Ken is a great lawyer. He helped both my wife and I with legal issues and divorces which required quite some work. He helped us keep it simple and kept everything straightforward. If I had questions, he would answer them and helped me keep my sanity with all of the issues, work, and personal things going on in and out of court it helped very much. Attorney Richard R. Rodriguez is an experienced attorney. For my foreclosure defense case, he covers every perspective and does not give up. He researches laws and writes smart briefs and argues well. It has been years. He is ethical. He protects my rights. He is well respected in courts, too. He cares about his clients and provides comprehensive advice. I have had him for years. He is very reliable. He is a nice person, as well. He is very smart and thinks and analyzes well. Being an experienced attorney, his memorandum submitted to court is tailored to my situation. Hire him. You will not be disappointed. When my ideas and thoughts are not always correct, he politely but being straight to explain to me where I was wrong. He does not impose his will on me and always explains why he suggests and takes certain actions. When I had problems in other areas of my life, he offers advice with reasonable charges. I cannot say enough good about him. This is an ethical and competent attorney.

I hired Dane Loizzo as my third attorney during my divorce case. Within just three weeks, Dane racked up over $7,000 in charges, many of which appeared inflated, before withdrawing from my case without achieving any meaningful progress.
Dane’s father, Tom Loizzo, is a well-regarded attorney with a strong reputation, and my mother has worked with Tom for decades. However, my experience with Dane was entirely different. He failed to provide value, transparency, or support. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Dane Loizzo for any divorce-related matters.

I felt as though I was already at a disadvantage being male in DuPage and seeking as much time as possible with my daughter. My ex wanted to fight over every little thing possible. After 6.5 years and several lawyers later, by the grace of God, I found Katie.
Katie turned the entire case around and it was resolved in 18 months. Katie diligently reviewed the case file and had my ex figured out. She always responded to my calls and emails in a very timely manner. She was well prepared for all of our hearings. My case was a mess filled with drama and I don't know what I would have done without Katie. Thank you for everything!

Be cautious before working with this company. They may say whatever is necessary to sign you as a client, but once you’re on board, they seem to lose interest. I experienced a complete lack of follow-up for 40 days and was met with unprofessional and rude behavior when I called for an update. Cindy, in particular, accused me of calling too often and being angry, despite my reasonable attempts to get an update. This was one of the most unpleasant customer service experiences I’ve ever had.

Tricia Goostree is awesome. I’ve been through 2 other attorneys and they were not nearly as diligent as her. She knows what she’s doing. The only mistake was not having her through my entire divorce process. She’s helping in the aftermath of a 3 year divorce. I do not think the other attorney’s believed what I told them about my ex husband but as time passed, he showed his true colors. Now everything I should have received in the divorce proceedings such as sole custody has finally happened. She’s helping change things in the divorce decree that never should have been there. I trust her and her expertise in the law.

Mr. Palmisano retired due to health reasons. The other attorneys left and set up shop in Orland Park. The Suite 63 is now owned and occupied by FWM Beauty. It has been so for at least 6 months. It is easy to verify this just type FWM Beauty and see the address is the same as the Palmisano Law Group old address.

Don't Hire Them! I hired Jennifer Clancy for a child support case. They told me what I wanted to hear and got my retainer. After my initial consultation that I assumed was free, they charged over $600 from my retainer. After I questioned that they knocked it down in half but it should still have been no charge IMO. Had to stay on her to keep the case moving. Fast forward to the hearing date Jennifer had NO argument for the judge to consider modifying my child support. No cited case law, no plan, and no reason to tell the judge why it should be changed. Even the judge was waiting for her legal argument but she did not prepare anything. Just kept repeating, "my client shouldn't have to pay!" BUT wait there's more!! 9 DAYS after I lost the case I got served with a notice they were suing me for an additional $1,800 I owed them. (Gave them $3,500 to start) This was the balance of the bill I owed them after court. I never got any bill!!! No call to me, no email, and no letter stating I had a balance to settle. Just a court date subpoena. It was the most unprofessional way to do business. They had all my contact information and could have called. Unfortunately I just paid the bill to be done with her and not go to court. Read all the other reviews too and then find a real lawyer.
March 2022 update: In response to Jennifer's reply below, I call BS. They claim in their reply "Mr. Naughton agreed to an unusual provision in his Judgment for Dissolution of Marriage..." as a reason the case wasn't won. It is true I agreed to an unusual provision BUT this was the SOLE REASON I wanted to modify my child support. Jennifer and Jim assured me this was a winnable case and "no problem" to get my child support modified. That statement was the reason I hired them!! SMH. I do agree any case can be lost no matter how strong it seems. Notice they didn't address the portion of my review where 9 days after the case concluded they filed a suit against me their client. I never got a final bill at all. Jennifer knew my phone number and email when corresponding about the case but decided to just take me to court to pay the balance owed.
So Jennifer (who had NO case law to bring to the judge) in the future, don't lie about your chances to win a case and STOP serving your clients with law suites when they owe you money. Send them a final bill. Please hire anyone besides Palmisano if you want a chance. I am to blame for hiring Jennifer!

