Leslie represented me in a custody/visitation and child support matter that lasted a few years. During those years Leslie was always quick to answer my questions. Mr. Kreitzer was hired by me for what I thought would be a short case. However, it’s lasted over a year (not by any fault of his) due to opposition dragging things on and on. Mr. Kreitzer was patient and kind. Absolutely knowledgeable and does not allow the other side to push you around and gave his best advisement regarding the circumstances every step of the way. I met Chanda after taking divorce classes at the Women's Center and hiring and firing two awful lawyers. The first was dishonest and the second was from a firm that charged a high retainer and exorbitant hourly fees and then took days/weeks to return emails. I ended up paying a lot over three months for them to create one document that went nowhere. They didn't offer wise counsel and just sat on things to get the case to court and squeeze more money from me and other clients. Another victory and an exemplary proof that nothing can beat Ms. Kinsey. My ex-wife who attempted to obtain a restraining order against me based on false allegations, has faced a humiliating defeat, where the court quashed her request citing that the allegations were not 'Credible'. This wouldn't have been possible without Ms. Kinsey's ability to effectively present the case and expose the lies.

My ex-wife tried to play yet another ploy, where she filed 'motion to rehear' to have the court reopen the child custody case citing falsely that she was coerced into signing the child custody documents earlier. I witnessed Ms. Kinsey roared in the court, she fought ferociously and argued so effectively that left all of us in awe. And not to mention we won the case!. Shannon is handling my current divorce. Very patient and understanding, yet gives it to you straight and truthful. Very fair in regards to cost. Has charged 1/3 of my wife's attorney yet has filled me in more and made sure I understand what she is doing for me in trying to move forward. Has recommended actions to me that I have taken and some I have not, but understands why I decided not to without badgering me. I'm no easy client, and I have probably handcuffed her in defending me. But she consults me and gives it to me from both perspectives. I'm so glad I found her services and double glad she accepted me as a client. Her assistant Kaila is a saint as well. I hired Ms. Otto to assist me with my divorce in 2012. She was very easy to work with and did a great job in dealing with my ex husbands attorney. We were able to come to an amicable separation agreement in a very reasonable amount of time which was important to me so that things didn’t get dragged out. I also hired her and her partner Mr. Locke to assist me in another part of my divorce which had to do with my mothers will and again they were nothing but professional and swift in getting that situation wrapped up. I have referred quite a few folks to Ms. Otto including my daughter for a prenuptial agreement. I retained Ms. Shannon Otto and she helped me to file a couple of show cause motions for contempt of court, she also helped me to increase my visitation time, and to update our child support schedule. I am extremely impressed with Ms. Otto. She is very knowledgeable, professional and honest attorney. During the discovery phase she was very thorough and she made me work a lot to compile all the information that could serve as evidence. I really appreciate the way that she represented me in court, in front of the Judge, Ms. Otto was always very well prepared. She focused on the important issues, and she chose her battles wisely. I was locked in a 5 year struggle to get my kids. I had two lawyers before Shannon and lost mostly because I am male. Shannon put together a solid case and never once blew smoke up my butt. She is going to give it straight the whole time. I will tell you she will rip a sole out in court, she smiles and takes care of you so get her before your wife does I don’t want to be sitting on the other side of this woman. Attorney Lemm is like a Venus Fly trap. Pretty flower, but if you land in her trap she will chew you up and spit you out. I retained attorney Lemm a little over a year ago. I was going through a contested divorce and custody battle. I tried playing nice with my ex and attorney Lemm advised me not to, but I didn’t, I didn’t listen. After learning my lesson the hard way, I was drained and exhausted. Attorney Lemm said to me, are you going to let me do my job now? My ex was keeping the kids away from me, threatening my job and livelihood. She said we are going to “TAKE HER DOWN”! Our day in court came. I was blown away by her spark, attitude, and her ability to own the one person who made my life Hell for so long. A person who lied, manipulated, and was pure Evil in my life was getting owned on the stand. It was so bad that I couldn’t look up, because I was grinning so hard. My time, patience, and frustration was all being wiped away with pure satisfaction as she destroyed the person who tried to destroy me. In the end she got me every thing I wanted and needed, but to put the icing on the cake she had all my Court and legal fees paid for that day. I had no idea what she was aiming for, but I’ll say this I’m happy she was representing me. Cause I couldn’t imagine being drilled by her. It was so bad for my ex, that the following week I received an email that my ex wanted to move into finalizing the divorce. It was a win for my whole family. Attorney Lemm and her team are rockstars. Wow! Working with Mrs. Stewart was one of the best investments I've ever made-next to investing in real estate! The service I requested was a contract review and she pretty much dissected the contract and exposed sinister intention. She explained how contracts should be construed in accordance to the locality/state of the party. She offered great advice such as being able to exit a contract under your terms and that it shouldn't be unilateral or in the favor of the other person. There is so much more I could write, but I have to go to bible study now!

