny! He was amazing in person, on the phone, thru email just all around easy to work with and excellent availability. While it is unfortunate that I needed to engage counsel for an action against one of the major brokerage and investment banking firms, I am very fortunate to have been introduced to Sean Sweeney of Halling & Cayo. Simply stated, Sean is an outstanding attorney!
Sean is smart, professional, methodical and tenacious, which is precisely what I need given the complexities of the case and who opposing counsel is. Additionally, unlike many litigators who come off as being aggressive and combative, Sean is soft spoken, reasonable and tempered. I do not doubt that he can flip the switch when and if he needs to, but his demeanor seems to be that of a deal maker with one eye towards settlement and the other towards trial, as opposed to others who might only want to fight, sometimes at the expense of their clients. Recently hired Sean to review a business contract. We were so impressed with how thorough Sean was. When he met with us to go over the contract, it was obvious he has some mad skills. I would have thought he spent a week studying the contract for how well he knew in it cover to cover. He didn't miss a beat! We later needed his assistance to amend parts of the contract, which he took care of that day, although he didn't think he would get to it until the next business day. His amendments were dead on with what we needed. We are so impressed with his knowledge and the kind & humble, yet confident way he handles himself. When I became a third party in a very contentious law suit involving multiple individuals, easements, and claims of fraud, I was overwhelmed and often felt that I was being viewed as the easy solution to a problem I did not cause. Although I had retained another attorney, it soon became apparent that I needed an attorney who was well versed in real estate law and was a skilled litigator. After much research and with the help of another attorney, I found and retained Teresa.
From the onset, she proved herself to be a compassionate, knowledgeable, thorough, and skillful attorney. She was tenacious in her search for documents ( my title insurance policy, old deeds, surveys) which ultimately resulted in a favorable outcome for me.
This case was complicated and required expertise in not only real estate laws, but also required the ability to negotiate with multiple attorneys on multiple issues. Needless to say, Teresa was able to successfully navigate through all the aspects of this case. What was impressive was her ability to keep me informed of all the events and explaining the rationale behind the legal issues. Throughout this all, she was patient and kind to me when my emotions got the best of me.

My wife quit her job and her employer withheld her final paycheck, requesting that she come into sign paperwork she was not legally obligated to before handing over the check and then lying to the Department of Workforce Development and claiming she had kept keys.
We contacted Scott and he was able to litigate our case effectively, reaching a settlement for twice what was owed and then successfully motioning for legal fees to be paid by my wife's former employer. Throughout the process, he was professional and communicative.

I was not paid by my employer, and thought I was never going to get paid for work I did. Looked around for employment law attorneys and Scott Luzi took my case. He was able to get the wages paid to me that I deserved with an additional penalty for refusing to pay me initially.

I had a legal sitution that festered for over five years. Complicating the matter was that I received a judgement in another state and my opponent sought to evade payment in Wisconsin. This mattered little to Mr. Thill. He quickly registered our judgement in Wisconsin and began proceedings. What impressed me the most was that Mr. Thill kept at it no matter what my opponent attempted, tried, or said. I had recently had an unfortunate matter involving property and family. Sadly the situation could not be resloved without the need for legal intervention.