I had a very disappointing experience with Bonnie Varner. From the start, communication was a major issue. Emails and phone calls often went unanswered, and when I did hear back, the responses were vague and unhelpful. It felt like I had to chase them down just to get basic updates on my case.
On top of that, their lack of preparation was evident. During important meetings and hearings, Bonnie seemed disorganized and unfamiliar with key details of my case. This lack of attention to detail caused caused me suing someone who is essentially judgement-proof and cost my company $17,000. Now I'm spending more money out of my pocket to get that $17,000. Basically, the defendant has outsmarted her.
Overall, I regret choosing Bonnie and would not recommend their services to anyone looking for competent, attentive representation.

I was involved in a lengthy divorce which ended up with me no longer able to trust my own lawyer. Data that I had asked for repeatedly never turned up, my lawyer knew the opposing counsel personally, and talked about it often, and even knew the new woman my husband was seeing. Too close a circle. I asked my friend who was high up in HR in a large downtown corporation for help as I didn't trust the numbers, and she sent me to an eminent accounting firm for an opinion in determining whether or not I should hire a separate outside forensic accountant for my divorce case, as again I no longer trusted that my own lawyer was truly acting in my own best interest. Well, this firm advised me instead to first consider a young attorney just setting up his practice (this was about 7-8 years ago), who had worked for an aggressive firm and succeeded against some well known and tough lawyers. He was described as "having one of the best legal minds around, hands down." And so, my association with Andy began. He was easy to talk to and empathetic, but professional at all times. He was a wealth of knowledge, and knew the law exactly. He understood the broader picture, yet also knew how to focus in on what was most important for the long term. And the case was successful in my favor. Without his expertise, I felt that major points were being missed. Best of all, he was extraordinarily fair in his pricing (I had gotten used to grossly overpaying for poor services), and was so very very patient when it took me awhile to fully repay him. I feel he knows what he is doing, and has an honest heart - very, very hard to find in divorce attorneys.

I retained Andy to represent me in Feb of 2016. At my initial meeting with Andy I felt comfortable that what he told me was the right direction of the dissolution and trusted in his support. I expressed first and foremost importance was the wellbeing of my son, after we were displaced by my ex. There was initially temporary relief after his first motion for support. However after that, the case lulled along, motion after motion were filed after numerous orders were not followed by my ex husband and his high profile attorney dictated the tone of the finality of the case. My ex husband continually stalled the case by not producing what he was told to produce order after order, even after numerous follow up emails and requests I had made. I was denied access to get back into the marital residence for my personal belongings since we were displaced almost 3 years ago. I was shut out my 410k without access to trade within despite numerous emails to my attorneys and the United States Department of Employment Security. Every single marital asset was in my ex's control, except the car I left with. Again, yes there were points of minimal relief, however my credit suffered tremendously.
I was rationed back a small portion of martial money to pay my and my sons medical bills, two months before the divorce was final. I followed every order, every request for information, all discovery requests, my deposition, as well as court dates and meetings with the GAL. It took over 2 years to get a parenting plan in place, after meditation , failure to come to the minimal consensus with the other party.
There was never an urgency for the wellbeing of my son, after this was expressed to exhaustion, it lulled . It was always the wait and see approach, I expressed my concerns about the final settlement and parenting plan, in my opinion they were taken lightly , It was the "best I was going to do” and "that's a reasonable amount of time for them to propose given the circumstances of your case”. After expressing my concerns regarding the final settlement, I was left playing go fetch with my settlement and discovering now the aftermath of not only the the tax ramifications, but they also took my ex husbands word regarding utilities, taxes, leases and association fees being “up to date” when some were months and years delinquent. There were many instances I felt I was not in control of the outcome after serious expression to both my attorneys. In my opinion, your lawyer should have an overall direct plan for your case not a wait and see approach. If there is any component of mental and financial abuse in your relationship with your ex, they should also be verse in representing that type of client. Not allowing an opposing council to speak to their client in a derogatory way as they wait for the prove up. I understand there is a non emotional component of the representation, but there should be a highly regarded component of fiduciary responsibility that should be addressed not disregarded after expressing that on multiple occasions. My ex husband was able dissipate marital funds through the entire divorce, make unilateral decisions regarding our marital properties- and he was also able to pay his attorney fees out of the marital assets. I never questioned their professional opinions or billable hours , the future of the dissolution was entrusted in their hands. However toward the end I asked Andy and his team to review the invoices where I was charged over 14k a month for numerous months. I saw a more intensity of attention to my case when the final bill was in question than when I was in need of emergency funds to pay my rent in the middle of the divorce.

