Christian Conrad and his entire team are some of the most caring and dedicated people I have ever met in my entire life. You go into these horribly traumatizing situations in life and have to rely on strangers, and what a gift I was given these incredible bearers of light during this horribly dark time. You can count on Christian and his team to genuinely care about your case. The office is organized, well managed, and everyone there makes sure you never fall behind on your case. The office is beautiful and serene. They send copies of what they file, and you’re always informed as a client. Every time I have had to talk to anybody at the office, even during the most horrible times in my case, I was always able to find peace because of the incredibly humanizing experience it is to deal with literally any person there. I have always felt cared about, organized, informed, and respected. After getting to know the amount of law offices that I have in this time in my life, I can safely say that this office is a rare gem and if you’re in Christian Conrad or Chris Gross’ line of sight, you’re not just in a line of sight- you’re in good hands.
Not only is this office absolutely outstanding, I had a rare case that it seemed like no one would be familiar with. I hired Christian Conrad on the recommendation of a friend. Christian has to dive into a complex and agonizing custody battle due to the lies and false allegations from my ex-husband. Even with the documentation I provided the court to substantiate the lies and false allegations, the Judge ruled in favor of my ex-husband who has a criminal record and an unstable home life. As a teacher, I value integrity and ethical practices. Christian also reflected these core values and demonstrated "best practices" in court.
Christian will be honest and direct with the facts instead of sugar coating decisions. His candor is essential to comprehending the law and how it will impact your case. The family court system is flawed and there are no checks and balances for unethical behavior. Christian has been my "voice of reason" throughout this challenging ordeal.

I have a pending case in O.C. and wanted a second-opinion. After researching online, I met with Pat back in July to discuss my case and options. She was compassionate, kind and very knowledgeable from the get-go, and I retained her to file a custody suit on July 29. Throughout the process of declarations, filing, serving, responding, mediating, etc., she was in constant communication and answered all of my emails within the hour -- if not just a couple minutes. By Sept. 13, we reached a wonderful custody agreement with my very combative co-parent and avoided a tenuous court process.
Pat always kept the best interest of my daughter as priority number one and advised me as such. And though I (thankfully) didn't have to see the inside of a court room to reach the custody agreement I desired, I've heard that Pat has a reputation for fighting for her clients aggressively and professionally in court. Kendra Thomas was/is awesome! Divorce is messy child custody is messier. Kendra is a pro. You don't always get what you want, but the court system is setup to make sure of that. You get what you need and Kendra is a professional advocate for the children caught in the middle. My kids were so lucky to have her advocating for them, so they end up with time with both parents. Kendra is fair and that's all I could ask for.

In August 2022, the judge hearing the custody/visitation case regarding my minor son (10 w/ ADHD) appointed Ms. Thomas for his representation. Ms. Thoman was great! She interviewed my ex-husband and me. She spoke to my son privately to collect the information she needed to determine how she would present her(his really) case. She was truly for my sons his best interest, so much so that at the final hearing my ex-husband and I felt good creating a parenting plan together without the judge all while considering what Ms. Thomas expressed to us. We were able to talk amicably, but most importantly co-parent in a way that we had not been able to do in years. We both found a plan that works for us both, but especially for our son who is much more happier. Also, Ms. Murray, her assistant was on it. Her response time showed my ex-husband and I that they were invested in the case.

