Lucinda was a lawyer on my family case for awhile. While meeting with her multiple times, she couldn’t remember things such as certain things about my case I NEEDED. Won’t answer phone calls or communicate with you unless it’s to get paid. She made me late for my last court appearance, did not give me any info and did not show up on top of that, and then told me she was backing out of my case and is not employed at her old law office. Instead of communicating with me, sending me everything she has on my case, finding my other lawyers or giving me some sort of refund, she has chose to constantly ignore me which has delayed the results of my case. She will talk intelligently to real you in but please get multiple opinions. I wasted money on something I could have easily done myself with the help of the court librarian. This is the same lady that would be getting ready for my court date in her office. Professionalism in this type of industry is a must and you won’t find it here. Spend the money to get a consultation from somewhere else and get multiple opinions. Lucinda, I am still very upset at how inappropriately you handled my court case, and have given you multiple chances to fix your wrongs, I hope others see this post and hear my warning do not go with her!

Lucinda is working on my dad case, he is going through a divorce, he lives in Rockford , he is all alone there with no friends or family and right now he is going through a hard time , we all are counting on her to win his case so he can get his life back . I hired Frank to handle my divorce. BIG mistake. We have been going through this process for 10 months and nothing has been resolved. He says my 2500.00 retainer is gone but he will not provide any kind of statement showing how the money was used. Now he has decided to step down and hand this case off to his son Tom. I have never received a statement, never a copy of any motions filed or any orders handed down. No his son wants another large retainer to move forward with the case.Again I have been shone nothing as far as how this case has progressed. If his son is anything like he is I don't want nothing to do with either one of them. I am now being forced to find a new attorney to finish this case. I did not hire his son I hired him. I feel like I have been abandoned during a very difficult time in my life. I would never recommend Frank Valenti to anything, not even to defend a parking ticket.

I have known and used Frank as an attorney for over 20 years. I had him defend me in a criminal case and my divorce. He was always there to answer my questions truthfully and expeditiously. I have read all of his reviews and the bad one is so far from the truth that it must be from the person who Frank was defending against. I have always found him to be responsive to my calls and not someone who was looking for a reason to bill me. If you have any doubts about hiring Frank the next time you are at the courthouse just ask the Deputies or the Clerks about how good an attorney he is and how honest he is. The last think I would say is he isn't retired he is just cutting back on his work load. I saw him last week in Court and called him on the office number to ask a question.

I hired Frank because of a friend’s referral. She told me that he never charged for emails, texts or phone calls. There’s a reason for that: he and his son, Thomas Valenti, aren’t tech savvy or organized enough to bill properly. As a client, I was lucky that they make it to court at all. As my divorce progressed, several major errors were made that were irrevocable. It was obvious that it had been mishandled. I have found both Frank and Thomas Valenti to be highly unethical and the exact type of attorney that someone in a vulnerable position (i.e.: a single mom) should run away from immediately. Communication was horrible, service completely lacking, never got copies of motions or paperwork...simply a joke. Perhaps Frank should stick to criminal law considering he thinks like one. The apple, Thomas, didn’t fall far. They will promise you everything imaginable and not be able to deliver. Doesn’t matter to them as long as there are enough billable hours. Don’t walk, RUN away from the Valenti’s.

Mrs. Dennis is the ultimate gaslighter. She never returns calls, files improper paperwork, if she files any at all. She will not fight for you. The other party will do all the talking. And she’ll tell you that’s the best your gonna get. Smack dead in the middle of your case she’ll request more money. She will postpone due to (any ex use she can) everything. She does not have an actual office, and honestly is the most difficult to contact. I truly wish we would have done way more research before hiring this attny. If you’re reading this run!! Do not even think about it. This will be a complete waste of your money and you will end up having to pay another attorney to fix everything she’s messed up.

Like everyone else is saying just stay clear of these leaches they're not worth the money, get a real lawyer if you need one. If I could give zero or even negative stars I would. She ignored about 98% of my phone calls, emails & texts. She made agreements/arrangements with the opposing council, without my knowledge. Then signed an order on my behalf to an order I didn't agree to, nor did I have any say in.

After my initial consult I thought she seemed great and wanted to hire her for my case, but she never called or emailed me back for the retainer. I called several times, left messages and even talked to the paralegal who assured me every time that she would call me back. In the end, I'm very glad I never hired her. If she can't even manage to call me back to take my money, she probably couldn't handle anything else.

Did what she said she would do. Other reviews obviously think their cases would get settled overnight. Unfortunately, their case is not the only one that this attorney or others have. No family law cases get settled quickly because the courts are backlogged with cases. This was the second time I have used Rebecca and she achieved our desired results. Also, she is reasonable and does not overcharge clients. These people below obviously don't realize that everytime an attorney has to call and talk to you some small detail, they charge you.

Hired this attorney for a child support/alimony case. Took a $2000 retainer telling me that should cover things. Later received a bill for an additional $1300. When I asked what the additional bill was for he quickly sent me a court document threatening a judgment if I didn’t pay. I’m still waiting on clarification from him regarding items that were poorly handled on his end during the case no return call in the last several months guess it’s time to get a new lawyer.

