Since taking over for Donna, Chellie has been incredibly prompt, utterly professional, and someone who embodies the highest standards of what top-of-the-line legal assistance should be. Gordon has demonstrated a deep understanding of family law and achieving the best outcomes for his clients. He possesses excellent analytical skills, think critically, strategically and still show empathy which is a rare combination.
Over the years I’ve had to seek out Gordon and his teams and work through not just the divorce but ultimately how to best collaborate with my child’s father when he was unable to responsibly care for our son on multiple occasions. Last month my husband and I met with Lindsay Appleton of the Narrows Law Group to update our estate planning documents. Lindsay is knowledgeable, personable and a joy to be around! Although my struggles are not over yet, Katherine got me out of one of the hardest possitions I ever dreamed of finding myself in.
She not only edgucated me on the Law but pulled me out of a corner I put myself in. Without her legal Aid, my voice would have never been properly heard.
I paid another lawyer twice what I paid Katherine just to jepurdise my case.
Let me just say without this Law Firm I may have never had the glimps of hope, I have for my child now. Thank you Katherine!!!
Let me not forget about madeline. She was with me every minute of the whole case. at every hr!!! she was very nice and answered every question I answered!
I had an emergancy, where my childs mother wanted to send a stranger out of no where, across states to transport our child... I sent madaline a Email as I was panicking. Wondering if I had to actually hand my child over to a stranger. She quickly got back to me at night time and said. No, you do not have to give your child to a stranger. Unless the BM is there.
I could not know where I would be without these 2, but if I had to guess. Without their quick thinking and fast preparation. Probably in a way worse place then I am now.

Tresa and her team are extremely knowledgeable, very responsive and have won for me every time in court. I first retained Tresa in 2021 and my ex has taken me to court at least 1-2 times per year since. Tresa won a contempt case against the mother, but more notably Tresa won a full trial to prevent child relocation. WA state relocation law favors the parent with more residential time and in my case that is the mother. I have a typical EOW and mid-week visit parenting plan. However, Tresa successfully won a full trial and prevented my ex from moving out of state with our child. Other attorneys told me I had a 10% chance to win just due to the law. Nonetheless, Tresa fought hard for me. She is absolutely fantastic and puts your wishes first. She’s extremely knowledgeable about family law and I would recommend her to anyone!

Ms. Hunter is a well-connected (i.e. resourceful) attorney, old-schooled (think RBG, kind, balanced approach to law), thorough, transparent, and timely. My one advice for prospective clients is while you should make your own choices, listen and weigh carefully to what she advises — as she will present the law you as it will possibly be.

After interviewing a number of lawyers for my divorce I chose Jason for his directness and honesty about the situation.
Throughout the divorce process, the opposing attorneys tried to introduce external issues irrelevant to the divorce in an effort to prejudice the court against me. Jason made sure only relevant issues were considered, and we came out ahead every time
Jason worked hard to get an equitable settlement, working with the mediator to toss out ridiculous requests from the opposing party, and come to a reasonable agreement.
I always felt Jason had my best interests in every discussion with the opposition, and set my expectations appropriately even if the outcome might not be favorable to me.

Monica was my champion when I couldn’t always see through the manipulation of the abuse cycle I was stuck in. She helped us escape and fought for my kids and I. Monica was my counsel in a custody/support with a few complications and issues. There were a lot of different ways we could go with things, but I always felt Monica was thoughtful and laid out the possibilities and likely outcomes clearly to me.

A very belated review that I just realized I never left -
We had a great experience with Kathleen and her office in the matter of a step-parent adoption. She was thorough in explaining the different types of step-parent adoption that could apply to our case (contested vs uncontested) and with her guidance, we were able to land on an uncontested case. She handled all the communication and paperwork with the additional parent. As this was during COVID, our hearing was held virtually, but it was a quick and easy process the whole way through. No surprises or hidden charges, and both Kathleen and her office staff were incredibly kind. Highly recommend.

When I embarked on finding an attorney online, I was overwhelmed by the sheer number of options. Assessing the expertise of these prospects was a daunting challenge. Ultimately, I based my decision largely on proximity to the courthouse. This factor, I realize, is not the recommended criterion for choosing an attorney, but I was extremely lucky in choosing Brent Thompson.
I cannot say enough good about Brent. He is an amazing attorney who I quickly realized cares deeply about his clients. He is no-nonsense and requires his clients to strictly adhere to his advice.

Since AVVO won’t let me post my actual review I’ll just put how frustrated I was for the whole process. Costs, this divorce without one single in person court hearing was over $12,600. That’s not including his retainer, other attorney’s cost to type up something he claims he knows so much about, and also the mediation cost. Mediation determined 99% of everything, he literally did nothing. He sent me wrong paperwork, charged me incorrectly, misspelled names, called me because he can’t understand emails and charged me his normal rate. Talked down to me like I’m an idiot. He plays the military card, stating he will fight and win. That’s far from the case. Don’t listen to his used car salesman tactics. There is no way these reviews are real, anyone who deals with this guy either doesn’t pay attention or just believes everything he says. Go pay for an attorney who has a paralegal, it’ll cost you way less in the process and you’ll have better representation.

Mark is my first lawyer who accept my divorce case and I was involved in a terrible divorce while my ex husband uses every way including the legal system as a way to abuse me and I personally am very depressed.

I found Kathryn through a friend. I had already made several calls looking for an attorney to help me through what I was sure would be a difficult divorce. All the calls I made we met with “this is what we charge an hour” and then the touting of all their accomplishments. With Kathryn the first words I heard were of compassion for both myself and my children.
