Rami was not fighting for my case, he took a back seat. He ran through the $15,000 retainer in just one month of hire. He wasted so much time sending b.s. emails, phone calls just racking up unnecessary fees, dragging this case out. Hiring him only put me in more debt, and furthest from my child.

Steven was the 3rd attorney I'd hired during my divorce and the one whom I stuck with to help me navigate through my divorce. I did have to do some leg work myself, but in my opinion that's normal to have a personal stake in the outcome. Steven's experience in law and his ability to stay empathetic but separate from emotions and facts with respect to the law served me immensely. He's someone I'd recommend even if you are up against a real bulldog on the other side of the fence. He will serve you well.

Atty Demas has handled seven cases for me in the past five years, and I wish I had him represent me earlier through the original child custody, support and divorce proceedings. He knows PA family law and will provide realistic goals but then fights for his clients`rights. I am most impressed that he most vigorously fights where children are being wronged, and his efforts directly opened doors for mine that they would not have had. I highly suspect the 5 star reviews are fake. They keep you in the dark, hold internal meetings without your awareness and make decisions without your input or knowledge (only to learn about it at the next billing cycle) and are very, very difficult to get hold of. Almost all emails are met with out of office replies and no voicemails ever responded to. When a status hearing I did not know existed was extended by my attorney without my knowledge (only to learn this in the next billing cycle) and saw my attorney had answers to interrogatories for nearly a month without telling me only to discover this from OJS = you're fired. OJS literally laughed and smiled... like yeah good luck with that, seemed par for the course. Not to mention a strong, positive person for my case was not contacted three separate times my lawyer told me he would, only for him to say when I finally called him out that he didn't think he was important, is more than messed up, it's unethical = you're fired. Didn't trust me, and didn't even contact the person... so how would you know? That's just a small piece. I highly do not recommend this "law" firm.

After 3 court hearings with pike county Cys and fighting to get my now 11mth old out of foster care and my 12 yr old back with me and my husband, we hired Matt. The very first hearing we had with him as our lawyer , my kids were at my grandfather's house that day and we had visitation whenever we wanted as long as my HOA was there. 4 mths later, my kids were returned home with me and my husband. I honestly don't think that without Matt this would have happened as quick as it did because Cys was really messing with us up until we hired a private lawyer. I can say best money ever spent. And we always got a response in a quick manner and was always available when needed. Thank you so much!!!!! Definitely worth it.

Deborah represented me in an adoption case. She was absolutely horrible. Saying she was unresponsive was an understatement. She went a year without one response. She took thousands of dollars and accomplished absolutely nothing. We were only able to recoup a minimal amount. It was highway robbery. Mostly, she simply did not know what she was doing. When I hired a new attorney, things went smoothly and we were able to complete the adoption. Unfortunately, the cost was much more than it should have been. Please spare yourself and look elsewhere.

I would not recommend Frank Johnson if you want an amicable divorce. If you’ve seen the movie Marriage Story, Frank will remind you of the lawyer portrayed by Laura Dern—looking for an opportunity to draw out the legal fees as long as possible by making the process as toxic as possible. He advertises on his website the he got an alcoholic woman custody and made the spouse pay his fees. In my experience he took a scenario in which my ex and I asked for equal time with the kids and roughly equal expenses with a pre-agreed split of assets and then he made such significant threats about what he could do in court that then turned it into tens of thousands in fees with no actual court hearing and no end in sight to the expensive negotiations. There are better options for your kids and your future than this man. If you have kids, rather than listen to him, agree to split the child tax credits, each claim head of household, agree to perfectly equal time or the courts will penalize you, and agree to equal share of expenses and assets. That’s what my parents did and our lives were better for it.