I too hired Minton based on his former reputation for being an advocate of a woman’s contribution to the marriage. He may have been good long ago but now e-mails and questions go unanswered…lots of last minute work and deadlines are nearly missed…he is not a fan of settling and would rather fight every controversy…that’s what is best for his bottom line. HIs invoices are sky high and the results are underwhelming. I think you can do much better elsewhere and avoid the frustration by researching through AVVO. There are some great attorneys out there. Don’t go on past reputation or personal referrals. Just do your homework with the AVVO ratings and you’ll do ok. If you do find a good one...come back and rate them here so others can find them too. I wish you luck.

Nicole was a pro at helping me deal with tricky situations with my ex-spouse. Plus, there was a very time-sensitive issue with a home refinance, and she negotiated on my behalf to ensure I was able to get a fair financial settlement and keep my business. Very impressed.
There is no way I would have been able to get through this process by myself. I needed an attorney who was adept at dealing with high-conflict personalities, and she knew all the games my ex and opposing counsel were playing. I think when they’re good, they can be good. However, it’s been my experience that unfortunately, you will be left high and dry during active court proceedings and left in the lurch. I unfortunately cannot recommend this location because of it. It’s unfortunate and i hate to leave any review that doesn’t help build someone or some business up but this is far more important than my morals. Don’t take the work on if you can’t get a judgement or resolve. It’s that simple. I would hate to work that way….
I met a random person this week. Last name Diehl. I have never spoke to, never met, or could not pick out in a lineup. He has said the very exact same thing that he paid thousands of dollars to get a bunch of unresolve, and then had his legal counsel remove themselves from the case for personal reasons. Left in the lurch without counsel. 15,000$ to collect 5000$ seems out of line unless that was the plan and i assume it wasn’t based on his testimony. Also the 5 collected happened after he hired new counsel…. To finish what was started. There needs to be accountability. Fair ?
So the 2 star… i believe the business should be shut down and authorities called if it’s a one star business still having open doors. So they don’t deserve 1. 2-3 is a strong needs work but a bad experience for sure.

Michael is a great attorney. He did my divorce, which was very difficult due to the ex-husband's wealthy family fighting against me. He took them on with grace and knowledge. Since my ex-husband comes from a wealthy family, he went after me for maintenance support because he ran his company into the ground. I didn't want a dime from his wealthy family, but he wanted everything, including to kick me out of my very own house that I worked my entire life to buy. He even paid off a corrupt appraiser and a realtor agent who appraised my home at $100K over the market value. This divorce has nearly cost me my health, but Michael not only stood by me the entire 18 months of my divorce but was very understanding and answered all my panicky calls every time. At the end of the day, he got me what I wanted, and I have since recommended him to my friends, who were also happy with his services. I cannot recommend Michael enough, especially if you are a woman fighting your ex-husband for divorce or child custody. He will do everything the legal system allows him to get you the best outcome. You cannot find a more knowledgeable attorney in the area.

I hired Juli for a divorce from a 9 year marriage. The divorce was horrible, my ex was completely unreasonable, and the whole process was incredibly complicated with kids, custody and supervision issues, and financial problems. Juli was always available to answer my questions, and was super knowledgeable. She was up front and honest about prospects, and not afraid to tell me what I wanted or was doing was unrealistic or damaging to the case. She also was very personable. You could really tell that she cared on a personal level about my situation and the kids and myself.

