I was facing some legal proceedings regarding my daughter and based off of past experiences with my ex-wife I was rather concerned because things never seem to work out in a father's favor in my expereince. Still, I was determined to ensure my rights were not being abused and that I would get a fair time before the courts. So after consulting with multiple lawyers I decided to retain Matt and I can honestly say it was the best decision I could have made. From our first interaction, Matt was able to put my worrisome mind at ease and explain everything in detail so that I felt good about the direction we were proceeding down. I have never once questioned whether he had my interests in mind, and truly felt for the first time that I had someone who cared about my well being in these matters. He has been great about communicating with me and if there has been any questions for either of us they have been quickly addressed so that we are always on the same page. I was very happy with my experience at FFLS. My now Ex and I went through Mediation with Laura and I was impressed by how simple and logical she made the process. All communications were timely, all instructions were clear and she really helped make what could have been a very difficult situation much easier by being great to work with.
I was so happy with the work she did to help us through the mediation process that I actually went back to the firm to help me with another separate civil matter. Once again, I was extremely satisfied with the representation I received. The case was not an easy one, and it took a lot of communication and coordination, but the quality of the attorneys (I worked with two including Laura) and staff at FFLS lead to a positive outcome.

Going into my domestic violence/divorce case, I knew it was going to be difficult. I am a Father and my daughter wanted to live with me and attend school closer to my home (I wanted to enroll her into private school) so that would mean I would need to become the primary parent of residence. I thought it would be impossible to get that changed because I also have a career as a firefighter so my work schedule rotates and its 24 hour shifts. I contacted Robyn and she was upfront and honest provided me with possible outcomes.
Robyn was outstanding! She had to do the work of two attorneys because the defendants’ attorney would not submit paperwork to the court in a timely manner and that would’ve slowed the process. The case went to trial and having the experienced attorney really showed! I am now the primary parent of residence my daughter and I couldn’t be happier. She always answered my calls, emails and was on time. Both parents were found to be fit by the judge yet a change of custody was still granted in my favor.

I highly recommend Vincent DeLuca as a collaborative divorce attorney. I hired him back in 2010 for a collaborative divorce, and his involvement helped to make it a success. He was already skilled in that area of law, at that time, despite it being new to many people in NJ.
In a collaborative divorce both lawyers become part of the “team”, yet in private they still offer guidance to their clients (that is my take on the process). So I wanted a lawyer who was both a team player and a straight shooter. If I was asking for too much I wanted him to tell me, and if I was not holding a fair line I also wanted to know. Throughout the process he offered that kind of honest guidance to me, and he helped to keep our son’s needs front and center. He also has skills as a mediator, and it was apparent to me that he truly wanted what was best for our son.
Vince is also capable of being assertive and seeing through tactics and posturing. I certainly did not want a typical divorce battle, but I want to be clear that if I had one I also would trust that Vince could help to protect me from those pitfalls. In many ways I feel he offers a great blend of all of those skills and needs. He is caring, experienced, creative and tactful. And above all he earned my trust at a high level. I ended up contacting him three other times, and referring a handful of friends to him. You never expect that when you are married and have children that you will be getting a divorce. I was incredibly fortunate to have Vince as my divorce lawyer. I met Patricia Cistaro when she was a senior associate attorney working for a large family law practice in New Jersey. During my initial consultation with Patricia, she advised me of the requirements to support a viable alimony modification case. I was impressed with her expertise and candidness, so when I felt it was the right time to petition the courts for alimony modification, I sought out Patricia and found that she had started her own practice. I engaged Patricia to represent me in a motion to modify or terminate my alimony obligation due to a significant change in circumstances, my approaching retirement age, and my ex-wife’s suspected cohabitation.
Patricia provided valuable guidance to me with regard to obtaining evidence and providing documentation that I needed to support my case. She communicated with my ex-wife and espoused the benefits of trying to reach an agreement of modification without the necessity of filing a costly motion. Patricia communicated to my ex-wife the date we intended to file a motion with the court if we were unable to negotiate a modification. Just before the expiration of the deadline, my ex-wife gave notice of her imminent marriage and shortly thereafter signed a Consent Order that officially terminated my alimony obligation.
During Patricia’s engagement, I received “big” firm legal expertise and experience, but with a comfortable “small” firm closeness. Hopefully, I will never need to engage the services of a family law attorney again, but if I did, I would hire Patricia Cistaro without reservation.

