I was referred to Matt several years ago to help file/navigate a civil claim. The case ended up being somewhat lengthy, no fault of Matt's, but he always made sure I knew exactly what was going on and why it was happening, every step of the way. Matt helped take the mystery out of the civil process and made sure I knew exactly where we were.
Matt is fair and ethical. He was quick to tell me what he felt was fair and right, even if it was not exactly what I wanted to hear. He is aggressive and firm, but only at appropriate levels, he is not one to be pushed around.
Due to the curveballs that life throws, Matt ended up representing me on two seperate civil suits within the past few years. Both cases were successfully settled, thanks to the knowledge, expertise and tenacity of Mr Millea.

My son was killed in a truck/car accident, leaving behind a large extended family. Abdul and his partner, came right out to our house and spoke to several of us and explained what he could do. It was an involved case but Abdul went out of his way to help. I was especially impressed by how he kept us updated. Most attorneys do not do that! Abdul is also a caring person. Unlike other bankruptcy attorneys- Dominic is an advocate who is compassionate and helps you step by step. Jocelyn- his paralegal - held my hand though all the paperwork - being that I am the least tech savy person ever! Faced with foreclosure on my home and home business- I was a wreck. Everyone other law group I'd spoken to were dismissive and offered to send paperwork but did not seem enthusiastic to help me at all. My partner and I were involved in a cycling accident (hit by a car) and suffered serious injuries. We were new to the area and trying to figure out which was the best lawyer seemed such a task while in recovery. A few lawyers were recommended to us, one of which was A.J.Mitchell. At first I called three local attorneys, two of which didn’t handle my type of case and left me at a lost as to which direction I should go. The third attorney I contacted didn’t handle my situation as well, but took the time to explain that I needed a Contract Law attorney and went further to recommend an attorney that specialized in case vs. auto dealerships. I was grateful for the lead and immediately contacted the Law Office of Choi & Fabian. Right from my initial conversation with Ms. Fabian I knew she was knowledgeable about automobile contracts and was very patient as I explained my dilemma. She asked to review the contracts and related documents. While waiting over the course of a weekend, I received a call from the dealership stating they have reconsidered our issue and were willing to unwind the deal. I spoke with Ms. Fabian on Monday and she agreed that a simple and quick resolution is favorable. I was not out for vengeance or a punitive damages award. I wanted to part company with this new car dealership and that is what I got. Note: In my state doesn’t have a 3-Day Right To Cancel Law, therefore disputes are difficult to resolve.

I had a bad fall out with my business partners. When I hired Adam I was on the verge of completely losing all my shares to my partners because they had the majority vote.
After our first meeting, I knew he was going to be my lawyer because he asked all the right questions. He explained what my rights were and the legality (or lack of) in what they were trying to do to me. He discussed a few approaches I could take and discussed all the pros and cons of every approach. He took all my advice into consideration when putting a game plan together. So of course I hired him.
I was ready for a very long battle because it got very personal between us. I knew nobody was willing to budge. To make a long story short, it is now 6 months later and the case is over. I sold my shares for almost 10% more than my asking price.
Adam is hands down the best lawyer I have ever worked with. He made me feel like I was his only client. He remembered every detail about my case every time we spoke. Not to mention he is very generous when counting his hours.