I was referred to Juli’s office by close family friends. The initial consultation was great and for the most part most things went smoothly. However upon receiving my final invoice I was charged for multiple things that made no sense. Most charges had full descriptions than slide in there would be “case work”. I was also charged juli’s full rate for the day of court when one of the new attorneys actually presented my case because she was “learning”. I also should mention They attempted to charge me for this new attorney to review my case prior to court! My final bill would have been almost $1500 more than my initial retainer had I not fought it for a divorce that was incredibly open and shut. I could see her being helpful with more complicated divorces as she is an intelligent lawyer but in my case my experience was terrible.

Juli is an exceptional person and one of the most experienced and effective family lawyers in the state. She has assisted me in a post-decree matter several times over the course of 12 years. Each time, she took the time to truly understand the issue, she paid attention to what I, the client, wanted, and she was terrific about keeping me up to speed about what was happening in court. Her firm is amazing and the paralegals and support staff there make it a priority to keep clients connected. There is no one else in the state that I would recommend for family law issues. He made promise of child support order within 2 months of filing divorce-during consultation. He said” I’ll give you a deal” 13 months later- a young woman and her children have struggled and suffered -financially, physically and mentally at the hands of this completely unprofessional beast. From his lack of professionalism - to his down right dirty demeanor. He promised child support on 4 occasions - trips to court- never produced anything. He did absolutely nothing but double his bill!! He should be disbarred!! He doesn’t show up for court- his client does- he’s embarrassed because he was trying to pull a fast one on the judge and other party- so he calls up this young lady - screams at her for 10 minutes- gets on a zoom call- sets her for trial and then files a motion to withdraw. Who does that? He charged her a ton of money and 13 months later- still at square 1 nothing accomplished- absolutely nothing accomplished- and he jumps ship. Possibly he didn’t like the question “ what have you done for me?” This horrible individual treats some of his clients as if they are insignificant in this world- why does he think he can do that?? Because he’s been doing it for a very long time and getting away with it . No more !

I wouldn't recommend Mr. King to anyone. He never met with me in person but only talked to me on the phone which is weird. He filed my case in the wrong court and once sent me a wrong document to sign because as he said it many times "would lose his head had it not been attached." My case was pretty amicable from the start, and we could have settled in a reasonable time, but I have a feeling Mr. King was stringing me along to get more money out of me. He went to court multiple times and never called me to update me on what was going on. It seems like he never did anything to be proactive until I picked up the phone and talked to him. Then you would get charged for the phone call as well for reminding him to do something that he should have known he had to do.

I hired Matthew King for what I hoped would be a short case of father trying to re-open entire parenting agreement. 2 years later it finally settled after what turned into a contentious battle with an unrealistic opposing side. Needless to say Mr King was amazing the entire time! So grateful I found him on a whim and gave him a shot. He holds his composure constantly under pressure and in the end it always did us well. Contacted Sorling Northrup when our estate lawyer retired in the middle of our messed up farm trust problems. They took our business and ran with it helping us maximize our inheritance. Their advise was timely and spot on. When we did not understand something, it was explained and we were always treated with respect. David Rolf took over our case when Ama moved to a different job. Both were wonderful and handled dealing with vile people with professional demeaners. We would use them again in the future in a heartbeat, but hope we never need to again. I think when they’re good, they can be good. However, it’s been my experience that unfortunately, you will be left high and dry during active court proceedings and left in the lurch. I unfortunately cannot recommend this location because of it. It’s unfortunate and i hate to leave any review that doesn’t help build someone or some business up but this is far more important than my morals. Don’t take the work on if you can’t get a judgement or resolve. It’s that simple. I would hate to work that way….
I met a random person this week. Last name Diehl. I have never spoke to, never met, or could not pick out in a lineup. He has said the very exact same thing that he paid thousands of dollars to get a bunch of unresolve, and then had his legal counsel remove themselves from the case for personal reasons. Left in the lurch without counsel. 15,000$ to collect 5000$ seems out of line unless that was the plan and i assume it wasn’t based on his testimony. Also the 5 collected happened after he hired new counsel…. To finish what was started. There needs to be accountability. Fair ?
So the 2 star… i believe the business should be shut down and authorities called if it’s a one star business still having open doors. So they don’t deserve 1. 2-3 is a strong needs work but a bad experience for sure.