Robert Steele has already sued me once for 7,000 of unpaid medical bills. He is now going after my boyfriend for a hospital bill from 2011. The hospital is closed and the bill is over 10 years old. On top of all this I was diagnosed with breast cancer so my boyfriend is the only one getting a paycheck right now. . He makes just over minimum wage. During the sale of our property the secretary addressed me by two other names which aren't my name- I asked if I was getting e-mails meant for someone else several times. Very unorganized- I asked for documents and saw that info was incorrect from our specific communications. Instruction to pick up the closing check from Crystal Lake ended up getting mailed which we specifically did not want and told them not to do. Calls not returned to explain themselves. Careless. Quote for closing was given by someone else in the office initially and ended up being 2.5 times higher and ended up in a different attorney's case load. This attorney's office was referred to us. Will never use either again.

Outrageous prices and was late to almost every one of my court appearances and still charged me the times he was 15 to 20 mins late. Charged me for a half hour appt. Which was basically him telling stories of other cases he is dealing with and little advice for me. So I pay you to tell stories!? He kept pushing my court date back to try to get the best deal and after 6 months came I got nailed for my dui. All the deals he said he would get ..nothing except for I had to pay hisa ton of money on top of court fees. On top of that he said he could get some wiggle room on the 100 hours of community service I had. I talked to him following when my case was done he said would call right back. Never did and I even left a Voicemail a week later and still no response. He sucks! Biggest waste of money ever, I would have been better off with public defender

I retained Terry for some modifications on my Divorce and parenting agreements. After having dealt with other attorneys who gave me little to no results, I was pleasantly surprised when meeting with Terry. She was respectful and compassionate all while providing the results that I hoped for. From my 1st court date, I received the representation that my children and I deserved. My only regret is that I hadn't found her initially. Terry and Joanne, her assistant were very attentive to detail and always willing to discuss any issues at hand. Terry was very direct and matter of fact, as well as compassionate and understanding. She explained what was happening in a calm, rational manner, so even when my ex and his lawyer were posturing in a threatening manner, she was able to de-escalate the situation. C. Martin gouged me for my money out of my deposit i paid. It was a simple case, i just asked him to look over the proposal and then help me mediate the terms. It was a short process but yet used all of my deposit. Straightup gouged me. Do not go to this guy. I dunno who shaw is, but i would completely avoid hiring any lawyers from this office.

I needed to get custody of my grandkids asap to get them out of a bad situation. My grandson was homeless and his sister was just in a horrible home situation. Nicole Beran explained what would happen and it definitely did. She fought for custody and stood her ground. She told me many times to ignore the threats from my son n law and his Atty, we were gon a get my grandkids and she was right. Nicole was always direct and to the point. She didn't let court drag out or get messy. It was done and over with in a good time manner.

Nicole and the Epstein office were nothing but disappointing. The biggest waste of time and money and in the end, I had to find a new attorney. Nicole would take weeks to months to return emails and calls. I was never informed of upcoming court dates or what happened at each court date that she attended. I was completely clueless about my case. The few occasions I did get in contact with Nicole, she used excuses such as “sorry for the delay in communication, I am extremely busy” or “ I am really working hard on a game plan for your case and will contact you soon”. Nicole has completely failed in serving as an attorney and should have her license in the state of Illinois banned. I have read several reviews now and all seem to be similar to my god awful experience. For the sake of avoiding crippling depression, do not hire this law firm to represent you in any legal matter.

I have met this attorney once with my daughter who has been in an abusive marriage for some time now. He was payed a retainer, but it seems my daughter has done the work. She has had a lot go on since this attorney has been hired and it just seems like nothing can get done. She has called, messaged him and I have also messaged him with no reply back. It seems to me that if it was his daughter he would want something done as I do. This needs to be over. I would not recommend hiring Saleem unless you have the time to wait forever.

Have used Ray two different times. I swore after the first time that I would never use again, but after several years...I guess I thought possibly he had gotten better. He never follows up, responds, or thinks pro-actively for your case. I also was told the same excuse as previous reviewer, that somebody in his family had “an emergency” which is why he couldn’t respond for over a week. You will manage your own case. He is poor to fair at best.

My wife crashed my car on purpose after lying about a pregnancy and he suggested we buy her a new car. I almost had a heart attack thinking my attorney would say this to me. No advocacy. Circumstances of the case also consisted of her obtaining fraudulent credit in my name to gain credit and rack up credit card bills in my name. He also manipulated me in court to give her maintenance payments that were supposedly voluntary to me. I dropped him and hired a different attorney. He owed me a bunch of money from retainer and he consistently blew me off after 25 calls and emails I disputed his charge to my credit card. Within a week he called and offered apology and cited problems with losing a family member. His secretary who took my repeated calls never said he had a family issue, just kept saying he was given the message. He blew me off repeatedly, doesn't care, no compassion, typical.

My experience with Attorney Curtis Ross was nothing short of a nightmare. From the outset, he displayed a level of rudeness and disrespect that was utterly appalling. When I sought clarification on certain legal matters, he dismissed my concerns with the utmost arrogance, labeling my questions as "idiotic."
Instead of fulfilling his role as a legal advocate, he left me to fend for myself in court, all the while painting a false picture of me as argumentative. His complete lack of support and guidance was both shocking and deeply disappointing.
Save yourself the headache and avoid hiring Curtis Ross at all costs. He is an utter disgrace to the legal profession and will leave you high and dry when you need support the most.
