I was asked by a friend (not internet savvy) to help search for some legal advice, so I turned to yelp to filter out the top rated lawyers to cut down on call time.
Aventus was the second on the list that I had called and ended up being the last since I didn't need to call on any others. They genuinely listened to the scenario and gave some sound feedback. I setup an appointment so they could talk directly in detail with my friend. I'm happy that Aventus helped my friend get things resolved quickly, and my call list short! Their 5 star review is well deserved!

What a great group of guys. Jay and Jonathan really took care of me during my accident process. I got rear ended SO HARD that my car stopped working, it was immobile, and i was in a lot of back pain. The person that rear ended me also didnt even have insurance! These guys really helped me feel at ease that everything will be taken care of and I was compensated for my time and medical bills that followed taking care of my injuries. Its nice having someone to take care of process for you so you can just go see the right physicians to get back to normal healthy living and you didnt have to spend hours on the phone with insurance companies, back and forth, stuck in limbo, not knowing if your bills will be covered or not. I was referred to Daniel Martin, but I didn't think we would use them, we just had questions. Truthfully I didn't have any idea how to deal with this type of situation so I chose to hire Daniel and I'm glad I did. Daniel guided us through a process that was completely foreign to us. We did not have the time nor the knowledge to fully understand how to handle the paperwork, our rights, and the court process. Daniel was patient, non-judgmental, and understanding. Throughout the process, I messaged him often and he'd answer right away or let me know he would get back to me as soon as he could. He never left me hanging nor waiting around. 10 out of 10, highly recommend, do not look else where! Hendrick is amazing! I originally retained him when I was charged with resisting arrest about 3 years ago. A day before my first court date Hendrick took my case and from that point forward took care of EVERYTHING. Fast forward to 2024 my husband was facing a felony charge that could carry a 3 year sentence, Hendrick was able to negotiate time served, home detention for 30 days and his immediate release. I WOULD HONESTLY GIVE 0 STARTS IF I COULD!!! REEL FATHERS RIGHTS IS HERE FOR YOUR MONEY AND NOT YOUR RIGHTS!
I would run like your hair is on fire there is nothing good to say about this corrupt practice. I spent over $15,000 in 2 months with Reel Fathers Rights not doing ANYTHING for me. When I said they did NOTHING they really did NOTHING the only thing I got out of it was a scheduled FaceTime call with my son. We were supposed to go in for a custody battle (with LOADS) of evidence that would have made it an easy case yet NONE of the evidence was provided and nothing was even talked about. Heath was the one to suggest we push back the hearing for my case back (so they could keep stealing my money for the next 2 months).
THEN after the case I was not and still have not be contacted AT ALL about what was actually done during court (this was in January). It has been over 3 months and I was not been reach out to by anyone except the billing lady even after I reloaded my “trust” ($3500) TWICE (paid them $7,000) when the firm wasn’t even doing anything and I had 2 months until we present all the evidence that I had already been billed for and paid.
I have called them multiple times to try and get that paperwork and everything that they have “filed” and spent with my $15,000 I have paid in the last 2 months and I have yet to be sent anything except for a bill.
During my time having these guys as my attorney the best part was firing them and finding a new attorney. BUT (not to my surprise) when I fired them my “trust” went from $700 all the way down to $200 so it essentially costed me $500 to fire them and of course there was no explanation and there were charges added that didn’t occur and I can prove.
I have never felt like a company left me worse off than I started with but this firm is TERRIBLE. Heath would tell me “we should file this” then when I would give them the go ahead to do it then he would turn around THE NEXT DAY and tell me “ah nah let’s not file that anymore not worth it” EVEN THOUGH I HAD ALREADY PAID AND BEEN BILLED OVER A $1,000 FOR THEM TO DO IT!!!!
I really don’t want YOU to have this experience as I know MANY MANY MANY others have had the exact same experience as me so please DO NOT let this firm steal your money switch to an attorney who is cheaper won’t add and make up fake charges to bill you for and actually does there job. (Such as saying that you had an hr phone call with the attorney when you didn’t and have phone records to prove it). I know there is many people who have filed a complaint with the California bar against these guys which goes to show how bad and corrupt of a business they are running.
Heath baker is the laziest attorney I have ever met, will not represent you in person, wastes time on your call (that is $600 an hr) talking about things that are not relevant to your case whatsoever, and will not follow up after court or even send an email. There is a lot more that I could say and share from my experience but I think that you get the point by now.

