My experience this this company was absolute horrible, I paid $7500 dollars and was told one thing then another , it was very hard to get in contact with ms McKinnon .. she was always busy with another client like I didn't pay my hard earned money she also got mad about me emailing her during certain hours and days if she wasn't at work It was a very unprofessional experience for me and I wouldn't want anyone to ever have to deal with such a lawfirm like this .. I heard sorry from this company more then I heard in my entire life .. I am very unsatisfied and very frustrated with the work they do at this company, people like this have to be stopped from getting over on there clients

I called in about four to five weeks ago and spoke with a Cassandra in reference to the loss of function in my great toe due to a doctors negligence. Cassandra laughed at me when I explained to her my situation, Cassandra also explained to me that it’s “all about money” when it comes to the business. A few days after I posted my review on Google Mr.Malone reached out to me condemning her actions and explaining to me how it works, and essentially it is about the money because it can cost almost 500k to get your case started. After talking with him I removed my review from google because he seemed sincere. However I just want someone to understand for me it’s the principle and not about the money. I sent all my records over to Mr.Malone around 06/04/2024 and sent an email on 06/22/2024 for an update. Mr.Malone informed me that he would look over my files and get back with me in about a week and if he couldnt help he would refer me to someone who possibly would be able to. I have not heard back, and I’m done, basically if you didn’t lose a limb your case will not be taken seriously and the doctor can do anything to you with no consequences. It’s really sad that everytime I’ve needed a workplace enviorment lawyer or a negligence lawyer this is the energy I have gotten. If you only signed up for the more lucrative cases you’re already doing it wrong. I’m just going to leave this firm to itself. I am leaving my review up and cutting contact. Hopefully I can find someone who is willing to do it for the right reasons. This has been very traumatic for me and I just want someone that is doing it for the right reasons.

I hired Harmon subsequent to my father and half siblings handing me a blank unsigned piece of paper that was purportedly my mother's Will. Harmon failed to take any court action when I asked to in my favor and failed to tell me the proper actions etc. to initiate my deceased mother's intentions. I lost big because of Harmon and have zero respect for this man. All Harmon did was send me bills till I could not take it any further. I received no share of multiple properties my mother had promised me my entire life. My situation with Harmon could not have been any worse. For these reasons and many more I highly encourage you NOT to hire this attorney...

I highly recommend Swilling Family Law Firm. I was working with an other attorney before hiring them but I was not pleased with the way the previous attorney was handling my case. She recommended Melody to me and as soon as I had my first zoom interview I knew that she was going to help me to finalize my case. It was a real pleasure working with Melody and her team. Her assistants are very dedicated and always came back pretty quickly to me. Melody is kind and compassionate but very smart, knowledgable and determined at the same time. My case was extraordinarily difficult. It was a terrible divorce, and a horrible custody battle. Originally I thought I was going to represent myself in order to save money. That would have been an huge mistake. Andee was amazing. These women not only kept me sane, but also helped me keep primary custody of my children. Were it not for Andee's expert counsel, I know I would have made errors that would have cost me custody of my children. I know she had other cases and clients, but her and her team always made me feel like my case was important. Andee Hastings is my hero. I want my daughter to be just like her when she grows up. Her and her entire team protected me at every turn and helped my understand every step of the process. I can't recommend Andee and this law firm enough.

Waggoner Hastings represented me in divorce case with complex property division. The attorneys listened and often comforted. They understood and believed a positive result was possible. They fought hard and represented me well. I was always keep appraised of the status of my case and informed on next steps. There is a friendly and personal style with this firm. I never felt like one of a hundred cases, sometimes I felt like mine was the only one. When we did go to court, the other side did not seem prepared at all. We were, and I could tell by the judge’s reaction, that I had made the right choice. My attorney was very prepared and the judge respected that. I was very pleased with the results and I received a fair settlement and the judge ordered the other side to pay my attorney’s fees. I did not know until later, that having a judge make the other side’s attorney pay for attorney’s fees is a real victory! I highly recommend Andee Hastings and Waggoner Hastings Family Law.

Very disappointed! Annie was recommended to me so I checked her out with great reviews. However she definitely let me down...she let me know the DAY OF MEDIATION she had a conflict of interest with the opposite attorney. Very minimal communication. We met 2 times one to do a free consultation and then again to pay her. Little back story I was a stay at home mom for 4 years. The day I hired her I got a job. With that said when mediation came we were so very unprepared! And she forced me to take what was offered. Didn't even met with me before hand! She was not very interested in the case or what I had to say! Not working in 4 years I took on ALL THE RESPONSIBILITIES which is fine but then I had to pay off 2 of his bills for him. Not to mention anything I had to tell her or bring to the table she wanted a paper timeline then would tell me that's not going to work. She was definitely not the attorney she's chalked up to be! Never not once returned my phone calls to the point id sent several emails and wait a week for a response! Don't always go off reviews and word of mouth! Go with your gut!

