Nicole and her whole team were professional from the start. I was referred to the firm from a trusted advisor. I had a bad experience with a former attorney and to say they were professional, helpful, and excellent is an understatement. I am a lawyer, though not a divorce lawyer.
When my daughter was a the start of her divorce proceeding, she asked if I knew any lawyer in the field. I spoke with a former colleague, a family lawyer who was about to retire, and she whole-heartedly recommended " a great younger lawyer" she had worked with -- Hayden.
My daughter interviewed and hired him. She was thrilled with him, commenting often on his expertise and, as important, his empathy. He took the time to listen and understand her concerns and problems.
Though she was Hayden's client, several times during her proceeding she asked Hayden to talk with me so I could provide my views to her. He was great from this fellow lawyer's perspective. His explanations were clear, very helpful and concise. (There are few things I hate more than a rambling lawyer who runs up the cost meter).
My daughter's proceeding ended very successfully a few weeks ago. I share her views that Hayden very effectively represented her interests and secured the best possible settlement. I will be forever grateful for his excellent representation of "my little girl."

Very disappointed in Mr Barlow and his handling of my daughters case - he was good as long as he was with the judge he wanted but when he was moved to another judge he sat like a bump on a log and did nothing - he did no defense or challenged the prosecutor in any way - he told me later that the outcome would have been totally different if the case had not been moved which I believe was done intentionally as this case had to do with drug court -which all this will hopefully be exposed soon- my daughter talked to several lawyers before choosing Mr Barlow who bragged on himself and took our money but then failed horribly in the court room - I do not even want yo give 1 star to be honest!

I received a ticket for an accident that was my fault. A friend recommended that I contact Mr. Barlow. I dealt with his para legal Miss Whitmore who walked me through the entire process, she explained whar would be needed and the time frames. I was kept up to date on any changes. she was very friendly and pleasant ,answered all of my questions and messages in a very timely manner. We went to court and my case was dismissed. The judge made a comment that all documentation and driving course that she would have recommended had been completed. I believe this was all due to the guidance of Mr. Barlow And Miss Whitmore. Their expertise and knowledge Made the entire process smooth. This outcome means my driving record.Will show the ticket was dismissed and also my insurance did not go up due to the driving course which they had advised me to do. David Bice and his legal team were invaluable in a complicated legal case surrounding my daughter. His years of experience practicing family law proved to be just what was needed to ease some of the stress. Mr. Bice was the first lawyer in Lynchburg that talked to us before taking money in advance. He shows professionalism in his work and demonstrated empathy to our specific situation.
DJ, who handles all the communication became a close friend throughout our many interactions. She cares about you personally and engages in such a caring way. Bice and his team would consistency respond within an hour or at least within the same business day.
You truly do you get what you pay for and Bice and his team are worth every penny. He always seemed one step ahead of our opposing lawyer. And that brought confidence that he would work hard for the best outcome for both us and other clients.

David worked with me in a collaborative procedure against a team (ex+attorney) who did not play by the rules and in fact were threatening and manipulative and didn't keep to their agreements. After the dust cleared, I did end up getting stuck with support payments, but there was at least an endpoint. David did acknowledge after the fact, when he began to hear more reports about my ex's lawyer, that if he'd been more aware of his reputation as not working in the spirit of Collaborative Procedure, he never would have advised me to go in that direction. The only problem with our arrangement was that David's office is not in the same city. Since I'd never been divorced before, it didn't occur to me that I'd have to pay for the drive to and from the meetings (2 hours billing for each meeting), but that was just my mistake. Overall, David is a good guy and represented me faithfully and with friendship. Divorce is divorce, nobody wins, life goes on.

We hired Mr. Bice to represent us in a difficult custody hearing of our granddaughter. He was very honest in telling us the situation may not go in our favor due to us being grandparents. However, during the process, Mr Bice not only bought out circumstances in our favor but fought for us all the way. He encouraged us to do everything the court requested and he even stayed in contact with DSS and CASA representatives. He attended all meetings with us as our attorney, kept us up-to-date with any changes to the case, and returned phone calls in a prompt manner. The bottom line is that Mr. Bice did get us physical and legal custody of our granddaughter. We cannot begin to thank him for his excellent service during our time of upheaval. His court room demeanor was outstanding and the judge listened to what he presented. Even though there were a few hiccups in the beginning with how some individuals viewed us as the grandparents, Mr. Bice was able to put all their minds to rest and know our granddaughter would be taken care of and loved forever. We would hire Mr. Bice again and I'm sure we will be needing his services in the future. Thank goodness there are lawyers like Mr. Bice that you can count on in difficult situations.

