Trusler really does offer a better divorce experience. After 30 years, we agreed to part ways and were able to compromise on the details with Trusler's online tools. The fees were reasonable and we just followed their format and worked through the issues, consulting our paralegal as needed along the way. I HIGHLY recommend Cristi Trusler for family law, particularly custody cases. I imagine divorce can be a scary and confusing time for most people. As for me, I am also one to live my life in denial. Although Michelle Cheng was always professional and responsive, I felt she could have been a lot more aggressive with our case. I feel as though she settled and gave advice based on prior cases and scenarios. Our doctor had admitted his guilt, so had she been more demanding and aggressive, we could have possibly received more.

We did get in touch with few attorneys via phone call, but Mr. Robson stood out and was our favorite. We directly talked with him on the phone for more than 30mins and were ready to sign with him. The next day we met with him. Even though we didn’t mutually agree and sign, Mr.Robson spent almost 2 hours with us and provided valuable advice to help us with the case. This tells me a lot about him as a person and how helpful he would be if we were to sign with him. I 100% recommend him to everybody.

This was the most difficult experience of my life but Judith Bryant and her team made me feel empowered throughout the divorce proceedings and helped me to understand the new bright future that lied ahead. I was surprised with divorce papers by my wife of 12 years. I was totally caught off guard, scared and unsure of where to go and what I should do. A committed father of two, kicked out of my home, unsure of myself and the future that lied ahead I was luckily referred to Ms. Bryant and several other well known attorneys by a prominent family in Austin. From my initial meeting with Judith I could tell that she was different. Unlike some of the other well know Divorce Attorney’s in town Judith wanted to speak to me directly and scheduled my initial appoint within hours of my first call. From that meeting and throughout the divorce process Judith always made me feel like I was her only client. This was not a divorce case with millions of dollars in funds or assets but that didn’t make a difference to Ms. Bryant.
Judith was always one step ahead of my wife’s attorneys. That is probably why my wife had to have 3 attorneys in a 5 month timeframe. She was tough when she needed to be and often worked to manage my wife and her attorneys to keep me calm and help me through the process. Judith is well educated and speaks from experience allowing her to push for your best interest while setting appropriate expectations. She will pull you out of the drama and noise by helping you understand what is important. She is an ethical person who keeps your financials in-mind throughout the case helping you understand the cost vs. value within your divorce and strategy. Judith Bryant will be a friend that stands by your side, a coach when you need one and a tough lawyer when she has to be or needs to be.
Divorce is not easy and it's tough no matter what the situation. There is no winning, however, I received the custody I wanted and the portion of the estate I deserved thanks to the amazing work of Judith Bryant and her team.

If you are reading this review you have possibly found yourself distressed over many complex issues and should consult an attorney. In the meantime I write this to bring calm, relief and to ensure you there is light. I found myself in days past that were very dark and I interviewed numerous attorneys searching for a glimmer while contemplating a multi-decade marriage on the fast track to divorce.
From A to Z I searched, even the firms that boast of protecting men's rights, and others that offer ridiculously low cost while they file paperwork and leave it up to oneself to build, advocate or even defend their own case, but after meeting Judith I knew she was the attorney that could reclaim my life and shine light back on my future. From day one, Judith was able to put my chaotic situation into clear perspective and drew up an aggressive plan, in an easy to understand format, while assuring me I would one day wake from this dark nightmare. Initially and very confused, I imagined a standard or routine divorce where two people fell out of love, split what they acquired together and went their separate ways peacefully. Is there such a thing?
I still can't answer that and not quite sure I want to test a second go of it.
I have to say my divorce was special, or again, maybe routine. To describe it, my divorce was ugly, lengthy, complicated and bitterly contested at every stage. Judith took immediate understanding, remained steadfast throughout the process, was able to navigate the muddy waters, circumvent foreseeable conflicts, articulate solutions, while remaining professional, diligent and conscientious to me, seemingly but not, her sole client. Judith maintained an open calming dialog, solicited my concerns and worked hard to gain the desired results for me and my children. Judith is a proven and successful litigator which brought comfort in my decision not to skimp or hire the paper pushers that claimed to practice family law only to look confused over courtroom decorum, or needed directions to the courthouse if an agreement could not be made through mediation or over attorney teleconference. Judith has all the qualities one should look for in a legal representative especially when dealing with sensitive family law issues that if not properly represented can have long term and adverse effects on multiple futures. Others have asked and I always answer. Don't assume everything will be cordial, hope for the best, plan for the worst, don't skimp on your future. Judith is an outstanding lawyer. She worked diligently to help me through my divorce. Her expert knowledge was an incredible asset. While I applaud Eric Willie's courageous call for a reform. We have been toggled between abusive, delayed processes without accountability or reasons by the Supreme Court of the United States when urgent signature has been reviewed and approved for by lower courts.
Let's hope the 5 is not a front-end rating but a sincere address to dangerous local threats in public at the border state. Organized assault and molestation called out. No one came close to scratching in my car. It remains a 4.5 until then, focusing on where crimes are lurking and stemming. There is no guarantee it will not happen at the same time.
Life is more than surface code compliance.
It is individual and civic responsibilities both in-office and in public to address systemic issues reasonably applying legal code passed, during and after a worldwide pandemic.

