What to say about Goldie... She is a pushy, strong, fights for your side and will not stop. She is a powerhouse. There is nothing that my now ex wife wouldn't do to try extort money from me and being dishonest with the judge was also a normal thing for her to do along with her lawyer who also did not tell the truth. In the end, Goldie was great and got me divorced and also ended the crazy with my ex. I am free no matter how much my ex wanted to be married to our divorce to punish me. I am so thankful for Goldie as she always set me straight and was my rock.

Goldie always listened to me. I was divorcing my husband and we had 2 young kids together. No matter what the other side did, Goldie would fight the fight for me. She would say things to the judge that I could not believe she remembered I told her. She knew all the details. The other side would hire and fire lawyers. Each lawyer was worse and they would just lie to the judge to try and get something. Goldie always prevailed. She won the war for me and I am now free and I have sole legal and sole physical custody of our kids. She is truly a miracle worker. I love you Goldie.

Sherine has been an enormous help to me during a high conflict and difficult time. She is both professional and incredibly thoughtful and I am so grateful to her for her understanding and patience with her clients like myself. She makes me feel safe and taken care of. She has invested personal time in reaching out to me to ensure things are going smoothly with my case and problem-solve whatever comes my way. I can't say enough good things about her. She's got you covered on the legal side of things, but also just makes you feel like you're being genuinely cared for by a friend. She is strong-mannered, detail oriented, and I've heard her be compared to a shark (in the best way) while in court. I also appreciate how strongly she advocates for those having trouble fighting for themselves. I went through a lengthy divorce process that was very difficult, and full of a lot of acrimony. I interviewed a dozen family law attorneys, and took copious notes. Traci stood out above the rest. I felt her approach to be the most honest and sincere. My experience was validated as I worked with her. As I worked with Traci, I found her communication style simply outstanding. She always kept me apprised of what was happening, and was very easy to reach. I was never in a position of not knowing what was happening. If you anticipate a lot of difficulty with your case, you want someone like Traci on your side. She did wonders to lower my anxiety. Let's face it, hiring a lawyer is expensive. I was fortunate to find Traci and retain her as a consulting attorney for my divorce. Stephen helped with a case my ex wife brought to OCCS after 30 years falsely claiming I owed back child support. He was very thorough and explained everything to us on our level. When we were looking for an ethical attorney to represent our son, it was a daunting task. We interviewed many attorneys, but after meeting and speaking with Matthew Izzi, I knew that he was the one to represent our son's defense. I felt he would approach his defense with integrity and respect for our son, and he did. Matthew doesn't fall into believing false accusations of articles written, community pressures and opposing counsel stacked charges, he develops his defense based on facts, based on the truth for his client, our son. He assured our son of his defense plan and collaborated with our son on the best way to develop his defense strategy. Matthew's demeaner in the courtroom is professional, no matter how much opposing counsel tries to pull his strings, he remains calm and forthright. He addressed injustices that were made against our son and explained many facts, of the truth, that sheds a bright light for the jury to see and that light doesn't go out, for that is what the truth does, it shines bright. Matthew gave us hope, something the DA tried to destroy. The Shasta legal system is a process of delays, unnecessary jail time --for our son, questionable decisions made by appointed judges, unfair bail , this is 'not' a justice system in our point of view. This was frustrating for us and for our son. We experienced many injustices during my son's trial by opposing counsel and Shasta Sheriff dept. So you need a good lawyer when you are in Shasta's court system. If you are looking for a good defense lawyer consider Matthew, he cares for his client's well being, despite the uphill battle he faces when dealing with the opposing counsel's unprofessional behaviors, different judges and Shasta Sherriff/Probation dept., etc.. One more comment, if you read anything written via yelp, social media or in the newspaper, that is negative about Matthew's character, by certain people in Shasta county, don't believe them, they can't deal with Matthew being so good at his job and believing in our son's account regarding what really happened. God knows the truth and the yappers negativity against my son, will be dealt with by God. When stacked charges are brought up against your loved one, you need an attorney who will represent your loved one, in an aggressive, professional, intelligent and smart manner. The highlight is-- you need Matthew who will believe in you and will work diligently to prove your loved one's innocence. Matthew helped me understand an area, that I wasn't familiar with, the legal system, this also helped our son fight the system for his innocence and to try to get through the difficult situation. Matthew's staff is friendly, listened to me through many phone calls regarding my frustration with the Court process, the DA and Sherriff dept. So consider Matthew for your defense, this will be the most important decision of your loved one's life.

Ron Champoux was recommended to me by my business attorney to handle my divorce case. That was very fortunate. Ron clearly knows the law and better still what to expect from the court. He was able to predict with a high level of accuracy how the court might decide an issue, and develop a legal strategy around it. I respect that he never once spoke disparagingly of my ex-wife and did not foment friction. Unfortunately my ex-wife's attorney did the opposite. Ron Champoux was a step or two ahead of my ex-wife's attorney at every juncture. I could also see that Ron had garnered the respect of the court (Judge Beverly Wood) and was clearly liked by everyone, including opposing counsel. He's basically a nice guy who is very competent, treats everyone with respect and gets it back. I witnessed the value of having an attorney that the court respects. His personal integrity is a given in the courtroom and his representations carry weight. He makes honest statements and winning arguments. My case was very litigious because my ex-wife's attorney was money hungry, hostile and unethical. Ron was able to deftly thwart the other side's aggression and shady tactics. He also very importantly explained the court's attitude toward entitlement and hard work. The Marin County Family Court is dominated by successful women who have balanced career and family, and do not agree that a spouse is entitled to a free ride while the other works. Ron understood that basic concept and the court's propensity for it and I was better served. It makes a big difference having an ethical attorney who thinks well on his feet. Ronald Champoux saved me at least a half million dollars in settlement and perhaps over a million. So obviously I'm a big fan. Ron has mastered the nuances of managing a case, which means you are buying a high level of legal expertise and good sense. If you're looking for an attorney who will scorch the earth, then keep looking. But if you're looking for an attorney with class who knows how to win, then Ron Champoux is your guy.