Steve represented me when I was involved in a car accident on the interstate last year. I suffered a closed head brain bleed. When I was involved in a wreck I was on the receiving end of the other person’s insurance company, and although that company was admitting fault, it was obviously in business to cut its losses. Met Lionel through Fasttrackdivorce.com. Pure chance selection from a list of attorneys practicing non-adversarial family law. Lionel is a very approachable individual with a deferential personality. The collaborative process we started did not succeed in the end, but Lionel, during the course of the two years it lasted, warned and coached me, first with a view to success, then, when it became apparent that collaboration was failing, he spelled out approaches to take in order to proceed with as much success as would be possible. He seems unique in that he took the initative to treat us all to snacks/lunch. He was always prepared, friendly, very knowledgeable of the law, and in no way shied away from voicing his opinion. This was my first ever car accident. I’d never gone through this experience before and boy, was I put through the ringer. I was hit by a semi truck changing lanes and pushed into another semi truck to my right. I was scared, confused and this was my very first car (which I loved, so I was very sad about it haha). The moment I spoke to the team and to Chris, I felt comforted. I felt supported and encouraged.
The other guy’s insurance company that we were trying to settle with fired and rehired at least 5 different case workers for my case alone. Now the company is going under. Chris. Was. Awesome. They put red tape, hoops and so many other things in front of him and he just led me through it every step of the way.
During this time (March 2019- December 2019) my car was classified as abandoned, had the wheel stollen off of it, the battery stolen off of it, and some of the items inside were also stolen while it sat on the lot. Someone from the tow yard decided to steal the title on the car. I moved states. I got married. I was taking classes. AND SO MANY OTHER THINGS.
So everything that could have happened during this time DID. And Chris was ALWAYS on top of it. He was so communicative and explained things to me in a way I could understand. I could ALWAYS get a hold of Chris at least within the same day and that’s something I really appreciate.
I’m very grateful and blessed by Chris and the team because of the way they “held my hand” from start to finish, even through the absolute WORST parts of it. Thank you Chris!!

My experience working with John Leader could not have been better! My case (including all of the Appeals) lasted over 7 years. Throughout the entire process (which was very emotional and difficult for me), John was knowledgeable, communicative, yet understanding and comforting in regards to what I was going through. Last but not least....we won our case (which had never been done before against this entity), and prevailed through 3 appeals! The judgement exceeded all of our expectations. I was a passenger in a vehicle that was struck by another vehicle that ran a stop sign. I was hurt badly. The company that was insuring the vehicle I was in was giving me the run around, while the insurance company of the at fault driver was completely ignoring me. I needed help fast. A friend of mine suggested Wattel and York, so with hesitation I sent off an email. Within literally 5 minutes I received a phone call. Much to my surprise it was the attorney’s office, and not just a paralegal or legal assistant. The ACTUAL attorney called me and discussed my case! I went in the following day for a consultation and they took my case. Throughout the whole process, all I can say is how wonderful this firm is. From their legal assistants and paralegals all the way up the lawyers themselves. They’re timely and accurate in their communication, whether it is over email or telephone. I could call and talk with the attorney anytime, and they would drop what they were currently doing to answer any questions I had. My fear and despondency disappeared with sweet release as I read the demand letter that Michael York sent to the insurance companies. It was extremely well written and was “matter of fact” in its demands. The insurance companies paid out in full all that was requested from the demand letter without hesitation. Thankfully, I've led a benign life. I learned when I was very young from my wise parents that life by itself is difficult enough without negatively encountering the law. I went to college with those who became attorneys, and have known attorneys through working for charities we had in common, but I never needed legal representation until I was nearly 65 years old.
It was a horrific traffic accident I was in nearly three years ago that first caused me to find and secure an attorney. There were several that urged me to contact the firm Wattell & York, one friend, having been in the same circumstance years ago, saying, “You don't stand a chance against the insurance companies. Its against their best interest and bottom line that they pay out claims of any size to anyone.”
My first conversation after registering was with Michael York, one of the general partners of the firm. He took his time explaining in layman's terms the course ahead, then invited me to contact him at any time I had a question, concern, or thought. He was terrific and put any trepidations I had to rest. And my confidence in he and his team only grew as my case unfolded. When complexities arose, and they always do, I was so impressed and appreciative of his long and detailed correspondence, clearly articulating options.
Throughout the complex and distended process of my case, I was always kept current as to the status of all developments as they transpired. Through much communication and correspondence, it was so evident to see that the general partners of the firm and all supportive staff act as a tightly coordinated force, always pressing forward with their client's best interest in mind.
