My wife and I hired Ms. Schmaltz to assist us with an animal law case. We are dog breeders located in Washington State and one of our puppies was stolen from us and sold to a person in Arizona. Prior to hiring Tiffany Scott to assist with my child custody case, I had a total of 15 consultations with attorneys from all over the valley. I felt confident with my decision to move forward with Tiffany for many reasons. The #1 reason was because I felt she was the most genuine and transparent about my options and possible outcomes, while others pretended they could guarantee the outcomes I wanted, which you find out very quickly into a family law case that it is not possible. At every stage of the process, Tiffany took the time to provide me with every possible scenario so that I could make the decision I felt was best for myself and my son. It was critical to me to always have a realistic picture of what I was getting into and what it meant for my son's future relationship with me and with his father.
Another reason I appreciate working with Tiffany so much is because she immediately provided tips on how to save money on unnecessary attorney costs, such as minimizing emails and phone call costs by asking as many questions as possible at once. As a single mother, saving costs was very important to me and other attorneys I had consultations with suggested to immediately pursue temporary orders, which ultimately would have been a costly and unnecessary step in my case. Additionally, there were not any minimum hours billed for physical court appearances while one attorney I spoke with charged a minimum of 3 hours for court appearances.
A 3rd reason I loved working with Tiffany is because of her timely response to my emails and phone calls; and her clear, detailed and effective communication, which I felt ultimately saved me costs by minimizing back and forth emails or calls.
I could go on for a few more paragraphs on why I will undoubtedly hire Tiffany again and refer Tiffany to anyone looking for a family law attorney.

I was already divorced, but wanted to move out of state to Texas with my 4 year old son. Mike made it possible. He is a bulldog on a case, he was totally willing to go all the way and nothing slipped by him, he made my move happen. My ex husband filed an emergency temporary order the day before I was set to leave Arizona. We had 3 or 4 court appearances both in person and over the phone and every time Mike made sure we came out of it ahead. My ex kept completely ignoring court orders, so we would refile with more changes to the agreement and win. I have been working with Family Law Attorney, Tali Collins, for 2 years, and she is by far the best attorney that I have worked with for ongoing family law litigation. She is very approachable, knows her legal material, is detail- orientated, has an amazing memory, knows lots of helpful resources and her fees are very reasonable.
I have worked with many attorneys who have similar skills, but want you to hire them and are not great with working with the client that wants to self represent. Because I don't have the financial resources for a retainer, Ms. Collins has worked with me in preparing legal documents, preparing for hearings, and organizing and finding exhibits. She knows what individual judges want, so I feel like I am ahead of the game and know what to expect and how to prepare when I go to the hearing.
Recently, Tali Collins helped me prepare for my latest Parenting Time Modification Hearing and I feel more prepared than I did when I hired an attorney to represent me at the last one, and it saved me thousands of dollars. Ms. Collins knows all aspects of family law and I don't think I could have worked with anyone who could prepare me as much as she has.

When my case started, I was in a terrible place. My son was being abused and his father was blocking me from getting him medical care and mental health treatment from my husbands abusive behavior and alcoholism. I had been separated for a long time and filed for divorce once on my own but my husband wouldn’t give me the information I needed to finalize so the case was dismissed. I was hopeless and lost. I talked to Billie and she immediately knew what to do. Using the medical records we got an order of Protection. And emergency orders. Now I could get my son treatment and his dad couldn’t touch him or see him. We used sober link and supervised visits. We worked with a counselor. I got more child support than ever. This was the scariest time in my life and modern law handled it. It wasn’t fast but it was safe and they made it easy. The best part was in trial. You should have seen my ex’s face when Billie was cross examining him. She made him look so bad and exposed him for the jerk he is. I have never felt so protected or understood. My kids and I are doing better than ever. Billie, Jen, Caitlin and everyone at modern law truly changed my life and I and my kids are forever grateful. ❤️❤️❤️

I am at the beginning of a long dreadful and what I felt like was a very complicated case to me. My attorney in just a couple visits and communication has changed my perspective on how I look at this challenging important matter. He let me know that there is an end in sight and my case is very typical and they deal with Similar cases everyday. I realized the reality and simplicity of my situation BECAUSE they took on our family court case. I can't literally wait for this to be put behind us but as my other attorney, Billie T. said that she believed that there is a great chance to have a good resolution. And I have been planning to have her and her law firm and team represent me for five years now. My first consult was after trial. Billie was simply honest with her answer and straight up gave me nothing but legal advice and FACTS. I consulted with several firms and attorneys... none were fit or right for my case because they made my case out to be as if it were impossible. (Which it is and was a high conflict case unfortunately) 2020 AND Finally a light at the end of the tunnel thanks to the Modern Law team I have worked with thus far. I had an extremely complicated case. My kids were visiting ( I had summer visitation) and they reported abuse and neglect to me and their step mom.