Caprice Hicks-Bunting has been a great advocate for my family and most importantly my child during our custody case. Caprice Hicks Bunting is a no nonsense attorney who gets the job done !
She was involved in a custody case for our family and did an excellent job. Being in Lancaster County and also being a male wanting shared custody is an uphill battle which she handled with ease. She did this while charging a reasonable price. If you want a lot of fluff and a fancy office don't bother calling but if you want a tiger by your side who does what she says she will then this is the attorney to contact. Beth was good in the courtroom in front of the judge but she completely botched the custody agreement . I requested that I receive 50/50 custody time and after the terms were complete Beth entered me into a 36 % custody agreement . She entered into terms which I was specifically opposed to . Better off hiring another attorney . Opposing party's attorney was more competent and detailed . I had to hire another attorney to file for a modification hearing just to get what I originally requested from Beth

My letter to Joseph, still waiting on a repsonse from him:
Dear Joseph,
I wish to express my concerns about your last representation. In no way am I upset about the outcome of the recent custody conciliation. What I am very disappointed in is the total lack of guidance you had offered me when I had presented at your office in January. As a matter of fact, we never truly discussed the current situation in your office prior to the conciliation paperwork even being completed. I truly believe that had you took the time to go through my documents with me, and properly guided me as to the criteria for the request I was making, that we would have reached the same recommendation back in January that I am facing now.
I know that there are no guarantees in legal proceedings. I do expect proper guidance and representation a month before the fact when I present for it and not in a quick twenty minutes just before the custody conciliation is to take place and be left to defend myself. I view these circumstances as unprofessional conduct and expect more from such an honored attorney.
It is therefore I believe I should be entitled to reimbursement for some of the legal fees I have incurred. These proceedings could have been timed more effectively had you given this matter the attention it deserved for the fees I have submitted for your time and services.
.....In short, Joseph didn't have the time for the prior consult I scheduled with him and he just took my check and filed the papers without knowing a single fact. Once we did talk just twenty minutes before the conciliation (a month later), it was all so clear that Joseph initiated the action way to fast and just blew my time and money which was completely avoidable had he done things in the correct order. Why any lawyer would file a case before talking to his client is just beyond me????? I will be finding a new attorney..................

Katherine guided me through a long drawn out divorce (over 2 years), involving two children. She was absolutely both Professional & Pleasant the entire time. After the initial meeting with Dawn I knew that she was the one to get results. Prior to my meeting with Dawn my anxiety level was through the roof. As the initial meeting went on I immediately felt my anxiety levels dropping. Dawns paralegal "Michelle " added to my anxiety decreasing by being truly invested in getting the best results possible for me.
I had a very unusual case that my previous lawyer had represented me for many years getting some results. Dawn was honest with me and said i had a very unusual case and explained in detail promising me that she would do her very best to get my case resolved.

While I'd much rather be leaving a positive review, this experience does not warrant as much. In the spirit of preventing others from receiving the poor service I received, I submit the following:
I came to Julie with a very simple, uncontested divorce matter in which I had done the majority of the preliminary work on. She wrapped up a few necessary, remaining documents, submitted them to the court, and informed me that I should have a final decree within a couple weeks. A couple weeks passed, and then a month, with no correspondence from her or her staff. At that point, I felt a follow-up inquiry was necessary. Her email response told me only what I already knew: that we were waiting for the Judge to sign, and that I would receive a digital and mailed decree once that transpired. She felt compelled to charge me extra for that. At that point, I just continued to wait. I understand that dealing with a bureaucracy can be unpredictable, however, as my attorney, and with the timeline of "a couple weeks", I would expect some follow-up on her part to occur. After a total of 3 1/2 months elapsed, and I was left completely in the dark, I felt certain my case had slipped through the cracks. After a reluctant inquiry to her, since I didn't really have any more funds to casually donate to uninformative communication, she subsequently followed up with her contact at the courthouse, and miraculously my decree was signed that very day. So, clearly my case did fall through the cracks. It wasn't delayed due to insufficient documentation, child custody issues, alimony, or any of the reasons a divorce matter could be complicated. She simply failed to follow through. It was an unnecessarily long and stressful process. I hope my review will serve to prevent an unsavory experience for others. Sidenote: she did credit my account for the uninformative email, but only after I complained and she defended herself by telling me that 'my frustrations were misdirected'. A reply you might expect to receive from a therapist, not the attorney you hired to handle your divorce, and only contact person you have for updates. I exercised a great deal of patience throughout this process, while simultaneously not being kept abreast. I believe my frustrations were directed quite appropriately.
