When I entered this battle with my sons father I knew that I needed someone that I could trust and rely on. A friend referred me to Debbie because she did such a great job with her case. I met with her and felt how passionate she was towards the best interest of the children, in these cases. It made me feel secure in hiring her. Debbie has been my attorney for over a year and not once has it taken her more then 2 hours to respond to an issue that was at hand, another attribute of her practice that made me feel secure. I am extremely pleased with the outcome of my situation. Debbie makes her self available whenever needed including last minute. When it comes down to my son, I will do everything to protect him. Debbie has also made it extremely clear that she is there for the best interest of the child and will defend my son the same as I would. I greatly appreciate having her as my attorney and have referred her to friends that have needed counsel, due to her passion for justice.

I'm a former client of this attorney. I hired her after i had a very bad experience with another attorney. Attorney Kimmelman is extremely knowledgeable and competent. She fights for every client and every issue. I had the best possible experience with her. She was proactive and was able to predict every step of the opposite side. She is available 24/7 and never suggests unnecessary motions or steps to bill extra fees. BTW, she is extremely generous with her fees and very honest. NEVER will suggest something that makes no sense. My divorce was very difficult and I had to continue professional relationships with this attorney for another two years after the date of the divorce. The results exceeded all possible expectations. I will provide few fact which speak volumes about professionalism of this attorney, During 2.5 years of this nightmare called divorce the opposite side did not win a single motion. When my divorce was finally over, my ex husband recommended my attorney ( not his) to his colleague/friend, which attests the best to the professionalism and personal skills of Debra Kimmelman. I would not ask for a better divorce attorney.

I was involved in a car accident and my car was deemed a total loss. I had many issues getting in contact with the insurance company of the individual who hit my car, and when in contact with them, I was left with no answers. I was feeling hopeless, and this was my first time having to deal with anything like this, so I was a bit nervous; but then I reached out to Steve, and him and his team made this whole process seamless. They were in communication with me, making sure I was in the loop at all times, they addressed any questions I had promptly and thoroughly, and most importantly, they made sure I was compensated for my loss. I reached out to other attorneys who didn’t take my legal issues seriously, disregarded my legal concerns, and did not want to take the time to even seriously consider my case.
Then I called Steve and he gave me hope in my case and he was caring, charismatic, and a down to earth, but also a fierce and brilliant attorney.
His team and his legal secretary, Carol were extremely helpful, she always communicated with me and kept me up to date moment by moment on my case.
Their office is professional, courteous, and I highly recommend Steve and his team at Mevorah and Giglio law offices. They also had a Spanish speaking attorney named Jose Gallardo who helped me with my case as well and he was excellent.

When my estranged father died, I didn't know where to start because, unbeknownst to me, his will documents had been removed from the house. Christine answered my call and spoke with me about possible next actions. Once his will was returned and placed where it could be easily found, I followed up with Christine and she spoke with me again as to next steps. Christine would be my first choice through the legal process if there had been any further legal action needed from me.

Christine was recommended by Child and Family services after I got myself in a bind by firing my previous lawyer and stood trial alone against a notorious criminal/family/divorce lawyer in Madison County. After almost five years of deliberations and continuances by my ex-husband's lawyer, she won my case. She is honest and friendly unlike most lawyers Ive come across. I highly recommend her. Meticulous record keeping and runs her office/billing herself so there is no run around and when you call, you speak directly to her.

Have used Ray two different times. I swore after the first time that I would never use again, but after several years...I guess I thought possibly he had gotten better. He never follows up, responds, or thinks pro-actively for your case. I also was told the same excuse as previous reviewer, that somebody in his family had “an emergency” which is why he couldn’t respond for over a week. You will manage your own case. He is poor to fair at best.

Ben was a lawyer for my 29yr old son. Ben helped with getting parental visitation situated and pointed out " the law " to the Mother.
After my son not seeing his daughter for 7 1/2 weeks, Ben made it happen. Ben is personable,honest and will give you facts...

I had a very disappointing experience with Bonnie Varner. From the start, communication was a major issue. Emails and phone calls often went unanswered, and when I did hear back, the responses were vague and unhelpful. It felt like I had to chase them down just to get basic updates on my case.
On top of that, their lack of preparation was evident. During important meetings and hearings, Bonnie seemed disorganized and unfamiliar with key details of my case. This lack of attention to detail caused caused me suing someone who is essentially judgement-proof and cost my company $17,000. Now I'm spending more money out of my pocket to get that $17,000. Basically, the defendant has outsmarted her.
Overall, I regret choosing Bonnie and would not recommend their services to anyone looking for competent, attentive representation.

Ben is a lawyer who takes an extra step to truly show you he cares when going through such a difficult time in court fighting for the rights to see your child. I cannot say enough good about hiring him as our lawyer, he was responsive, honest and caring about my legal situation. My original lawyer who wrote my parenting agreement decided to move away from family law. When my child’s father stopped paying child support, I needed to find another lawyer. I looked to another attorney that I trusted for some advice, and she recommended Simul. I was not disappointed. In the first conversation, she was direct with me (unlike the lawyers you sometimes meet that talk in circles).
Ms. Jhaveri is an incredible attorney who puts the child first. Ms. Jhaveri is empathetic, but she is not a pushover. She gets the job done and in a timely and efficient way with lots of integrity (looping in the law to back up her approach). I like that she doesn’t treat each scenario as one size fits all. I really trust her and would recommend her to my closest friends and family. If you’re looking for an attorney that is a good mix of straight forward and kind, consider reaching out to Ms. Jhaveri.

