My wife and I were in a pretty bad accident, roughly a year and a half ago. A drunk driver hit us from behind, at approximately 50 miles per hour. We flipped, crashed into a tree, and I blacked out after I was torpedo'd into the back seat. I woke up in the hospital several hours later, confused, scared, and in a lot of pain.
Fast forward a few days.
My wife and I are in pain, and are incredibly frustrated. We've never had to deal with something like this before, and it was very daunting. After a quick Google search of lawyers in the area, we soon landed on Joye Law Firm.
A short while later, we were introduced to the wonderful Jeff Gerardi, and our pre-existing fears of "evil blood sucking lawyers" melted away. Jeff was kind, patient, and very clear in his guiding us through the unknown process ahead of us.
A year and a half later, my wife and I are back to full health. Jeff Gerardi helped us manuever the tricky insurance battlefields, and we walked away with enough money in our settlement to get married, pay off all of our student loans, and make a down payment on a house!!
What could have been the worst event of our lives, ended up being a massive blessing in disguise. And Jeff Gerardi was the man who made it all happen for us.
We couldn't recommend Jeff Gerardi, and Joye Law Firm any higher. They were simply perfect.

I was injured two years ago in an accident that in no way was my fault. I was taken to the ER and immediately told I would need surgery. I didn’t have health insurance at the time and was worried about how I was going to pay for all of these unexpected medical expenses. During my hospitalization my husband contacted the Joye Law Firm. One of the best decisions we ever made! From the very start the truck company, driver, and insurance company involved claimed that even though a part of their vehicle had fallen off and hit me, it was not their fault. They denied any wrong doing and did not feel that they should be in any way responsible for me or my medical costs. It was a fight right from the beginning and not something myself, nor my husband, would have been able to handle on our own. We were faced with every hurdle you could possibly imagine: evidence getting thrown away, records and logs not being made available, doctors stating I was fine despite still suffering a broken bone that nobody thought needed to fixed. Seriously, you name it and it was an issue for us. The Joye Law Firm was there with us every single step of the way! They constantly were looking and fighting for what was in my best interest. Without their help my medical bills would have not been covered and I would be in serious financial distress, I would still be in need of a second surgery (in pain everyday as a result), and a host of issues I’d still be facing; in other words, I’d be in a completely different situation then I am in right now. I know for a fact that it was only with the help of Mr. Joye and his law firm that I was able to get the second surgery I needed, my medical bills got covered, and my case was handled in the manner it should have been. I thought that I could deal directly with the insurance company regarding my accident that caused injuries. My brother who is in insurance told me to hire a good lawyer to represent me. This occured after being frustrated with the other persons insurance adjuster. I couldn't have found a better one in Mark Joye. He was kind, personable and offered great advice. He listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. His first concern to get me the medical treatments to help me get better. Which I definitely appreciated.

John Holland was great from the beginning. With him being my 3rd lawyer on my case. Needless to say future lawyers, at the time of contact, weren't to interested in taking a case two other lawyers have been removed, fired, from. John listened to what I had to say and the problems I was having with previous lawyers. He was the only lawyer that "didn't" tell me, right from the start, "Oh, a father getting full custody of his young child is NOT likely to happen in the State of SC. " But of course they would do all they could and take my case. Leading absolutely no where. Then I met John Holland. I honestly don't believe he believed much of what I had to say. After all, I had already gone through 2 attorneys. He was straight up and let me know that if what I was telling him was on the up and up he would take the case. As time went by it was obvious that what I had been saying was true. John gave me the benefit of the doubt and worked extremely hard on my case. Never once mentioning in "SC Father's don't get custody". Well I'm hear to tell all the Father's out there, don't buy into the hype. Great lawyers can achieve great things. Took 6 years total. The last couple years with John fighting for me. As of July 29, 2022 I am happy to say I have full custody of my son. If your a Father that believes you should have custody of your children then fight for that. If you decide to fight, especially in SC, than you'll need a great attorney. John Holland is your man. If you don't give up than John won't either.

I have had the pleasure of having Alan Bass as my attorney for several years. My first case will Alan was for a shoulder injury that I sustained and subsequently needed several surgeries to fix. Without Alan's expert advise and help my shoulder would not be in as good of shape as it is today. So naturally when I was involved in a serious traffic collision that caused me to injure my back the first person I thought of going to was Alan. After almost 4 years and a major back surgery I can honestly say that Alan and his staff has worked tirelessly for me and my case to ensure that I received all the necessary treatment to get me back to as close to normal as I could get. I know that my current case that was just recently settled with my back was very challenging at times especially due to the circumstances surrounding it but through it all Alan remained positive and extremely helpful. Jessie is an excellent attorney. I hired him in 2007 as my divorce attorney. My husband and I ended up reconciling that year but I rehired Jessie in 2018. My divorce was difficult since my husband thought we would reconcile again. Jessie guided me through every part of the process. During the divorce I was in a car accident which he also handled for me. I was very surprised at the settlement he was able to get for me. I was really only looking to recoup what my insurance had paid and what I had paid out of pocket. He was able to get the max allowed under the car insurance policy. I have recommended Jessie to everyone I know that needs an attorney!!