We hired Loni for a very complicated and stressful case. Her experience was extremely valuable in so many ways. In particular, it was a VERY emotional case for us and Loni helped us keep the proper focus when our emotions took us off course. She is extremely patient when listening to her clients. In our case, Loni appeared to be very respected by the Judge. She is skilled at negotiating, as well as litigation. Our daughter decided we were trying to steal her child and hired an attorney and fought the Guardianship. We had raised our grandson and he had lived with us since 5 weeks old, and is now 2 1/2. Our daughters alcohol addiction and the fathers criminal past and inability to support our grandson necessitated our request for Guardianship. We now have General Guardianship of our grandson, and are FOREVER grateful to Loni and her staff.

I hired Loni to file for emergency guardianship of our nephew. It was a complicated case and our family was a wreck. Loni was amazing - she is one of the most empathetic people I have ever met. Her work was exceptional. She is a very skilled litigator. The other party ended up assenting to the guardianship - due to the strength of the case that Loni put together. The negotiation was intense, but Loni kept us calm and focused. It is rare to find an attorney that is equally good at litigating and negotiating but Loni excels at both. Shumika is an amazing attorney. She is not out to do anyone dirty or lie about anything. She was very honest with me and I was with her. She had great communication with me during my whole divorce case. Even when my ex's attorney failed to even educate themselves on the case and attempted to play dirty pool, Shumika stood her ground on what was right and didn't stoop to their level. Shumika and I were a team on everything, working together like a well oiled machine. I recommend her to anyone in need of an attorney. I now realize why they call it a custody battle. I went to war with my former spouse to get custody of our children. We did take a few blows in the battles, but I had a great commander and chief keeping me out of harm's way, her name is Attorney Karen Miller. The worst thing in the world is that our children's college money was used to finance this war. The problem is not with the attorneys but with the system. Many times we went to court, the Judge would ask us to return. I just want readers to know that I wanted to give up on many occasions; however, Attorney Karen gave me positive reinforcement to not give up on my children. We finally have our victory, and I am grateful that I stuck it out with Attorney Karen. If you do what she says, you will do well in court. It does not happen overnight to get out of your troubles, but I had to realize that our legal woes did not happen overnight either. Bless you Attorney Karen and your wonderful staff for always offering me and my family hope that we would prevail. I still owe you and your staff that dinner by the ocean.

Ms. Miller cares about her clients. I have been a client for the last 15 years since my eldest son was 3. Fortunately he just turned 18 and is no longer a victim of his mother. I have 2 younger children, 16 and 14. We are still going to court everytime their mother wants to make a change in their stable program. Everytime their mother looses thanks to Ms. Miller's superior skills as an attorney. The children's mother has hired over 6 attorneys in the last 15 years and all have of those attorneys have been defeated mainly because I have had Ms. Miller at my side. Thank you for being a winner for my chikdren and saving them from their unstable mother. If you have a horrible ex who keeps taking yiu back to court, I would highly recommend Ms. Miller. My friend highly recommended Karen after I told my friend the problems I was having with my now former attorney. My former attorney was called a pit bull, but turned out to be a pussy cat. Karen was in my corner day one. She knows the system and how to win this game. From the very first time we stepped into court, it was apparent that this is her home at court. Julia is great. My only regret is that I wish I had found her sooner. I had to learn the hard way that there are a lot of bad lawyers out there. I worked with a divorce attorney before. I didn't know I could have been more protected until I found Arelis. I wish my previous attorney could have protected me more. Actually, I wish I found Arelis sooner and hired her as my attorney back then. This is the second time I had to go back to court because my ex wanted to stop paying child support. My case had multiple facets to it, but I was most interested in getting the finance aspects of my divorce taken care of by dividing the finances appropriately, rather than fighting and the courts getting all the money. Nicole took my case and was able to professionally and promptly execute each action item while clearly explaining it to me throughout the entire process. Traci is professional. She stood by me and worked with an opponent who did not play by the rules. My ex lied and hid our assets and started cashing out our retirement almost before I even hired Traci. My daughter lives with me who is handicapped and I with serious health issues,’he tried to leave us with almost nothing!! Believe me he quit his job and threatened to move to Mexico. Year or so later my daughter and I are safe. He had to pay me 2 years in advance alimony for him to get a job. This review is about five years overdue but Marlene deserves the credit. When my (then) husband unexpectedly asked for a divorce, he took everything out of our shared account and hired a lawyer instead of going through the military. Marlene worked with me on fees for what I could afford and did an amazing job representing me! She was incredibly thorough and kept up with fighting accusations from the other lawyer with proof they were false. The divorce ended in my favor without having to meet with my husband or go to court. I highly recommend Marlene Keen.