I retained Maria's services to assist with the asset portion of my divorce after my previous attorney basically did nothing. Maria familiarized herself with my case immediately and took to the task. I retained Ms. Main about 6 months into my existing case after firing my first attorney. I was terrified and scared and discouraged because of my previous experience with the court system. My previous attorney dropped the ball and Ms. Main came into the picture and had to clean up his mess. From day one, she remembered every detail of my case and I was 100% confident in her court room appearance as well as all of the paper work that her office filed. She always put my son’s best interest ahead of anything else. She is truly ethical and was so professional in the court room even when the judge and opposong council left me with a sour taste in my mouth. She never stooped to their level and always stayed professional and fought for what was right! She is extremely knowledgeable and is “the smartest person in the room” (inside joke). Opposing council was a loud mouth and should actually be a criminal defense attorney, not a family law attorney. It’s actually disgusting how horrible other attorneys can be. HOWEVER, Rebekah is someone you want on your team. Child custody is heart breaking and gut wrenching. It’s expensive (however she is fairly priced and doesn’t charge above and beyond like most). After over two years from my initial hearing, my case finally was resolved and I am so grateful that I can now put the nightmare behind me. Let me add, it was opposing who consistently dragged out our case, not Rebekah. She wanted resolution as much as I did. She is extremely valuable and as far as I’m concerned one of the best attorneys I have ever known. Her staff is also awesome! I felt like they knew me on a personal level, I never felt like a business transaction. I am telling you now, if you are searching for a child custody attorney, do not waste your time looking elsewhere, hire Ms. Main. You won’t regret it. If I could give her 100 stars I would. I wish there were more stars to give Amanda. She is by far the best attorney in California!!! What should have been a simple divorce turned into a year and a half long nightmare. I live in Virginia and was having to fight a divorce all the way in California. I was so scared not being able to meet with my new attorney face to face and only had 30 days to find someone after I was served. I found Amanda within a few days of searching and sent her an email letting her know my situation. That same day she e-mailed me back. We ended up having a phone conversation and I just knew in my heart she was the one to go with. That was definitely the best decision I ever made. I don't know where I would be without her. What can I say, but Roxas Law is AMAZING! At first, the thought of going to court seemed so daunting. I had very little time with my daughter as the original court order was placed when my daughter was 3 months old. My ex moved to a different city, with no notice, and wanted to change the whole visitation pickup and hours. Therefore, I knew I had to go to court to have a new visitation schedule in place. I visited several law firms and once I went and sat down with Sandy, I knew Roxas Law was the one. She laid out all of the possibilities starting with a reasonable less costly, mentally and monetarily, approach of simply talking to one another with legal assistance, to mediation, to going to court. I knew she that could handle my extremely difficult ex and handle my particular situation with ease and professionalism.
I had not been granted access to my daughter since December 27, 2019. I started the court process in Mid January and the firm was so helpful and explained the whole process thoroughly. During this time, my ex avoided all of the phone calls from Troy and Sandy and made it extremely difficult to even serve her. Throughout this time, their professionalism never wavered and they kept me calm, as it was stressful to think that I would never get to see my daughter as my ex did everything in her power to avoid contact. After several attempts of trying to contact her, she was finally served and we had a court date set for March 20, 2020. However, everything came to a screeching halt on March 19, 2020 when Los Angeles was officially shut down due to COVID. Another disappointment, more stress, and more waiting without seeing my daughter and knowing if she was ok or not.
But, leave it to Sandy and Troy to come to the rescue! They had to inform my ex that the court date would be rescheduled due to COVID and it was unknown as to when that date would be. They reached out to my ex and asked her if the old visitation schedule could resume as it was not known when we would go to court. She refused citing COVID concerns. However, since we had a TON of evidence against her and how she interfered with my parenting time, refused to give me access to see my daughter, and many other things, her refusal would be one more piece of evidence against her. Once she was told, she quickly changed her mind and allowed my previous visitation schedule with my daughter.
We had another court date schedule for May and it was also pushed back. Throughout this time, Troy always reached out to ensure that everything was going as smooth as possible until we could go to court. If I had any issues with my ex, he was quick to handle it. We then had a court date on July 13, 2020. The big day finally arrived! Of course, I was terrified. Troy was very professional and eased my nerves and always explained what was coming up and let me know the possible outcomes. The judge granted me everything I wanted and more with the exception of full legal custody. It was a huge victory!!! I could not have done it without their help!
Bottom line, you get what you pay for. The rates are beyond reasonable for the help, experience, and professionalism you get. The entire experience can seem daunting and scary and just beyond hope. But, I can tell you that it is not! Do not hesitate to contact Roxas Law for anything you need as you will not regret it. You will have a great team behind you to get you through the ups and downs of child custody issues. A big thank you to Sandy and Troy and everyone else at the office!!!!

