After my first attorney pushed me to file an ill advised motion that he lost, I was so lucky to find Mr Wagner through a friend’s referral. Mr Wagner was patient with my many detailed questions, was prompt to respond to my Emails, and advised me as to how to avoid prolonging the divorce process. He composed compelling letters to opposing counsel. He works alone with just one paralegal who is extremely knowledgeable and efficient. Mr. Wagner would often reply same day to my weekend inquiries and even converse with me via Zoom or WhatsApp while he was on vacation! I can’t say enough good things about him.

Had Courtney Mendoza as my lawyer. Was a full time stay at home mom with a full time working dad. I said I would rather not get divorced if custody was anything close to equal split, and was in tears saying I think I was being gaslighted, but not sure how much. Went to court and she encouraged me to not submit evidence in order to not show our hand. Well, 2 years later, you get your opportunity. File for separation if you want to keep your custody or you may find the courts stacked to redirect parenting time to 50/50 regardless of any parenting issues or whatever you built your kids' lives upon--it won't be enough to overpower their desire for shared parenting.

Nathan and his team were such a huge help during what ended up being a 2 year fight. They make time to actually listen to your concerns and answer questions in a professional but compassionate way. I wanted to share that the experience I had with the view ridge law- more specifiacally with the attorny Elaina T. was far from well. I had to end my session with her early and request my money back. I paid her to help me and instead she spent time telling me why I couldnt get what I wanted and defending the other party. I also found out she did not read all the paperwork I sent in which she claimed was irrelevant to the case which was entirely unture. I was shocked at the lack of professionalism and care that was given to me. Our meeting was not recorded so I was not able to prove that way she was speaking to me to her superiors. The only positive that came from this was that the office did refund me my money. I lost out on a very timely situation due to their lack of attention.

October 2024 - I was fortunate enough to be referred to Julie by another attorney a year ago. She was the 3rd attorney I had met with and she was able to see me on very short notice within 48 hours. Immediately, she put me at ease. After our initial visit, I already felt a huge weight had lifted. I was very glad that I had not already retained an attorney at that point. Right away, I felt Julie was "the right one". She was sincere, compassionate, caring, and I could tell she was smart. She immediately took control and told me what I needed to do in order to assist with the case. I hired her right then and left the meeting feeling as if I was in capable hands - and rightly so. On very short notice, Julie and her team were able to frame and present my case which secured a positive outcome at the temporary orders hearing-- for me to be awarded primary custodian of my children and to be able to temporarily remain in the family home. I’m a criminal defense lawyer with 45 years of experience, so when it came to my own difficult, complicated divorce, I knew I needed the best lawyer possible. My first lawyer was, at best, mediocre. Then, during a court zoom hearing a couple of months into my divorce, I watched and listened to Cynthia First representing another petitioner. I used Bliss Law Group, specifically Riley Moos, to represent me in an especially contentious protection order against my husband (and father of my only child) after calling the police on him for the third time in 2 years. The night that I left was the final straw when he tried to break down the bedroom door to get to me. My ex was extremely upset when I filed for the protection order, vowing that by the time the hearing was finished, he would have full custody of our daughter....As you can imagine, I was quite scared!!!! A lot of people say that protection orders are easy to get but ours was much more complex. When I left my husband, the only place I could go, was back to him, or to a homeless/abused women's shelter. I would not allow my daughter to suffer either one of those situations and decided to take her out of state, to my hometown, where we could stay with family while we could pick up the pieces of our broken lives. The decision to leave the state was best for my daughter but it added greatly to the potential repercussions of leaving my husband. My attorney, Riley Moos, swooped in and saved the day. It's hard to describe, but from the moment I started talking to her, I knew we would win that protection order; I could tell when I talked to her that she had read all of the 25 page protection order I'd written recounting the treatment I'd endured over the years, and I knew that she was 100% invested in protecting myself and my daughter. She believed in my cause and she pursued it like a mother bear protecting her cubs. In the final protection order hearing, the Commissioner stated that there was a preponderance of evidence of coercive control. He ordered my husband undergo a substance abuse evaluation and domestic abuse evaluation. And here, I must applaud my ex-husband, because he allowed this feedback to change him. He's been going to AA 5x a week for the past year, has gotten sober, and has turned his life around. None of this would have been possible without Riley. I had previously talked to a pro-bono attorney and could tell that she had no interest in *fighting* for me, or even in reading the lengthy protection order I had written. If it hadn't been for my attorney, Riley Moos, my daughter and I wouldn't be safe in our new home, and my ex-husband wouldn't have turned his life around!!!

I had a phone consult with Amanda to discuss a settlement after a dissolution of an intimate partnership. The consult was on a Wednesday afternoon. She told me she would have a settlement letter drafted by the following week and out to me. It took her four additional weeks to generate a letter. Covid was a complicating factor, however each Friday afternoon that I called to check on the status of my letter, there were excuses and almost outright hostility. No emails or calls to update me on progress. When they finally generated the letter and sent it out, they didn’t send a final copy to me. I got a new lawyer who is very communicative. He sent her an email to request a refund of my trust money and She charged me $103 to review his email and refund my money along with the almost $45 a week she charged me to call to check on the status of my overdue letter. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a professional. I wondered at times if there was something else going on in her life.

She is very inexperienced and unhelpful. Most importantly, she provided me with materially false information and coerced me to sign something that was not in my interest and not what all parties agreed to at a joint meeting. She had a duty to resolve the issue, do what she promised to do, and put in writing what all parties agreed to at a joint meeting. Yet, she failed to do her duty. I had no idea that signing what she told me to sign under the threat of withdrawal was modifying parenting plan. A normal process of modifying a parenting plan would take at least 13 months and with significant burden of proof by the party who wants to modify it. Yet, she just told me to sign something that was actually giving up my right, and she did not even tell me that. I thought it was a temporary thing. In summary, she is inexperienced, unreliable, extremely weak, unconscientious, not a good advocate for whom she is supposed to be paid for representing. She just let the other party dictate everything and told me to obey. I was hesitate to hire her at first. But her boss told me he would be providing supervision. But he did not; he sold me a lemon. Do not be fooled by her or her boss. Stay away. I had to hire another attorney to clean up the mess she created. I was able to achieve my goal with another attorney. So, save yourself time, resources and headache and stay away from her.

I missed a court date that his office never notified me about. He was unprepared for hearings and said he had other cases going. That cost me $1,500 In her attorney fees. He never sent the $23,000 check back. That cost me another $1,500 in attorney fees. I had to search the court docket and notify him of this court date. He apologized for not sending the check back and said he’d make it right. When I told him he could cover the fees and not charge me his, he filed to remove himself as counsel. Gave the wrong email address so I was not notified. I had to see it searching to see if I had anymore court dates.

Terrible Experience with Gravis Law - Would Not Recommend
My experience with Gravis Law in Tacoma has been incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. It took more than three months just to secure my initial appointment. During that meeting, I was assured that scheduling the next appointment would be easy, but I never heard back from them again.
I requested them to review some documents, and they took payment directly from my union membership account. The only confirmation I have is that they received my payment. Since then, there has been no communication—no updates, no responses to emails or calls—for over three months.
This kind of service is unacceptable for a law firm. I would strongly advise against using Gravis Law.
