Hiring Andrew Taylor as my attorney was the best decision I made when filing for divorce. My case was complicated, including numerous filings and hearings leading to a multi-day trial related to my divorce, child custody and support. He also handled my J&DR Court hearings to secure a Protective Order for my children and I. Andrew knows the law thoroughly and his experience in the courtroom meant he gave me very sound advice. After trying diligently to settle with the other side, it became clear we would have to go to trial. This meant months strategically prioritizing and timing the work on discovery, depositions, expert witnesses, coordination with the Guardian Ad Litem (GAL), minor children testifying to the judge in chambers, and supplementary legal negotiations. Andrew and his paralegal, Shannon, expertly managed all of this. They are truly good people and a delightful team: I trust them implicitly.
Prior to my divorce trial, I presented Andrew with a 20-point list of what I wanted the judge to grant me. Like most of us, I met multiple lawyers prior to selecting one to handle my divorce and custody of three children. I knew it would be contentious and needed someone willing to take on the fight and unexpected allegations. From the day I met Chris, I knew he was the right personality. His calm demeanor portrays a confidence necessary in the court room and handling complex negotiations with OC. I unfortunately had the pleasure of not one, but two instances of trial prep in Chris's office and really appreciated the thoroughness of his preparation and the inclusion of his staff. I genuinely feel I benefited from the full team environment at the firm, I needed the support and persistent follow-up! I ended up being sued twice and each time Chris handled it with complete professionalism, maturity and assurance knowing exactly how to handle each situation. Most importantly, I always felt I could tell Chris exactly how I was feeling and he did the same for me. There were no pretenses, which I find important in a client-attorney relationship. We contacted the Law Office of James Steele for help with a family member's time sensitive court issue. Within the hour, the incredibly helpful office practice manager had secured an attorney who could be available to take the case right away. We did not know Ms. Henderson before, but the way she attended court and expertly and professionally engaged with the judge, prosecution, and officers, showed her ease and skill in that arena. Every authority in uniform in that courtroom was actually happy to see her. She is clearly considered a professional in high regard. My son suffered a brain injury during a car accident and Mr. BYLER is very mindful of how to speak with him and approach things so that he understands and doesn’t feel pressured.

Our attorney, Elizabeth Smyers, and her assistant were horrible at communicating, demanding us to meet their deadlines while completely allowing the other party to not provide court required information that was needed. Then, withdrew from our case to leave us in a bad position for upcoming court. Please do yourselves a favor and stay away from them

Steven and his assistant Julia were and are the perfect professionals with the patience and expertise and experience to guide me through my first and hopefully last divorce. I was and am probably their most disorganized client ever and after a 30 relationship ended at total wreck. But there is light at the end of the tunnel and not only did they get me through the darkness but where and still are my most trusted councilors. It’s a tough process and they provide sound advice with positive results. It’s difficult to feel good but they helped to at least make me more financially stable and make sense of the legal process and still
be there as this process and period comes to a conclusion and a new period begins. I’m more the wiser and better educated because of them. I highly recommend them.

Jason Weis represented me in a post-divorce matter to look at spousal support. This case was a bit more complicated and required hiring a couple experts and Jason was awesome throughout everything. The experts he suggested were excellent and really helped our case. He and his whole team were extremely detail oriented, kind and polite to deal with (which makes a HUGE difference to me), and were really thinking about every angle and aspect to make sure we presented the best possible case. In court, I was blown away. It was clear throughout our 3 days in court that he was the better attorney, made sure all our evidence was presented and we got everything in that we thought was important, and always kept a calm and focused demeanor. The case ended up better than I ever could have imagined and am SO thankful that I was able to find Jason. She shared information with my spouses attorney that obviously was shared with him. No client attorney privilege here. Kate is not trustworthy and if she doesn’t like other attractive females should probably avoid taking their cases. As u can see, I’m not the only women who left this sort of review. Stay away from this firm. I think she’s the reason why so many bad reviews now.

I paid him 160.00 for a consultation to handle a divorce. After I explained to him what I wanted to do he accepted and I paid him another 10,000. Jace purposely through my case to protect another attorney. After the hearing I fired him. Jace will initiate a bunch of frivolous phone calls and emails just to bill you. After he was fired he continued to bill me. I’m disabled and have no income and yet he felt the need to extort me. This man is horrible. He figured if I could find a way to pay his initial fees I could find a way to continue to pay him after the fact. Stay away from the horrible man.

This law firm moderately did well for my divorce in 2019 and provided me upfront estimated cost but they failed to provide me accurate legal information. After 5 years, when I went through this law firm again for my spousal support modification due to loss of my job then it seems like they just wanted to take money for no reason and misrepresented me and on top of that threatened me to reduce my spousal support amount if I don't pay to them immediately. I am a single mom and handling all sorts of chores and on top of that my attorney (Chris who has lots of experience) instead of helping me, threatening me and that caused me in tremendous mental stress and I lost my case and lost 15k of lawyer fees. The opposing counsel didn't even respect him and didn't provide their information on time. They harassed me multiple times for sending the same questionnaire and same document request so many times to earn their hourly pay. Really I got traumatized after their really bad service.
