I was not referred to Lance. I live 90 minutes away from his office and needed an attorney on Long Island. I chose Lance based on a few positive reviews and a frantic need for representation.
A complex divorce has had me working with him for almost two years. Amid a hectic schedule that all good divorce attorneys navigate , moments when the emotions of it all make you feel snubbed by the world, and even your attorney, Lance has helped me to create a case against my ex-wife that will likely result in the win I’ve longed for. If it doesn’t, it will have been of no fault to Lance. Together we crafted a motion that dissected my ex-wife’s false claims and lies. Over a year later, 8 adjournments and a continued emotional roller coaster I was able to see Lance on trial. His performance was no less than brilliant in every way possible. While my case is ongoing, his strategy made a fool of opposing counsel, and his intellect, instinct and confidence in front of the judge completely demolished the false narrative that was presented to the court by my ex. As a loving father this moment to fight back felt like life or death for me. While I feel like I’ve already won bases on egregious actions of my ex, and the truth, I’m realistic a court may not see what I saw. But what I saw was a true professional who accomplished more than I could ever ask for in a trial. I don’t expect to lose, but if I do, it will not be because of Lance Simon. As a client, it is hard to differentiate emotions from necessary strategy. It takes a pro who knows how to position your case in front of a judge to succeed. I trusted him and he surpassed my expectations.
The best way to work with Lance is to ask what he needs from you, and how that information needs to be disseminated to him. Your efforts will make the difference. Throughout this wild ride, Lance will be fast to return text and emails, and slow at time. This is common for every attorney brave enough to take on the insanity of divorce. Your time will come when you feel completed loved by Lance. Be patient. Your opinions will be heard. You’ll like be put in your place a few times, but tensions are high in battle. True Leaders keep the novices in line. You’ll need thick skin everywhere you turn while in a divorce battle.
Beyond legal, and after significant time spent with Lance, at his office and even at his home, I also leaned he is a very good father and loving husband. His humanity has mattered to me. It should to you.
Regardless of my final outcome, I’m happy to refer Lance as exceptional attorney. After the bills add up, and stress you out, you’ll be getting more value then you know. Great job Lance.

My experience with Adrienne D. Edward Law Office was appalling. I felt always in the dark regarding my situation because of the inadequate communication. The level of service was subpar, and it appeared that they were more concerned with collecting money than assisting me. I wouldn't suggest this business to anyone looking for capable legal representation since the entire process was stressful and disappointing. Considering my experience, all the glowing reviews seem dubious. Look elsewhere and spare yourself the headache.

Was recommended to Amy for my divorce. We worked through a mediator as it was supposed to be simple (my wife and I get along quite well). I had a lot of issues with the mediator as Amy kept finding legal issues that she had to correct. My (ex) wife and I both agreed to just let Amy run the show aswe were both so comfortable with her. She took what was getting complicated and made it easier for us all. Mission accomplished today. I plan on using her for other legal issues, should they arise in the future. Glad I found her. Highly recommended!!

When I went to see Stacey, I was sobbing and almost incoherent. My sister-in-law joined me to ensure that everything was comprehended and understood. Stacey, although I was very emotional, cut straight to the chase with regard to my pending divorce. She put my emotions aside, and with her experience and dedication, directed me on exactly what needed to happen next. It was clear to me that she was very experienced with a no- nonsense approach to what needed to be done. Action was taken the very same day to file for my divorce, which was not my choice as the decision had been made for me. I grew stronger with Stacey's guidance and support. I cannot say enough about how Stacey will find the time to answer your questions (even when some of them may be frustrating, and I know some of mine were because I did not understand the process) and offer support at the very professional level of an attorney who has much experience in her field. I don't think that I could have, nor would i have wanted to, work with another attorney. I would highly recommend the Douglas Family Law Group. I have come to realize that you either have a horrible lawyer or a great one. I feel the best measure is when they are transparent and show that they actually care. I was first represented by a pro-bono lawyer who wouldn't tell the court my ex-partner boyfriend threatened me, that she caused him 38 lates to school and she didn't have him half the time and she moved out of state without telling me or the court. He just kept telling me " you never know what the judge will say so take the settlement". he refused to even put my requests in the settlement if he felt they wouldn't agree. When I retained the Douglas Family Law group it was a different experience. There was constant communication, empathy and acknowledgment for some of the unfairness that I had experienced. Elizabeth spoke up for me in the courtroom and stated many things that needed to be on the record. Elizabeth put in my reasonable and justifiable requests when engaging in the settlement process. Elizabeth many times had to explain to me what the court pays attention to and what path we can take to present that. I have a great disdain for the family court system and it's practices but if you have representation from this law firm they can professionally and honestly represent and defend your interests in this institution. I, thank them for finally giving me a voice in this arena so that my son can truly have what he needs that serves in his best interest.

Heather Fig is an outstanding Attorney. She should be awarded the highest rating that any rubric offers. She is ethical, extremely hard working, eminently knowledgeable, dedicated, and caring. She is familiar with every detail of my case and the law. She applies herself so completely that one would think she’s working for a relative. Honestly there should literally be a line at her office to procure her representation. She’ll restore your good name if you are wrongly accused. Her reputation in the courthouse proceeds her. People actually stand back and say ooh when they hear that you have Heather Fig defending you. Seriously, if you don’t pick her to represent you you’re making a mistake.

I can't recommend Gus Dimopoulos highly enough, he was a lifesaver during my divorce. Going through a divorce is undoubtedly one of the most challenging experiences one can face, but Gus made the process as smooth and manageable as possible. The financial issues in my case were extremely complicated as I own a complex business and there were significant 8-figure valuation issues to deal with. Complicating matters were disagreements with custody. Gus took the time to understand the concerns, and managed to balance the matter that was often charged with children’s issues against the level-headed approach to the financial aspects of the case.
He managed to bring about the settlement that I wanted by stepping foot in court only once. On the one occasion we did have to go to Court, Gus completely controlled the room and got me the result I needed on that particular issue. In fact, I think my ex was happy to settle after watching Gus in court during that one appearance.
I could not be happier and more grateful with the results he was able to achieve, and we continue to have a friendship long after the ink on the settlement agreements dried.
