I would highly recommend Hall Adams. My supporting reasons are as follows:
- He is thorough, on the ball, hardworking, communicative (rare with many attorneys), means what he says and more importantly does what he says.
- He is experienced, personable and began work on my case right out of the gate. He had accomplished more in 4 weeks than several other firms who wasted my time by sitting on my case with almost losing my window of opportunity.
My conclusion of Hall Adams is simple, after going through several attorneys who, in my opinion, where not true to their word, Hall is a Go-to kind of Attorney; he accomplished what others could not, would not or did not want to becasue it may have taken some effort. He gets paid by a percentage of the recovery. So, he if he takes your case you can expect to win. In my case, the rotten insurance company initially rejected our claims but Mr. Adams was able to secure a huge settlement after litigating for 6 months.
On a friends claim he ended up having to go to trial and won a big verdict.

Joseph Dooley helped me research and develop a malpractice case to help with a simultaneous court case where the issue was caused by said medical malpractice. He is insightful, deep-thinking, caring and provided excellent legal counsel for me in a complex case. There were times when he advised me to proceed in a certain direction and times when he advised refraining from legal action to protect me financially, even when it would be less lucrative for him. I have never ever needed a lawyer however upon my first conversation with Mr Bucklin he explained in detail how the process worked. And I really did not want to hire a lawyer, however as things progressed I found out I did and Mr Bucklin was more than understanding about my needs. I initially retained Mr. Shunneson to register a parenting plan in Illinois (my career moves me around a lot). You messed up but relief is nearby. You want an expert who will also listen to you, explain the situation and your options and put you in the best situation for a positive outcome. Martin is your guy. After you hire him when you are going through waves of freaking out you can come to Avvo and re-read the 100+ positive comments (I've read them all for comfort 8 times by now) and know you've done all you can to help your situation.
I put myself in a tough situation. I went out for a few drinks, nothing egregious but when I was leaving a parking lot I goosed it around a corner and squeeled my tires. I was pulled over and declined to talk the the officers about where I was that evening or participate in any sobriety tests. The prosecutors for DUI trials in Lake county are farmed out to a private firm and the state's firm sent their #1 top guy. Martin got us a Not Guilty on DUI and Reckless driving, and a modest fine and court supervision for squealing tires. Martin went head-to-head with the state's top dui prosecutor and left him noticeably pissed while we walked out with a huge W.
You'll be comforted by his understanding of Lake county courts and procedures. He will listen to you. We worked together to craft a defense and no point anything that I thought important was left unconsidered.
Even though my case hit a complication and dragged on a bit his flat rate fees were clear fair. Quite honestly they were about 75% of what I expected and was willing to pay for a proven winner.
He's super busy but will always make time for you. Most importantly, he's a genuinely good guy.
There's a reason for Martin's top rating. Do yourself a favor and pick the best. Get the free consult and make your own choice. It's hard to put a price in peace of mind. If you've read this, you've been informed. Unless you have another proven rockstar at your disposal to consider I strongly advise you to go with Martin.

In 2001, our family hired Michael to handle our father's passing at a nursing home. It was a very hard time for our family, but he was so kind, gracious, understanding, and sympathetic throughout the process. You don't find many lawyers who have a soft heart, well in my opinion that is. He handled our case professionally, answered our questions in a timely matter and assured us we were winning our fight, and we did. I always refer my family and friends if I hear they are in need of an accident or medical claims atty. Without any hesitation Ill go back to him if ever in need. I hired Mr. Armbruster based on my personal knowledge of his skills and knowledge of the FELA law. His staff and Law partners are in my opinion, seconed to none. Ed worked very hard to get the best possible results for paying ALL of the medical bills from the car accident when I was a passenger in the car that was not at fault.
