Chris is the BEST! Truly, the best. I met with multiple attorneys while going through a divorce. Chris has been my attorney for over 12 yrs now, representing me in custody matters concerning my daughter. He has all the qualities a client would look for in their attorney. First, his communication style both with clients and in court is clear, calm, and genuinely empathetic. I am a licensed mental health counselor, a therapist in private practice for over 30 years, and recently retained Jonathan on the advice of another attorney that I regard quite highly but was unavailable. His high praise for Jonathan proved true, as he was both very professional and personable in his representation of my case, which was basically a delusional ex-client claiming that I and members of my family were stalking her. She was able to use the state to get a domestic violence restraining order against me and my son, who did not know her, and the assistance of a "victim's" advocate at taxpayer expense as the state has written these laws to "protect" the "victim" even if everything they say is utterly fallacious. Jonathan put together an excellent defense (you have to basically prove you are innocent as the state is quite willing to assume otherwise) demonstrating that dates and times she said she was being "stalked" were times when I was out of state, along with other impossible scenarios she contrived. This has made a deep impression up me that there are a lot of very deeply disturbed individuals out there who are even worse off than you might detect or imagine in a counseling session. And should you come across one who wants to mess with your life for their own insanely self-indulgent motives, it is good to know an effective, kind, skillful and reasonably-priced lawyer to protect and vindicate you. Jonathan is one such attorney and I will be referring all of my clients who need legal consultation to him from now on, knowing they will be well served. He also gives a one hour free consultation to fully understand your situation and assess what can be done to help you.

Recently, I needed to revisit an extremely difficult family law issue. My previous experience with the case was terrible - including both my former representation and the opposing counsel. Additionally, the opposing party (my X-wife) has been and remains uncooperative. For these reasons, it was a difficult decision to revisit an already extraordinarily painful legal conflict.
When searching for representation via phone consultations, I was immediately impressed by Danielle's sense of fairness, her thorough understanding of the field, and her obvious intelligence. Mostly, I was impressed by her integrity. I hired her because of these characteristics.
As I hoped, we were able to navigate a variety of unfortunate tactics presented by the opposing party. In my opinion, because of Danielle's excellent representation, the conflict was resolved in the best way possible.

I would highly recommend Mr. Odimba For anything dealing with family practice. What I enjoyed was that he stayed on top of everything and if there were any big concerns dealing with the other side he would let me know what's going on and suggest the best route to take. I hired Caleb as my back up for amicable mediation. When this plan failed, Caleb stepped in as my full time lawyer. In the 2 year 9 month long divorce process, I was unbelievable impressed with Caleb (and Susan, his para-legal!).

Dewey Cheatem and Howe…
Worst law firm in the country not just the state. Convinced me to accept a deal (for significantly less than they had originally advised I settle for and well below their “do not accept less than” prep talk) in mediation assuring me I would not be billed further and opposing attorney would handle all closing paperwork. Hen billed me again saying he didn’t do it right, then when I objected and reminded them of what was said, they doubled the bill and sent it again. ANYONE BUT THIS LAW FIRM, I was warned about them but unfortunately was too far in to back out and hire someone else. Any time I confronted them about anything they just threaten to withdraw and keep your money.

Going through a divorce, whilst separating from an unhealthy and confusing relationship is without a doubt one of the most painful experiences I’ve been through - emotional, confusing, and exhausting. Advice to anyone going through it - get professional help, do not try to DIY this. There’s too much complexity.
Deborah Gordon and her team were a perfect fit for me. I am highly, highly detail oriented and rather obsessive about getting everything right. Throw the emotion of a divorce into that and it’s enormously stressful. Deborah was stable and straight forward with her communication - clear and simple. She also balanced this with a strong degree of empathy along the way. There were times when I was clearly going around in circles in my head. She recognized this and was always able to provide clarity and calmness, so that we could move forward.
She gave no nonsense advice and pushed me to advocate for myself, when I probably would have failed to do so alone. She had my back.