I brought this firm one of the messiest cases a family attorney could probably imagine. (In fact, two firms turned my case down because they didn’t feel capable of handling all of the moving pieces in my situation. Yes, I was that client who emails/calls several times a week, for months.) Andrew Prater was 100% honest and accurate about his opinions in my case. (Translation? He told me the truth even when it wasn’t what I wanted to hear. Meaning I was genuinely prepared for the issues I was dealing with.) Andrew Prater was 100% professional. If my case wore him out? Rob handled my divorce a few years ago as well as a recent child custody modification. He was prompt, professional, and gave me great advice. Even between cases, Rob graciously answered any questions I had. Each time, we were able to settle out of court which saved me money while still coming to acceptable compromises. He helped make very stressful times easier.

Rob handled my divorce and custody case very effectively. He explained the process to me so that I would have an idea of what steps would be taken and what I should expect, but also prepared me so that I wasn't blindsided when something unplanned happened. Fees were discussed upfront, as were timeframes that were in our control. Rob was very helpful when I needed to make decisions because he could advise me using examples of precedent cases that were similar to my situation but he also listened to all the details in my case to be sure I was represented fairly. I would recommend him highly as legal counsel!!

This law firm is the worst she represented my child father. An helped him avoid taking responsibility for our child. Never showed up to a court date and came up with excuses on why they couldn’t attend. And then claim he never lived in the District which got my case dismissed. Which was not true My child is 7 years and I still don’t have child support as a woman this was heartbreaking.

Avoid this firm. I retained them for three years and it was nothing but performing the bare minimum yet running up a massive bill. There was a revolving door of associate attorneys and staff, none of whom seemed particularly interested in doing their job. I only discovered how poor their legal service was when I switched law firms. My new lawyer was unsurprised and told me they have a horrendous reputation among the legal community.

Meriwhether and Tharp promised me a backbone against a rough divorce and instead had me sacrifice everything instead. They have created utter chaos in my life and do not care, actually told me they do not care. They are inadequate and cannot do there job in any capacity to protect there client, they only care about billing. They do not disclose in there contract that they will put a lien on your house if you do not pay and do it without notifying you of anything or even care if they make it right.

John took my case after I had to fire an incompetent wanna-be lawyer from Monroe Georgia! John got this matter of divorce finalized, in tact and also got me through it. If you want a great divorce lawyer, trust me on this one, hire John Smith. He was fantastic in court and in running a past judge/prosecutor under the table. I loved it! John is the real deal when it comes to a professional lawyer.

Mr. Smith had issues with listening to what I wanted as a client. He literally billed me for a process that I did not agree to (I asked him to look into the issue and would confirm with him whether to proceed). His lack of comprehension as to my dismay further supports my experience that he has issues with listening, comprehension or underlying biases that he himself is unaware of.

Catherine did an excellent job in court under trying circumstances. You will get great service. She listens and gives good advice. She was correct in her predictions of certain outcomes. She will not let you down. I was in fairly bad situation and she was able to turn it around. The deal was phenomenal considering, in fact I got everything I could realistically hope for. I have been nothing but impressed with Ms. Ryan's conduct as an attorney. She took on the case when no one else (qualified) would (due to the work it would entail) and while her prices are high, so too were the prices of all other attorney's interviewed. She took on a case that had been dumped by an earlier attorney and work tirelessly to educate herself on the nuances of it. Ms. Ryan arrived in court and represented the case well, even better than the earlier attorney, who, admittedly, was practicing outside of his wheelhouse. She ensured that we had the best possible outcome that we could have hoped for in that situation, and when the next hearing arose and the results were the opposite, she has not stopped advocating on our behalf. Ms. Ryan is accomplished, tenacious, and honorable (an oftentimes rare quality in this field) attorney. Ms. Ryan does not perceive you merely as a source of income, but as a person and she has always seemed as invested in the outcome of our case as we are, which is the mark of a truly great attorney. Paid $200 for a consultation with Attorney Potter and I’m honestly not sure what I paid for. I gave a detailed description of my case and asked 7 questions to gauge whether I wanted to hire her or not and she just talked in circles for the entire hour. She didn’t answer none of my questions and was very long winded. I will not be hiring this firm bc if she talked for 1 hour about absolutely nothing, I can’t imagine how much my total cost would be at $390 a hour for her to represent me. Honestly, I want a refund. Some of the questions I asked were how long would it take her to get up to speed on my case, has she handled cases like mine and what were the outcomes, what are the possible outcomes of my case, can she identify anything that I can settle on, and how can I avoid future cases. All of her answers were “I don’t know.” I am looking for an attorney with a strategy. If I explain my case in detail, I expect you to be able to provide insights based on your experiences. This was supposed to be legal advice. I want my $200 back.

