I could not be more happy with my choice to hire Kevin Major and his Paralegal, Christine. I hired them from out of state to represent myself and my child. I was always informed every step of the way. Kevin and Christine always made me feel like I was their only client. Kevin is an honest and fair attorney. There were many times that the other party was dishonest, cut corners, withheld information and documents and was outright rude- but Kevin and Christine both never wavered. Kevin remained honest, respectful and fair. Kevin took the time to educate me in all aspects of my case resulting in me feeling comfortable and confident in my decisions. Kevin Major is a fantastic person and it translates into his work as a lawyer. When I needed the services of a lawyer, I searched and interviewed many potential candidates. I didn't have a lot of money and I didn't want to hire somebody who was an unfeeling, cutthroat lawyer. Although I didn't want to have to go through the particular situation I was in, I also wasn't interested in destroying the other party. Kevin's approach to my case was exactly the same as mine, and that's why I hired him. In a court system that doesn't always make much sense, filled with sharks and others who want to do you wrong, Kevin rises above the fray and gives a person reason to continue believing in the system. Against ridiculous odds, the outcome of my case was more favorable to me than I could have imagined -- I attribute that to some kind of good karma based on his common sense approach and desire to seek-out right from wrong without wanting to inflict undue harm on any parties. He worked with my financial situation to enable me the time I needed to get on my feet. I am very grateful to Kevin and Christine for the generous effort they provided me and the excellent results. I still consult Kevin as circumstances change and continue to validate that he is one of the "good guys." I wouldn't hesitate to consult with and then hire Kevin, he is an amazing person, and lawyer.

I had an excellent experience with Fort Collins Family Law. They were incredibly responsive and professional throughout my case. Ms. Lamborne took the time to thoroughly understand my situation and what was important to me. She offered several approaches and developed a plan of action that resulted in a very positive mutual outcome.
Ms. Dandeneu was also very responsive and organized, ensuring seamless communication. Invoices and expenses were clear and agreeable, with no unexpected charges or surprises. Their legal advice was knowledgeable, and they clearly defined the positive and negative implications of our strategy.

I cannot recommend Sarah enough! No one wants to have to deal with family court issues, but if you do, this is absolutely the law firm to use! Throughout the entire process, Sarah was knowledgeable, kind, empathetic, organized, and realistic. My emails/calls were always answered quickly, and Sarah was always clear and honest as far as what to expect, giving her advice while also listening to my concerns. My only regret is I didn't use her when I first got divorced, haha...this was for a bunch of post-decree stuff, that unfortunately went allllll the way to a hearing. In the courtroom, Sarah was clearly much more prepared than the other counsel, organized, and had made sure I was very clear on what to expect/do, and you can tell she is smart, quick, (and also tough as she cross-examines!) I ended up getting not just everything I wanted, but extra things I didn't expect as well. However, even the outcome was less than that, I would still be recommending her, because of how helpful and amazing she and her staff were for the entire years-long process leading up to this. She was also fair in her billing, (and didn't let the other party or my witness run extra time on the billing clock.) I hope you never need a family attorney, but if you do, this is the one to use.

Katherine is a fantastic attorney, and one I would recommend to anyone struggling with a family law issue. Mr. Redding did an outstanding job on my ex's neglect and abuse case resulting in me having 100% full custody and 100% decision making to my then 6 year old son and 5 year old daughter. He had the Guardian at Leitem apologizing in court.
A littler over a year later I hired Mr. Redding again for a contempt case with my same drugged out ex. The case ended with her losing her supervised visitation rights and the Judge still ordered the original court orders regarding my ex and what she has to do to earn time and rights back. 10/10 will hire again.

I worked with Hillary back in the mid 90's to the around 2006. She was the best attorney I have had the pleasure of working with. She is very good at what she does, and that is looking at all the facts, and doing what needs to be done for the best interests of the child. She was amazing, and very straight and to the point about every aspect of the whole custody battle.
Her rates were very fair, and I was on a very tight budget and she worked with me to allow me to be able to fight for my son's rights, and my rights. She is an amazing and remarkable woman, and I have and still do recommend her many years later.

They used to be Cantafio and Hammond. Their employment lawyer Christine Breen took my case, when I was at my lowest, just let go after years of workplace bullying, and recently retaliated against for whistleblowing, and contemplating suing my employer. She promised to help, but then was MIA and refused to return calls. Yet she charged $2000 doing work no one asked her to do, as I already signed a severance agreement not to sue. She never wrote a demand letter. Never did anything substantial, except wrote 2 emails. I had to tell her to cease and desist charging me. I had to bring this case to the bar association. She immediately called, yelling, you agreed to pay this amount. We negotiated, and she reduced it by a few hundred. I should've gone to the bar association and got her disbarred. When you are at your most vulnerable, you cannot trust these people.

Jen helped me unravel a very sticky situation last year regarding custody and child support payments. I hired her again this year to assist in coming to a final resolution on unfair alimony payments. I hired Colleen for a divorce, and during the initial consultation I was told everything I wanted to hear in order for her to get my retainer, then it all went downhill from there. I do not think it is ethical for attorneys to make false promises to clients, and have no accountability for poor performance. Colleen was never on time for a single appointment we arranged, and it was clear that she took on more cases than she could handle to maximize her revenue, even as it diminished the quality of her legal work. I would go into hearings having no idea what was going on, as there was inadequate or no preparation at all. In the end, I was coerced into a settlement agreement I did not want to sign, with Colleen complaining beforehand about collecting more attorneys fees, and her not wanting to do a full day hearing. You'd honestly be better off representing yourself.

I paid Joel Fry to defend me against Connie Matthews on charges of domestic violence. Durango is a small town. Everyone knows everyone. Connie owned a business around the corner from Joel’s office.
I told Joel that Connie attacked me multiple times. That the third time she was attacking me I pushed her off. Police arrived and I was arrested.
Joel continued to tell me to plea guilty, because he said, “The Judge will send you to jail.”. I trusted him and did. It’s now on my record. I remember him saying, “You’re retired. This conviction will not affect you.”
It came to light that Connie, single and 60, knew Joel, single and 60 and they both pretended not to know one another.
From my experience Joel Fry is not honest.
So beware.

My experience was excellent. Very high degree of professionalism and respect for what I prioritized in the process and the settlement they obtained for me. Exactly what you want in these situations.
My case took more than a year to complete, and all along the way there were many legal details and strategies I never would have figured out on my own that this firm was expert in. They also interfaced directly with my medical insurance company which was convenient for me.