I recently went through a divorce after 14 years of marriage. Although it was painful, I initially let my ex-wife set the terms to expedite the process. However, we had disagreements on several key issues, leading to amendments after she filed.
One major point of contention was our house, which I was on track to pay off in 8 years. When I opposed selling it, I was offered a $50k buyout and given 10 days to move out. At this point, I sought legal counsel and found Newberry Law, PLLC through an internet search. I scheduled an appointment with Joe Newberry, who explained his strategy for my case. After two months of working with the opposing counsel, he recommended mediation as the most cost-effective option. Two months later, my divorce was finalized, and I was awarded the house with 90 days to buy out my ex-spouse at the agreed amount.
Unfortunately, the bank holding my mortgage denied my request for an equity loan twice. The original loan was for $180k in 2011, with an outstanding balance of $83k at the time of the divorce. Out of the blue, Joe Newberry introduced me to his business associate, Ryan Leahy from Leahy Lending. I connected with Ryan and secured an equity loan to buy out my ex-spouse.
My experience with Joe Newberry and his team has been a blessing. I am divorced, still in my home, and even receiving a refund from my retainer. If you’ve exhausted all means to save your marriage, seek legal counsel. Emotions and perspectives change, so don’t leave the outcome of your divorce in the hands of your spouse. I deal with lawyers across a fairly wide spectrum of practice areas and so far as I can tell, there are two types of lawyers: (1) good lawyers who aim to get to fair, peaceful resolutions as quickly as possible, and (2) a-holes.
Luckily I got to know Newberry Law pretty well over the 2+ years it took to settle my divorce, and I'll tell you Joe and his team are squarely entrenched as the first kind of lawyer.
It was by no means easy going through a particularly combative divorce but I always felt, though at times we had our disagreements, Joe's advice centered on my best interest - but more importantly - the best interest of my kids.
When the whole thing finally did come to a head, Joe and his team were ON POINT in the courtroom and, on more than one occasion, made the opposing counsel look amateurish and disheveled by comparison.
Newberry Law is a highly competent team who will help you navigate what is a particularly complex process and keep you pointed in the right direction while you reconcile this major life change. Joe and his team are the right people to align yourself with.

The team over at CHA were absolutely fantastic! From start to finish they made sure that everything was just so and as a result I am legally me. 😊 Not only do I not dread social situations where I may be carded anymore, or going through the airport, I'm excited about being carded (which at 40 is no small feat 😅)
Are the services offered absolutely necessary? No, you can go through this process on your own, but their fees were not exorbitant by any stretch and they were work every penny for the peace of mind alone that it was being done right and wouldn't get kicked back.

I trusted Lisa Bustos with my future. You will find it evident by the end of this review that Bustos will, without hesitation, leave your life upended for a handsome profit. In fact, there is no guarantee that you will even be divorced when she is done wringing you dry.
Anger and outrage are often the driving forces behind high-conflict divorce litigation. Ms. Bustos will not exercise “client control” as she is morally and ethically bound to do, however. To the contrary, she sees dollar signs when her clients are at vicious odds with their exes. At a time when you are on your knees, Bustos will be drawing up paperwork to take out exorbitant lines of credit in your name while assuring you that your settlement will be considerable. This is a blank check for Lisa Bustos’s firm, and she and her attorneys will bill against your credit freely and recklessly.
My line of credit ran over $50,000 and Lisa Bustos still had her hand out for more money, right before she directed her associate attorney to withdraw from my case on the eve of final trial. The people who should have been at my side throughout had cut and run when I needed them most. I signed a disadvantageous Mediated Settlement Agreement rather than face final trial alone. My divorce was finished by a friend to whom I also owe attorney’s fees now.
The State Bar of Texas investigated Lisa Bustos for alleged professional misconduct. Bustos hired her own attorney and the investigations ended in dismissals of my grievances (the Bar’s Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel is not a pillar of functionality and lawyers look out for their own). In the meantime, at least two other clients of Bustos Family Law have filed for bankruptcy, or are in the process of filing.