THIS LAW FIRM DOES NOT FIGHT FOR RIGHTS OF FATHERS--------LOOK FOR A LOCAL LAWYER!! Disappointment is a complete understatement with this law firm and Ms. Dione Potter. This law firm drags out the process and charges for each email and phone call they make while continuing to drag the case out. I truly felt Ms. Potter was working for opposing counsel. Everything opposing counsel wanted she got with NO fight from Ms. Potter. Everything opposing counsel said in court was just allowed to be said about me with not one objection. I lost everything except what the mom allowed me to have....thank goodness she allowed me visitation because honestly if she said "no" to that I would not have gotten that either. I've asked the firm why I did not get anything I asked for and of course they nor she could answer. She truly feels she did a good job........ child supoort increased from $700.00 to 1,130.00 per month absolutely no final decision making for my child, even though I was told I would get some rights, but the mother has all those rights I requested a Guardian ad Litem, I was told I would get it and the judge goes that route. But NO GAL assigned, opposing counsel did not want one she sat and watched as opposing counsel said tons of untruths about me and I got the privilege to pay my ex's lawyer fees So I spent close to $30,000.00 with this firm with nothing to show for it, except for a laywer who thinks she did a good job. They are only good at doing one thing........billing you IF YOU ARE A FATHER FIGHTING FOR RIGHTS.......DO NOT HIRE THIS FIRM

You pay for a consultation 125, then you pay a retainer 1800, then you pay their processing fee (400)…. He called me to set up meeting. Told him I work 3 shift the later the better. How about 3pm? Great I said, whatever works for you. Then he offered 330…. Again whatever works. Called me next day saying he had court on day HE scheduled me, but may be continued…. If continued I wouldn’t hear from him, if not he would call to reschedule. Literally called me the next day to tell me it was continued. So I came into the office concerned that his lack of scheduling abikity was costing me money. His very unprofessional receptionist finally got him to discuss we’re he claims it wasn’t being charged. Had one meeting with the lawyer. Left out of their doubting he could walk and chew gum at the same time. Literally talked in circles the entire time. What a joke. He told me it would cost 50k and I was only going for a contempt accusation. Fired him after first meeting Robert was first name in st Charles location. Paid over 2400 to them, and then I get a bill for another 125. Hired a new lawyer Dodd, she showed up, had it thrown out with most my new retainer refunded. Do not waste your time or money with cordell cordell.

SCAM. I made an initial payment of $4K but changed my mind. 2 months after requesting a refund, the attorney stopped responding to my emails, call are sent to a retro reception desk. They don’t have a functioning office or workers. I JUST NEED MY REFUND!!!

I was being bullied by a lawyer who handled my divorce. He gave up on my case when my money ran out and I lost everything that was important to me (my children). He didn't want a payment plan, just money or nothing. Fast forward three years and I start receiving emails stating i still owe $3000. I kept asking for them to send me an invoice of my bill or something proving that I owed more money. I was harassed by these emails for months and they weighed heavily on me. I reached out on the next door app to get advice from any of my neighbors who had been through a similar situation. Mr. Halberg contacted me and gave me his contact info. After giving him all the details, he handled the situation in a very professional and cordial manner and I haven't heard from the bully lawyer since. Mr. Halberg charged me absolutely nothing to help me out and i am eternally grateful. He is a really good man and a really good human.

I recommend that everyone avoid this attorney at all costs as I believe his performance to be terrible. I initially hired Blake Halberg in 09/16 to modify my divorce decree with the primary goal of downward modification or elimination of alimony and several other modifications such as a more amicable split in transportation of my son between me and my ex-wife. During our initial consultation and Blake Halberg's review of my divorce decree I was assured this would be no problem and very easy to accomplish my stated goals. Upon filing the appropriate paperwork with the court and communicating with opposing counsel I was advised by Blake Halberg in 04/17 that the "lump sum" type of alimony awarded to my ex-wife is non-modifiable under Georgia law. This key fact was never communicated to me at any time by Blake Halberg and I now I have absolutely nothing to show for the $6,000.00 paid to attorney Blake Halberg for his services in addition to $2200.00 more I have been billed but am refusing to pay. Upon learning of his failure to achieve my stated goals I immediately terminated attorney Blake Halberg and have retained a different attorney which has only just now been resolved in April of 2018.

Well I brought my case to Mr. Phillips …and was honest and straight to the point. He gave me advice on how this case was going to turn out and it did. So I would recommend him if you wanting someone who’s has the knowledge and experience.

Mrs. Sellers started as a wonderful guardian al litem in my custody battle. I paid her retainer fee as well as for 10 hours of her rate ahead of time. She quickly turns into a woman who clearly thinks very highly of herself and does not take accurate notes. I won custody of my daughter with very little help from her office. She takes notes, but for some reason her notes do not match what you tell her. She has a slow response time and only remembers what she chooses. Poor communication and a poor memory did not help my case's speed. Shed drug everything out and did not return the excess money I paid her. I would not recommend using her office.