$3,500 dollars down the drain from a lack of communication, false promises, and excuses of why it took 4.5 months to write a motion/petition to modify parental allocation which oddly referred to me as the mother (she/her) in the language. I switched counsel because of no movement and had $200 left from my retainer which was never reimbursed even after calling the firm’s office asking for payment. Moreover, she was unprepared for court and got talked over by the other party’s lawyer. I got the results I was looking for elsewhere.

If I could give zero or even negative stars I would. She ignored about 98% of my phone calls, emails & texts. She made agreements/arrangements with the opposing council, without my knowledge. Then signed an order on my behalf to an order I didn't agree to, nor did I have any say in.

After my initial consult I thought she seemed great and wanted to hire her for my case, but she never called or emailed me back for the retainer. I called several times, left messages and even talked to the paralegal who assured me every time that she would call me back. In the end, I'm very glad I never hired her. If she can't even manage to call me back to take my money, she probably couldn't handle anything else.

VERY DISAPPOINTING! I came in the office for a consult and after discussing, I felt I was in good hands. He promised that he would not charge that much, if any, than the last lawyer (and the last lawyer was very reasonable but limited). I asked 2 very simple questions that would not have taken WEEKS to answer; excuses were he has lengthy trails and would get back to me as soon as possible. He did after several follow-ups to get answers. He then gives me responses to my questions that I could have gotten from a person off the street! And recommendations??!! I'm not a lawyer but I made more sense!! Staff calls me and tells me things I knew already and told her that was not the question! Again, more waiting time! When I made appts to see him, I felt that I was putting him to sleep! I was asked if I received the invoice- of course not! When I came in for a final appt. I was told what the balance was and nearly fell off my chair!! For 2 questions???!! As a "client" who felt that he did not do justice, perform his lawyer duties, and abide to the professional mission and promise of a lawyer- I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Read all the low rate reviews as we all have something in common- being taken! John. I hope you do keep up with the reviews because you can't "hide" behind "you are a Christian"!

Did not fully divulge information to the court on a regular basis. Did not fully investigate the homeostasis of the children. Filed paperwork with opposing litigation's address as Maureen's client's address to try to stir up more litigation. Just seeks to get money from any parent in the case who has income and is forced to pay. One of the worst if not the worst attorney I have ever experienced. Worst enough to not even bee called an attorney and should be investigated by the Illinois State BAR.

Zero stars. Kasper made little progress on the case, then sued me for $8000 which he is no way deserves. I am a single mother with my house going into foreclosure and no way to pay him. Lucinda was a lawyer on my family case for awhile. While meeting with her multiple times, she couldn’t remember things such as certain things about my case I NEEDED. Won’t answer phone calls or communicate with you unless it’s to get paid. She made me late for my last court appearance, did not give me any info and did not show up on top of that, and then told me she was backing out of my case and is not employed at her old law office. Instead of communicating with me, sending me everything she has on my case, finding my other lawyers or giving me some sort of refund, she has chose to constantly ignore me which has delayed the results of my case. She will talk intelligently to real you in but please get multiple opinions. I wasted money on something I could have easily done myself with the help of the court librarian. This is the same lady that would be getting ready for my court date in her office. Professionalism in this type of industry is a must and you won’t find it here. Spend the money to get a consultation from somewhere else and get multiple opinions. Lucinda, I am still very upset at how inappropriately you handled my court case, and have given you multiple chances to fix your wrongs, I hope others see this post and hear my warning do not go with her!

My experience with Attorney Curtis Ross was nothing short of a nightmare. From the outset, he displayed a level of rudeness and disrespect that was utterly appalling. When I sought clarification on certain legal matters, he dismissed my concerns with the utmost arrogance, labeling my questions as "idiotic."
Instead of fulfilling his role as a legal advocate, he left me to fend for myself in court, all the while painting a false picture of me as argumentative. His complete lack of support and guidance was both shocking and deeply disappointing.
Save yourself the headache and avoid hiring Curtis Ross at all costs. He is an utter disgrace to the legal profession and will leave you high and dry when you need support the most.

Robert Steele has already sued me once for 7,000 of unpaid medical bills. He is now going after my boyfriend for a hospital bill from 2011. The hospital is closed and the bill is over 10 years old. On top of all this I was diagnosed with breast cancer so my boyfriend is the only one getting a paycheck right now. . He makes just over minimum wage. license or went to jail. He was very affordable. At that time I was not able to afford more.
I also hired him for a chapter 7 Bankruptcy and he did a great job. I paid another $300 bucks
for that.

Being my first offense and had never been in trouble before. Randy Gordon was able to work with the prosecuting attorney and get me probation. Late in life trouble and lessons learned. Mrs. Dennis is the ultimate gaslighter. She never returns calls, files improper paperwork, if she files any at all. She will not fight for you. The other party will do all the talking. And she’ll tell you that’s the best your gonna get. Smack dead in the middle of your case she’ll request more money. She will postpone due to (any ex use she can) everything. She does not have an actual office, and honestly is the most difficult to contact. I truly wish we would have done way more research before hiring this attny. If you’re reading this run!! Do not even think about it. This will be a complete waste of your money and you will end up having to pay another attorney to fix everything she’s messed up.
