Mr. Sylvester handled my criminal case and was able to get all charges dismissed. I was on my way to spring break and got pulled over and arrested. The injury case for my wife and I has just reached the two year mark. All we have asked for is communication. We fully understand these things can take years.
Our first attorney was not one to communicate. We had to email or call for updates. We requested a new attorney, and after multiple requests, they finally agreed.
With our new attorney, we again asked for communication. Call us every 30 days or so, even if it is to say there is no change. Unfortunately, we were put on a one-way street with this attorney as well.
On 10/14/24, we sent an email since the two year mark for a lawsuit had to be filled on or before 10/21/24. On 10/16/24, we received an email from our attorneys assistant with the complaint filing to review before they submitted it. In our view, this seemed to be cutting it pretty close. What if we had not checked in and sent the reminder on 10/14/24 about the filing date?
As a side note, I have been unable to work now due to the spinal injuries sustained in the accident. I emailed our attorney about assistance with filing for SSDI, and again, there was no answer. Called their 800 number and advised that we had an open injury case but needed help with SSDI. They turned us down as I am not 49 years old or older. Currently, I am 48 and turn 49 in March 2025, 5 months away.
This long, drawn-out review comes down to one word, communication, and the lack of it.

Sounding promising finding a professional like Hal Walker to take on my traffic ticket cases but you will be very very lucky if he returns any of your emails or phone calls at all.... I had to hire another attorney because of his complete disappearce in all communications. Called his office for two weeks straight everyday no answer no returned calls, no returned emails nothing.... very disappointed.

Joe helped with the probate that my mother was named as personal representative. The process was fairly long and complicated and he was helpful and patient with us throughout. He also fought for her a couple of times when things got a little tough, once to get access to the safe deposit box where thewill was located. Every question we had was answered satisfactorily. This attorney is very unprofessional in my opinion. He made a probate/estate case drag on for 4 years. It cause alot of grief in my family. He slithered in while we were using Greene and Phillips to work a wrongful death case. They referred him, and he originally charged $10,000 to work the estate side of the case. He is very unprofessional as he admitted that he made mistakes in the case, and that's why it took so long, also his paralegal Angel was very rude and short with me. If you have stumbled upon this review because you have received that letter from the Alabama Board of Nursing go ahead and stop here and submit your name and number for a consultation. If you have ever been exhausted and frustrated feeling like being a nurse could be a thankless existence, I’m sure it’s no comparison to the weight of receiving that letter. This was how I felt. I wanted to walk. I didn’t care to fight because I had already been defeated. I found Mr. Kreps on YouTube in the middle of the night while I was hopelessly scrolling for outcomes and judgements when nurses face the Board. It gets dark reading those stories. His story wasn’t. You learn his mother went back to school later in life to become a nurse and he has seen what we do for that license.
Peggy called me a few hours later when they opened and immediately took action. I got step by step instructions and a general idea of what to expect. If I had questions or calls from the board, Peggy immediately responded and guided me on what to do. I don’t intend for this to sound gimmicky but if you think you can’t afford representation you can’t afford NOT to. You may think that the what you can offer them on a payment plan is laughable but I promise you that you’ll be surprised. We have all heard the horror stories and I was filled with debilitating dread knowing that the allegations on this grand scale was unlike any fight I’ve ever had to face. When it involves DEA and accusations of fraud you tend to replay this nightmare and your uncertain future over and over in your head. I got the call today that Mr. Kreps reached full settlement with the board and I do not have to appear or carry this another day of my life. STOP googling. STOP looking for statistics. STOP considering bargaining with the investigators that are calling. Get on the phone and under the guidance of this law office. They’re making such a difference in the nursing world.

Mr. Sears cared about my child’s need. Deafness with a child using listening and spoken language is a low-incidence disability that school systems are often unfamiliar with. He was willing to learn about the needs specific to my child and backed our family to ensure my child’s needs were met. First and foremost I want to just let everyone know that this man/ lawyer is a gift from God and I’m not just saying that he truly is. I had so much going on at one point in my life I had cases everywhere and he took on my case where I was facing time behind bars and let me tell you I could always get in touch with him it was never a phone call that he did not pick up and he is not a lawyer that once he’s paid he ignores you, he’s sharp, smart has a good working relationship with prosecutors. I could go on and on about what an outstanding law firm this is and they never make you feel like you’re a bad person , even if you are guilty of what you’ve been charged. Randy always sees the bright side of things if you’re going through a case that’s tough Ferguson and Ferguson is the law firm to choose. I would recommend Ferguson and Ferguson 1000% especially if you’ve been charged with a crime that could get you a felony and time behind bars . They do exactly what you ask and I was looking at a class A or B felony and Randy got it reduced to a misdemeanor, no jail time and unsupervised probation. You can’t really name that many lawyers that can do that , but if you want a great outcome then it’s Ferguson and Ferguson who you want to go with. I don’t usually do reviews but Randy did such a phenomenal job in my case I have to recommend them. Randy is smart , honest and hard-working and he’s going to do the best job for you so make sure you choose them if you’re going through a case that could affect your life because these lawyers truly care about what happens with your life.
