I made an appt for a consultation and prior to coming in I asked several times for an idea of retainer fee. Never asking for an exact amount but a ballpark idea. I had a budget I needed to stay within. I was told it was based on a case to case basis. I didn’t want to waste anyone’s time if I was going to be able to afford it. Again was ignored when I asked. I showed up for the consultation and the retainer agreement was already prepared before even talking to me. So it’s not based on the case. So they wasted their time and mine. Highly disappointed. I asked if I was able to pay a large part of the retainer and pay the rest off in a few weeks. Which I understand they don’t have to do but explaining my situation I was hoping they would work with me. I’m not upset about that I’m aggravated because they know their retainer fee and wasted my time and theirs.

I used Jersey Coast Family Law for my divorce . Let's face it, the circumstances stink. I was often an unstable, weepy mess. Thankfully I was able to rely on this very professional team to redirect me, in order to not totally screw up the rest of my life, financially & professionally. I was referred to Amy Smith by some friends and I have to say that from the time of our initial consultation, I felt that Amy was very professional and caring to my concerns. Everything was filed quickly but they said “the court doesn’t provide updates” many times when asked.
Almost a year into my process, my ex heard from a friend that their divorce was finalized in less than two months and then she tried calling the court to get information, she was then told our divorce was finalized 7 months prior.
I went to court and was able to get the final decree, but still haven’t been notified by my lawyers that I’m divorced…

Not going to lie, they are quick with starting the divorce process but it has been almost 8 months and my divorce still isn't finalized...and I was told my divorce should be finalized from 6-7 months, then they pushed it back and told me it is now 6-8months. What's next, a year? I ask for an update and I get told that they will get back to me and they never get back to me. These reviews did get my hopes up unfortunately. I just want this process over with already.

This is Barbara Shaw. My experience with this particular arbitrator (Mr. Dwyer) was so horrific. My ex-husband had been found to be not credible in a court of New Jersey Family Law, he also had been denied any payment reductions by the Appellate Court, and he was ordered to pay my attorney fees for this action. Following this I agreed to engage in a binding arbitration with my ex-husband.
Mr. Dwyer heard the case.
He had documented not only the wrong testimony but made errors on his final judgment and he had to make adjustments to his judgment, and had the audacity to charge me for his error.
This man is not fair at all and is blatantly in favor of men.
Beware. It took me several years to actually decide to write this review because I was so devastated by my experience.

I just want to say this law firm is nothing short of the most professional set of individuals. I had probably one of the most complex cases administratively and personally in the county that my case was in for family law, and I was with a previous firm that didn't stand a chance with the opposing adversary and when I retained Tony and Francesca, My case turned a whole 180° to make things fair and equitable within under a month from when I was already 3 and 1/2 years in. They are responsive attentive and most importantly compassionate through all steps of your case especially when you're on edge, they truly do know how to take you off the ledge and provide you with knowledgeable facts and not leaving it up to you to the decide. It was only by a stroke of pure networking luck that I was referred to MELD Law. From the first conversation that I had with Steph(anie) Lomurro, my stress level dropped immediately, and my peace of mind was restored. I cannot express how thankful I am for her counsel and guidance throughout the entire divorce process. my parents hired heidi as a parent coordinator for their extremely messy divorce. all i can say is that she completely made my mental health worse and has been the reason behind the divorce getting messier than it was. this has been going on two years; and heidi being hired caused more problems. If you want your kids to talk to you when you’re older i would not hire her.
