Jason Sandene assisted me with a car accident settlement recently. It was complex and could've easily gone to trial, but with his and his team's support, advice, and effectiveness, I received what I believe was a better settlement than had I done it on my own. Most expensive lawyer I've ever encountered. We provided a 5k retainer only for Randy to work 1.3 hours on a few phone calls. He charged us $3,258.86 to resolve nothing. On top of that his team gave me the run around for a week just to get a refund of the remaining retainer. If you are financially well off and have money coming out of your pockets, this is your lawyer, but if you're a middle-class person like me, over three grand for an hour's worth of work is insane.

Jake and his team were incredibly helpful after I was in a serious car accident caused by another driver. I had no idea what to expect and Jake walked me through everything with clear expectations. I feel Mr. Petis did all he could do for me. He got the case after I had received a settlement letter from my accident. He worked with my Dr. and the insurance company to try and get more of my expenses covered. We got a final offer that did not cover all my medical expenses. He worked with the Dr. and did not take any commission on the case to get my bills paid and give me a little for my time and discomfort. I appreciated that very much. I would definitely recommend him to others and use him again if the need would arise.

I truly believe hiring petis was the best decision. Petis understands the complexity of the situation and the personal struggles. The only critique I have is imforming the client more often about the cases time line and progress throughout the process. I feel hiring petis as your representation is a wise decision because he is an ethical and honest attorney. If I had to refer someone I would recommend petis. Michael was absolutely professional and accommodating throughout the entire process of my custody battle and court hearings. He explained everything clearly and walked me through every document and scenario that came my way. He gave me thorough input to help ME make decisions that were best suited for myself and my family. THIS was such an incredible concession that many attorneys will not offer. He was very agreeable with my budget and suggesting financial avenues to keep my case going because I had to see this through to the end. He was amenable to creating a financial plan with me so that I could finish my case. He was clear every step of the way in regards to costs including court fees, his hourly rate, the amount of time each thing would take, etc. He made sure every I was dotted and T was crossed, and every loophole was sealed. I’m rating based on my full years experience with Amelia. While things went great at first- Amelia was very cordial, professional, and empathetic, she saw where I was being mishandled by law enforcement and treated with contempt by them by way of discrimination. She understood that I was being challenged by not only my case, but the bias and prejudice of the courts. She was able to adapt to all of this and got me a great outcome a year ago.
Now I am at the end of the end of this litigious tunnel, and I’ve sought her counsel again to see it through, having filled all of the requirements on my end to do so in the timeframe allotted. I’m not an attorney nor do I portend to know all the ins and outs of the legal system. I don’t know if I need an attorney to represent me to close out my case, but with the system already having a historic prejudice against people like me, I felt it better safe than sorry to be prepared.
This is where it’s all gone sour. I’ve always presented money up front because I don’t expect free counsel. I’ve always just asked how much money Amelia would want to review the same case she represented me on this time last year. If not to represent me, I’d be just as happy to pay to receive her input on what I should expect and what I need to bring to close out my case. That could be as little as 15m-1hr.
My case is due for review in August. This month. I’ve been trying to reach her through her office for months intermittently/ passively, at most 1 email per month, until this past week where I wanted to give it one concerted effort to establish contact. I called the office twice, left two emails, and received the offices answering service once.
We had a 15m consultation scheduled which she no-call no-showed for. Her office assistant thought that was weird and said he left her a message, which also went unanswered. The emails- one to Amelia and one to her assistant, both went unanswered. The answering service said that they’d pass the message along that I was trying to reach her, which also went unanswered.
That was a waste of days of my time I could’ve used trying to find an attorney that was willing to see things through to the end. If Amelia had something against me personally and didn’t want to take the case- the professional thing to do would be to say as much so I’m not spinning wheels on something that isn’t going to budge. Even hearing as much from the paraprofessionals or office staff would have sufficed. My time is valuable, too. Ghosting isn’t a professional behavior. What a sad outcome to end this experience with.

Charlie did a great job trying to defend my case. Although the DUI did not get dropped, he did get my careless driving dropped. DA was not budging on jail time. Danny stepped in at my last courtdate, and was able to get me IHD. On that, I was thankful. I feel I did get my $'s worth from this team. They really do try to get the best deal possible. I would say I would use them again. However I will not need their services in the future. As I will NEVER LET THIS HAPPEN TO ME AGAIN. Colorado has become tougher through the years for DUI. The cost alone with everything involved is not worth admitting to having a few drinks and refusing Breathalyzer or Blood tests! If you are ever in this situation, call these guys. They are not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive. It is worth having this team of lawyers by your side through this process.

I contacted Russell R. Hatten after being involved in an automobile accident in which I was rear-ended by an uninsured motorist. Upon impact I was then pushed into the vehicle in front of me, causing me to rear-end that vehicle. Mr. Hatten was able to navigate the situation to make sure the party at fault for these two collisions took responsibility. Myself, having a chronic back issues, needed medical treatments to address my injuries resulting from the accident. However, the cost of these treatments exceeded the coverage provided by by uninsured motor policy. At least that is what I thought. Turns out the medical facility was charging me nearly four times what should have been charged. Mr. Hatten was able to negotiate the initial cost down to what is considered fair. I was then able to receive the treatment needed to begin my road to recovery. Without Mr. Russell Hatten's help I fear that I would have been left unable to pay for the costs of my treatments. I was shattered after a terrible snowboarding accident in which I got hit by a beginner snowboarder. This snowboarder smashed my foot, dislocated it, tore all the ligaments, broke it in several spots and shattered my cartilage. I was devastated after realizing my health insurance was a scam and my foot required several surgeries, many months of physical therapy, and the loss of my ability to continue my work in the same way, if at all. My life flashed before my eyes wondering how I would ever be successful again while the bills piled up and my foot, walking ability and driving ability was completely hindered and lost. My lawyer Russell went above and beyond to insure that I not only would have my massive medical bills paid for, but that I would also have compensation for my pain and suffering, lost wages and extra money to help with my life change. He was very personable and communicated with me about what to expect, the time line and fought for what I deserved.