Brian Myers is the best attorney anyone can hire in Santa Cruz County. He has been my attorney for six years. This man knows the law and will fight for you with honesty and integrity. That may not be important to everyone, but it was, and still is, important to me. There is a reason why he is the Santa Cruz County Family Law Bar Association President. They chose well.
I met with Brian for a consultation 3 months before filing for divorce. I explained my dire circumstances and he listened. He didn't set a timer or watch the clock (like the others) and went well over the allotted time. Unlike some of the bottom feeders I met with, he showed compassion and I sensed this was a man who took his code of ethics seriously, which is very hard to come by with divorce attorneys. Let's face it, there's a special place in Hell for most of them. I told him I wasn't looking to hurt my soon-to-be ex-husband and he was okay with that. I thanked him for his time and left his office to consider what I would do.
Three months later, I knew I had no choice but to file for divorce. I called and asked to speak with him. He was surprised I was calling him at that time; not because he thought it would work it out, but because it took me 3 more months before I finally walked away from an impossible situation. His compassion was palpable. He asked for a very reasonable retainer and had my divorce filed and served within a week. There wasn't one hiccup.
My case inevitably became horribly ugly a few months later when an emergency custody request was necessary. He took care of everything and it was seamless. I then needed a Domestic Violence Restraining Order, which he secured for me for three years and then renewed for another five. I endured years of a custody/visitation battle with drug & alcohol testing, multiple reunification therapists, a move to a different county, etc. He's done it all for me. The bottom line: My kids are safe and I have Brian to thank for that.
The one thing that was (and still is) most important to me while fighting this fight is this: I want to be able to come out of this someday with my head held high. I want my kids to know, someday when they're old enough, that I did everything right. I never lied. I never stooped to the lows the other side did. That's important to me. Kids figure out on their own at some point what's going on, so don't play dirty. That's my first bit of advice to anyone reading this. My second bit of advice is this: Hire Brian. He will be there for you every step of the way. He'll get the job done and he'll do it right. If you want an attorney who will represent you effectively, ethically and efficiently, Brian Myers is your guy.

6 Year Divorce War… I could only afford Mr. Freed for a couple of years. He would probably kill me for saying this… He continued to support me when I had a questions for the following 3 years while I went to trial. I won! I would not have won without his help. Over the course of the last 6 years The attorneys I have opposed have been some of the most vial human beings. He would have taken them all. The best part is that he’s got tremendous heart. He wins with the heart of a lion instead of the trickery of a jackal. Although I’m sure if needed, he could muster up plenty of the latter as well.

Richard G. Freed was my divorce lawyer in 2010. He did a great job and I couldn't have been more satisfied with his work!!
Richard was calm, well prepared and a gentleman in the office. His legal skills are cutting edge and his demeanor is confident but not arrogant. He cut through the red tape in court like a surgeon. I always felt like he was looking after my best interests. The case ended and I said thank you. Seven years later it became necessary for me to hire Richard again. My ex had not removed my name from our house loan or paid his half of our bills. Richard filed paperwork to enforce the Judgment but never had to argue the case in court because he was able to negotiate with my ex who agreed to sign an Agreement in Richard's office. Despite the divorce I get along with my ex and did not want to fight him in court. Our family were all watching and they worried about us. I never wanted any problems with my ex but was willing to go to court if necessary.
I was grateful and relieved the case was settled and I would not hesitate to hire Richard in the future if the need arises.

About twenty years ago, Tony had helped my parents and I get through a challenging criminal case. Achieving the best result possible. I have never heard of a divorce is traumatizing or as messy as my own. I was devastated by the unfair and untrue allegations my ex brought to the court and the resulting financial, custody, emotional and mental battle that ensued. Kathleen was my attorney for Divorce and custody case, She did an amazing Job in negotiating last minute! She literally did a “Hail Mary” minutes before Trial she struck a deal on my high conflict ex that saved me Thousands of Dollars. She always kept her cool and calmed me down when I felt like I was loosing everything. Kathleen is a tough attorney and I pray I never ever need an attorney again but if I do she’s my girl! I consulted with many attorneys before and after her but I knew the moment I met her she was the one. I made the mistake of ignoring my gut and went with a way more expensive attorney that someone recommended because I assumed “You get what you pay for” although that may be true in some situations… Not in my case. With my first attorney the retainer was gone within first couple courts dates , had I kept the other attorney I would have lost thousands of dollars. Kathleen wasn’t just trying to get a pay check she was actually trying to help me she actually cared. Attorneys are busy people they have a lot going on and I sometimes felt discouraged when I didn’t hear back from them seconds from me emailing or calling I remembered they are busy and I just had to be patient and usually the things I emailed them about where just me being anxious and worried so if it was something that really required immediate attention they would respond immediately! But when it was just my anxiety I think they saw that and let me be until I calmed down and I see that now and appreciate it. Plus I did email them A lot I will admit that. Irene Intelligator represented me in a highly contentious case. she was honest and professional.