And during my time with them, they claimed my attorney went on vacation, but during the time they actually had to let her go, and they had to move one of my court dates saying that they had to be another court case And resulted in me having to pay all of those fees for them to change my date I do not recommend this firm. They are not accommodating with anything. They have no tolerance policy the second you get upset that they’re charging so much money they threatened to leave you. I fired this firm on April 5, 2024, and this billing statement is April 11, 2024

I have not retained this attorney as of this moment and therefore cannot speak to his performance, but I will say that I called at 6:30 pm on a Sunday and he not only answered but provided realistic and true advice. This on its own speaks more highly than most legal advocates I've experienced. Regardless of what route I choose to take, he treated me like a person and didn't provide any fake promises. Great experience all around. Started process of getting work permit and GC for out-of-status spouse at Santa Rosa office in August 2023. After giving a summary of our situation, Arash laid out a timeline of roughly 2 years of what we needed to do as far as documents, medical exams, etc. Our case was then handed to the Sacramento office where we worked with Sumit for the remainder (mostly online with email correspondence, which was convenient). Work permit was acquired in April, and GC acquired the following August (even with having a notice to submit more docs due to insufficient evidence). Expectations exceeded and couldn't be happier with the outcome.

Mr Hammonds is very polite and respectful. He explains everything easily and is just wonderful. Definitely well worth the money. If you need a top notch attorney this is your guy! Straight foward and doesn't sugar coat. His office manager Amber is wonderful also. She sets the tone for the office, very helpful and quick to respond. They handled my son's case with much kindness and professionalism. Even with Mr Hammonds out of town our case was still handled quickly and efficiently. In September 2023, my brother (25, from Arizona) got arrested (in San Francisco, California) after attempting to enter a conference within a community both of us grew up in and have been apart of since 2008. His car keys were knocked out of his suit pants during a tackle incident at the security clearance after he had trouble leaving when asked. According to my brother there was a misunderstanding of an email conflicting with him not being invited to the conference. After being tackled and handcuffed, he told the officers he had a concealed firearm in his vehicle, 5 minutes away, as he felt it was a danger for his keys to be off of his person. I was at this conference, and saw some of this happen live. My peers in our place of work were laughing, and making memes about this for months. There are many videos and pictures of the whole ordeal.
They put 6 charges on him that night, including "possession of armor piercing ammunition" and "high capacity magazines"
The SF media created a narrative off of the charges and the prosecution ran with it moving to deny bail within the first week, just as my family was even beginning to cope with this new reality. Public consensus of the incident caused a rift in the community between those who knew him for years prior and know he would never do what was being inferred by the media, and those who didn't know him and were led to believe it. Our family used this as fuel to ensure we stuck with this case mentally and financially, no matter how hard it felt and how much of an uphill battle it was at times.
We went through two public defenders, and another private attorney before landing on Nechay Law in late March 2024. Nechay tried many angles of defense for this non violent gun storage charge. All previous charges except "having a concealed firearm in a vehicle" were wiped, and the remaining was moved to a misdemeanor which a change of plea got him out of jail after 1 year, 4 days.
The prosecution was going for conviction on the felony level to get him 6 years, based upon the narrative they shaped up. Nechay (even after 7 months of other attorneys handling the case) was able to reverse and put to rest the previously life ruining, retribution hungry narrative.
The best scenario out of all of this is he will be getting more familial attention and help to deal with previous traumas such as a car crash that totaled his very expensive car, two home break-ins, and his business faltering. Rebuilding for him will be a hard but rewarding journey, and Nechay has allowed that second chance of the sanctity of life to happen through her expertise. I cannot recommend enough. Our family is eternally grateful for Valery and her firm's service.

Deaf / hard of hearing client, facing battery charges that were false. Just signed with Ty after inquiring around with other firms. Even though I have communication issues, Ty has accommodated me and most importantly had a good attitude.