Chris Kirker is definitely the man you want sitting next to you rather than across from in the court room. He proved that every single time he stepped foot in that courthouse. As a domestic violence victim, he provided me the feeling of safety, confidence, understanding, and eagerness to do what was right. Travis Turner has been our divorce attorney for many years. My husband unfortunately agreed to a poorly drafted divorce decree in 2008, which led to many years of ongoing conflict with his ex-spouse. Travis worked tirelessly on our behalf. He was able to negotiate a modification to the original divorce decree, leading to thousands of dollars saved in unnecessary spousal support. Additionally, over the last 10 years, Travis has assisted in resolving ongoing custodial arguments, as well as, dismissing false claims to child support arrears. She is super-sharp, could answer questions that were involved and didn't have a simple yes/no answer, provided great guidance on what to expect, when, how various things might play out, and how the various judges in Travis County might view the facts of the case. Going through a divorce was the most painful and difficult event in my life to date, but more importantly the future of our daughter Marley was heavy on my mind. As a father/man I felt there was no hope for me seeing our daughter more than I was(few hours a week) and being a part of the decision making in her life due to the way my ex talked to me and threated me. As a Line Officer in the Navy with 16 years of service I can credibly assess that their operations are on point and well-greased. What's more is that they take that extra level of care and customer service when you need it most, making critical calls and responses via email and phone at night and on the weekend should necessity dictate. The result is a pair that exhibits hybrid characteristics of both dedicated hired guns and personal friends and confidants. I was wrongfully accused of a Title IX infraction. Marc is an exceptional listener and possesses the innate ability to ascertain facts from friction. After discussing my situation, Marc walked me through the Title IX process and explained how we should address the issue. Marc assisted in drafting a response letter to the adjudicate and coached me leading up to the interview. In the end, the accusation was not a Title IX issue, and flaws and false accusations in the claimant's testimony surfaced in which the case was ruled in my favor. Bonnie Nicole (Nikki) Hudman was exactly what I wanted and needed in a divorce lawyer. So often, we hear about contentious divorces in which the focus seems to be making the opposing party as miserable as possible. I did not want my case to be like that. Sure, making a cheating spouse go through all kinds of hell would be enormously satisfying; but, after all, that approach only serves to make everyone miserable and runs up your legal fees. I wanted a lawyer who is smart, someone who pays extraordinary attention to the details, and a lawyer who is professional and completely ethical. Nikki fulfilled all those requirements. I never doubted her loyalty to me. I know she had plenty of other clients, but she made me feel as though my case was of the utmost importance. I tried to not call or email her unless I really needed to; but when I did, she was very prompt to respond. When my case went to mediation, I was ready to give into demands from the opposing counsel. She looked me square in the face and said she would not let me do that. She said that I deserved more. Now, eight months later, I'm so happy she did that. I suppose we could have gone to trial to fight for an even greater percentage of the marital property, but Nikki clearly explained the possible benefits and the likely added expense. She definitely had my best interest in mind rather than increasing her legal fees. In the end, I'm very pleased with the outcome. My case finished with a property division I'm happy with, legal fees that weren't too painful, and the knowledge that my lawyer did a top-notch job for me. Best of all, I walked away with my dignity. Can't say that for the other side!

I don't even know where to start I have so much good to say about my experience working with Grant.
I was originally divorced in 2014 and have had 11 legal proceedings since the divorce. Attack after attack after attack from my ex. She had unlimited resources through her mom and used financial extortion tactics by hiring attorneys that could stage a better "performance" in court than the ones I had hired. Facts be damned I was punished over and over. It was disheartening because my kids were affected by all of this insanity and eventually pulled away from her and lived with me full time. They were 14 when this first started happening, and despite me having these kids full time she continued to attack me legally asserting that I had poisoned their relationship with her and alienated them from her. She knew because of the financial destruction she had caused me that I did not have the resources she did and wielded that as a weapon again and again.
When I finally had an option to fight back I was referred to Grant by a friend. HE WAS SUCH A BREATH OF FRESH AIR from the other attorneys I had worked with. It is obvious he loves what he does, he is enthusiastic, he genuinely cares about his clients, and he is a BULLDOG in the courtroom! A respectful but firm and incredibly detail oriented cross-examination of my ex completely unraveled her and created the opening I needed to get a Motion To Confer allowed by the judge for my kids. Grant, unlike the other attorneys I had in the past, fully embraced this option and pushed for it hard. The judge allowed the kids to visit privately with him, and after more than an hour with each kid exactly what I had wished for years happened. I was vindicated and the judge shut down every angle that my ex was using to come after me yet again a full 4 years after our divorce.
Grant helped me believe in the judicial system again. He also helped me believe that the right thing will eventually prevail if you have GOOD REPRESENTATION! Do not make the mistake of thinking that all attorneys are created equal. Grant was the perfect fit for my case. He is young and energetic and gave my case a massive shot in the arm. He has a team of other seasoned attorneys in his firm that worked together on my case, and his enthusiasm was the secret weapon. It was such an amazing experience having him represent me and my kids.