Carolann Aschoff was my attorney in my recently completed divorce. Although my divorce was extremely amicable and my ex-wife and I had pretty much decided and agreed on everything prior to the papers even being filed I felt the need to have an attorney review our property settlement agreement to ensure that I was protected and I chose Ms. Aschoff. Ms. Aschoff was extremely knowledgeable and ensured that I was protected in all aspects of my divorce. Additionally, she was extremely patient with me regarding all the questions that I had during the process and explained everything to me in a way that was easily understandable while making me feel comfortable with the decisions that I had to make throughout the process.

I came on here 6 months ago confused, hurt, and looking for help when my husband who walked out on us 3 months prior filed for custody of the children. My husband was abusive verbally, emotionally, and physically but I unfortunately had very very little proof. He is extremely narcissistic, and I honestly never thought I could escape him, even after his leaving he continued to haunt me by trying to snatch the kids I worked so hard to protect from him just to hurt me (knowing this is my weak point) to make matter harder, I couldn't file for divorce because of religion, which he knew exactly how to use against me. I am saying all this just to show how completed this case was, but Sarah Jennifer Jacobs (with JacobsBerger in Morristown) was GOD SENT. And that's even an understatement. I came to her with my case and she was extremely understanding, empathetic, and knowledgeable. She took so much time studying my case and religion as to be prepared for this case. She answered emails regularly and promptly herself, even on holidays. Made sure I was comfortable with every step she took, stayed super late to make sure my papers that were submitted were to my liking, and even the day of trial, asked me to do the zoom from her office (so I feel more confident) and offered to get me lunch. She's a true human with a soul and not a money thirsty lawyer that just wanted to prolong my case so she can keep earning. She faced a "NJ top lawyer" that specializes in fathers rights, and she didn't even stand a chance against Sarah. She was strategic, knowledgeable, prepared, and have a hell of an oral argument that made the judge see right through the myriads of lies and fake evidence my husband had against me (because ofcourse he wouldn't settle and wanted to take it to the judge). She was able to capture 17 years worth of incidences in a precise written statement that made me cry reading it, because it was as she lived it with me. can't possibly say enough about this amazing lawyer and human. I honestly hugged her after the trial as if she was my angel that gave my kids back. I promise I am not exaggerating here, if you've even dealt with narcissistic, you know how horrific that experience is, and to have a lawyer that as good as Sarah, made this almost easy.

Samantha did her best to resolve a case involving dealing with very difficult people on the defendant’s side, who were doing everything possible to stall the case by any means necessary. While attorneys on both sides are supposed to work to resolve the problem, this wasn’t the case. Samantha has to do all the work by herself while dealing with terrible people on the defender’s side. She is highly astute, hardworking lawyer at the rise of her carrier and eventually will be running the company she works for now or her own firm.
I only regret that the firm she was working for(even though they warned me that annulment would be much harder to achieve than regular divorce) did not push harder to explain to me that it will cost me x3 - x6 times more if I pursued that option, which I did, and lost a lot of money, just to get a regular divorce at the end anyway because the costs kept rising and I said “enough” when I paid over $30,000 and the case was far from resolved... If I knew that from the very beginning, I would never pursue the annulment scenario and would’ve saved a ton of money by doing simple divorce. But it was in no way Samantha’s fault as “the client is always right” and I did say that I wanted annulment from the very beginning... Again, my only regret is that I wish the firm would try much harder to dissuade me from taking this very expensive route in my case, but since it meant much more money to the firm, I can understand why they did not push hard enough to tell me about much greater costs.
Again, it has nothing to do with the high quality work Samantha did during the case, as she is an excellent lawyer. And if her superiors at the firm, told her not to push hard against me changing to a simpler divorce case instead of annulment, she had to follow the company’s orders. And I give her overall work an excellent rating, as she was kind, professional, supportive, cared about the best outcome of the case for me and accomplished that very best outcome. A+ for Samantha.

My divorce was not an easy one by any means. The other party did not want to be a participate in the process that she initiated, be fair financially, and was in character throughout the two and half yr process. Veronica weeded through this from minute one.
Veronica jumped on board in my case more than halfway through the process from the recommendation of my previous attorney to get my case resolved. There is a reason he recommended her. Veronica was forceful and stern during the negotiations(mediation) with the other party and was always looking out for my best interests financially which included doing everything possible from the first day I spoke to her to avoid trial which is where my case was headed.