I highly recommend Atty. Taylor and his office. I was charged with doing 91 in a 70 mph zone, so it was a Reckless Driving Speeding Misdemeanor charge. He appeared in court on my behalf and I ended up doing 24 hrs Community Service, completing an 8 hr online Defensive Driving Course, and paying $431 in fines to the court, and my charge was dropped down to an Improper Control/Driving charge, which is an Infraction, not a Misdemeanor. A win in my book.
Regarding Attorney Taylor - he was great from the start. He responded to my call right away and was informative and reassuring. He clearly explained what the penalties and consequences of my charges were and explained what he could do to lessen the charges. I was totally stressed and at a complete loss as to what to do, especially since I lived out of state, and hiring him immediately took all that stress away. He was affordable and his services were worth every penny. His office was wonderful as well. Megan, a Legal Assistant at the office, was very responsive to all my emails, which I really appreciated. Getting through the whole process really would have been impossible without them, especially being out of state. The court appearances were scheduled and then continued 4 times! His Office kept me informed, finally appeared in court for me, and in the end, gave me a letter clearly articulating exactly what I needed to do and by when in order to fulfill the Deferred Disposition and get my charges amended. I can't stress enough how worth it it was hiring them. Thank you Attorney Taylor and staff!!!

This is my second time writing a review for Ms. Virk, the first of which was under the name FDB. After retaining Ms. Virk, she delivered the most favorable outcome that I could imagine. She even directly helped both of my children, writing them letters for school on multiple occasions. She is a very caring lawyer, but more importantly a very caring person. She truly is invested in every one of her clients, and that attitude transcends any work she could do. Not to mention, she does amazing work. I reached out for a consultation in the Morning Mr. Tortolero called me later that same afternoon. He was very friendly and professional but not like a stuffy professional. I was rushing I thought he is not being paid let me get right to it! It was quite the opposite, I felt like I was his client, he was patient, knowledgeable and extremely honest, transparent and supportive as if I was his client. He was like a cheerleader. He shot me down if he thought my suggestion was not going to fly in court he did not sugar coat things, I appreciated that. He was honest about the cost he did not lie and say oh it will only be x amount and I will have this done in no time. Ms. Mroczek is a wonderful attorney. She isn't a surface level attorney, and she dove right into my case, getting to know me and my children right away. She showed that she cared about my situation. One of the things that made me feel the best, was that I didn't have to refresh her memory of my case when I went in for meetings, she remembered every detail. After hiring an attorney I had known for a very long time who almost immediately became ill after taking my case, and then being passed along to another attorney in the same firm who was not providing me with the level of representation I was seeking, I decided to research family law attorney bios and their reviews. I then decided to hire Dale as my advocate after dismissing my former attorney. Dale immediately demonstrated a level of knowledge, capability, and empathy that was unsurpassed. When I first called her office to set up an initial consultation, I was even surprised that she answered her own phone directly. She immediately demonstrated compassion for my situation and moved quickly to take on my high conflict child custody case. She informed me of integral information that I had not received from my previous attorney and she also kept me informed of every action that I had to take, as well as every action she was going to take. She also gave me homework to do, so that she would not have to charge me as much for doing some of the work between herself and her staff, but then she still provided me discounts on my bills. Every time I met with Dale, it was evident to me that she was doing everything within her power to advocate for me. Her understanding of both family law and psychology made her an outstanding attorney who is like no other in her field. Dale is extremely professional, as she is attentive, kind, considerate, and a great listener with amazing ideas. While we unfortunately did not win our case, it was through no fault of hers because I was in a situation where many “cards” were stacked against me from beginning to end, especially a very non-responsive, biased, and unprofessional court appointed Guardian Ad Litem (GAL). While we knew it was going to be an uphill battle all the way, Dale never stopped trying to do her best for me. I gave them 1 star because I called to get my remaining balance to pay off. Their accounting person was awful and rude. She did not know what the fees are being charged for nor the remaining balance that I would had to speak to the lawyer handling the case to get the final balance. That was fine but why be nasty and rude if clients are asking. They really need to train their front office or accounting staff better customer service or how to properly talk to clients better. My husband called a second time and asked to speak to a specific paralegal or lawyer involved in the case to get the final balance and they mistakenly transferred him to this accounting person they had again. She was soo rude and spoke to us both slowly like you are talking to a 1st grader like we did not speak any English. I do not know if it’s because of our last name but we both were born in the states so there was no need to belittle people that are trying to pay off their remaining balance. Makes me think she speaks to all foreigners this way and everybody should be spoken with respect regardless what race, former or current client. We will not be using them ever again for any services knowing they have rude and nasty accounting or front office staff that are not properly trained. I will also be telling others I know about this awful experience.