I recently needed legal representation for a custody trial and was referred to Christian Lapham. After one conversation with Christian, I was confident that this was the attorney that I wanted to represent me. Christian is passionate about his work, and that became increasingly apparent to me as my trial date approached. Although Christian is a proven litigator, he focuses on finding the best solution for you and your family. He is assertive and will be firm when necessary. Christian Lapham of Bean, Kinney and Korman, was my divorce attorney. He came recommended from our marriage counselor who worked with him on some Divorce Options workshops in Northern Virginia. Christian was an outstanding advocate for me from the beginning of the divorce process to the end (formal decree) and even beyond that. He is organized, smart, tenacious, and perhaps most important to me, a great counselor during a time I needed it most, providing guidance, wisdom and support. I felt he provided excellent value, and that become apparent throughout my divorce proceedings, especially in contrast to my ex’s attorney. He also had an impressive understanding of the Fairfax County court system and was very familiar with its judges and workings. I also want to comment on his character: Christian is fair, honest, and kind – not the attributes you typically associate with a great attorney. I was going through a bad separation/divorce in 2010 and I needed an attorney ASAP. I looked around the internet and posted what I was looking for in an attorney on a website.
Christian immediately emailed me and said he could help me out with my situation. The minute I met him, I knew I hit the lottery with him as my attorney. Christian is such a calming presence and assured me he would take care of my stress and make sure that I would not be bullied by me ex's attorney. Off and on, my divorce and custody battle went on for a few years! Each time, Christian was there and had my back. My Ex's attorney was a very difficult person to deal with and very irrational and emotional at times as well. This behavior allowed my attorney (Christian) to come out with a favorable outcome when it came to my custody issue. His recommendation on having my young son testify in my custody battle was key to me having 50-50 split shared custody. While always calling a child to testify is a calculated risk, Christian felt good about it with the Judge that would oversee the trial. Christian also made excellent choices for me when it came to my divorce. His recommendation on a small buyout of my ex in return for her leaving my retirement alone and forfeiting her ability to ever come back to me for anything in the future was the BEST decision I ever made. I didn't think that at the time, but he assured me it was in my best interest seeing how vindictive my ex is. The end result? Christian was correct!

Mrs. Boone was the only lawyer that listened to the details of my case and was willing to fight for child custody and argue a fault divorce. The other lawyers were more focused on how to divide financial assets. I needed a lawyer that felt I had a case and was willing to work for me, and not just do the easy stuff. Mrs. Boone did an amazing job proving inconsistencies in my ex's depositions, fighting for child custody, and sole use of the marital home during the PL hearing. The two opposing counsels that my ex hired were no match for Mrs. Boone. Although Mrs. Boone tried to avoid going to trial, she had no choice, and she was prepared for war. I was in awe of how well prepared she was in comparison to opposing counsel. I am so thankful to the lawyer that referred me to Mrs. Boone because she was too busy to take my case.
