I had a situation with Southern Eye Group in Bay Minette, Alabama where they gave me the wrong prescription and I spent close to $400 getting new lenses, getting a new exam (to determine my real prescription) and the trouble of getting more glasses yet again. I called and called and they flat-out told me they were not reimbursing me and stopped taking my calls. Clearly, a lawyer is too expensive to use for just being owed $400, but Mr. Mitchell worked w/ me anyway.
Before I get into his goodness, I’d like to say that I am melo-dramatic over my principles. I was fully committed to spending money I didn’t have for a lawyer over this nonsense after the way this business treated me. Many lawyers were not available when the paralegals heard my story (due to the lower-tiered financial outcome for the lawyer in question is my guess.) Many are so good (I guess) that they were always in meetings. Mr. Mitchell was available the first time I called and talked directly to me. I promised him no money up front or anything. He genuinely wanted to hear my story and just started advising me right then and there.
He walked me through the entire small claims court process, told me what to do when they defaulted and told me to keep quiet for the next 42 days after I filed the default while the courts work on it so their team of lawyers can’t do anything about it once that grace period passed. Not only has he continued to show me the best routes to take in my specific situation, but he even had me continue to call him to let him know how things were going. I’ve been chomping at the bit to get these reviews out about this man. (I specifically asked him for this website so I could leave the review where HE wanted it.) I wanted to wait until everything was finalized so I could give a full account of all the kindness and advice this sweet man has shown me. I even brought him and his team donuts! He’s so freakin’ nice! I go OUT MY WAY to let folks know about him because his kindness is never-ending. He reminds me of the kindness Alabama USED to show to strangers. Salt-of-the-earth at its best.

Mr. McArdle is a very stand out and stand up motorcycle wreck attorney. When nobody else would even take a look at my case he did. His honesty and goodheartedness is what sets him above all others. He was straightforward about every aspect of my case. And those facts right there were everything I was looking for in an attorney as well as a law firm (honesty, sincerity, kindness and willingness). Mr.Derek helped me out alot not one but on two occasions, he fought my case where I first I had wanted to give up on it but he found a way. I called to speak with someone in regards to my tenant-landlord situation. The intake lady, listened and then said…well I’m gonna tell you upfront it’s $300-$400/hr to speak with an attorney. Okay? Chris Childers has been a Godsend for me in my times of need. I worked for the biggest tree company in the United States. After a on job injury in 2011, a friend recommended Tara Helms. Tara met with me and told me I had a good case and immediately got to work. She kept in touch with me when anything that came up in my case. I received e-mails, phone calls, and copies of all papers of my case. Tara kept assuring me that everything was going well with the case. I think Tara goes above and beyond for her clients, she really knows her stuff. After everything was done Tara got me about 50 x's what they had offered me. I highly recommend Tara Helms.

While working as a Social Worker I was both sexually assaulted, raped and physically beaten. Then and this is what a lot of people find more shocking then what actually happened to me physically is that I was sued by the County for being raped. If that is not nasty enough they hired private investigators to follow me around to and from my doctor appointments. It is hard very hard to get over being attacked the way that I was it does not help the healing process along to know that you are being followed again.
All by being assigned to case that did not meet our programs criteria. I had met with my supervisor three times that day explaining how this case did not meet our safety parameters for predominantly the children of the case I was given but time and time again she chose to keep her case numbers high and safety of those we were sworn to serve secondary at best.
Even after all of this you will have a hard time finding an attorney willing to one go to court secondly go to court against a municipality like a county. I went through several prior to meeting Tara that just weren't up to the challenge for one reason or another. I really had began to give up on finding an attorney that had the inner and outer fight needed for this kind of case. No attorney was going to make a lot of money of this case it was just a matter of finding someone that would do the right thing. If there is anyone better then Tara and more dedicated I have yet to meet them. She is a fighter, her record is amazing and most of all she really cares. Not quality's you find in many people these days. can't imagine recommending another attorney for anything.

Cameron won me a good settlement and he was always courteous, respectful, and professional. I have always had back problems & was hit while yielding on an interstate on ramp and was hit by a 16 yr old who was going about 30-40mph & texting about 3 weeks before the distracted driving law went into effect, and this dude never hit the brakes. I am almost certain he won my girlfriend at the time a good settlement as well. We separated before the case came to a disposition, but I referred him a few clients who he was straight up with about whether they had a legitimate case or not, and when they did, he took it and fought for them and as far as I know the case is still pending but I feel confident that they'll get good results with Cameron. He's very honest & upfront and you don't find that with many in his profession. He's almost brutally honest, but it's in his and the clients best interest if he thinks they don't have a case. The one I referred to him and he rejected ended up hiring another lawyer that kept him tied up where he couldn't work or do anything for 3 yrs, then lost the case. So, it took Cameron 5 min to essentially save him 3 years of waiting to find out Cameron was right. He thought Cameron just didn't want to take the case, but obviously in the end, Cameron was right and that's all that matters. His legal advice was 100% sound. I highly recommend him & he will be straight up with you & fight for you where it matters.
