If you have any kind of personal injury claim in California, individually or as part of a class, you need to hire Chris and Kevin Moon. It's that simple.
As a business and employment litigation attorney for both plaintiffs and defendants with more than 70 jury trials under my belt, I know the difference between "litigators" and real trial attorneys. The former are all too common in our profession, adept only at pushing paper, filing motions, and acting like keyboard warriors. But when cases fail to settle and trial looms, those kinds of lawyers find themselves staring into an abyss. They then either fold by unfairly compromising their client's case to avoid exposing their lack of trial experience, or stumble through trial with disastrous consequences.

Chris Banys was very knowledgeable in this area. He helped me throughout the whole dispute, advised me of my rights and did everything he could to keep the cost down. He started off by reviewing my leases, and sent my landlord various letters. When we filed suit he did everything that he could to move things along. Chris was very aggressive in his approaches because I knew that from prior experiences with my landlord that he had to be. When the case settled Chris got me everything that I deserved and I didn’t have to give my landlord anything. It was a great win and I would always hire him for any matter that comes up. My review is based on the free consultation over the phone. I found Natalya to be able to listen carefully, grasp the situation quickly, explain things succinctly, and offer specific solutions. She was quite upfront about her rates and, since my situation did not call for her level of expertise, recommended against hiring her firm. Unfortunately, I have had a bit of experience with interviewing attorneys and, eventually, hiring one. Thus, I know what to look for and who to avoid. I was hit by a car on foot last year and their staff has helped me the whole way as far as keeping me updated and sending me to the right places for treatment. Teresa, Bella, Christina, and Nagelberg were very responsive to all my questions and concerns. They charge a less percentage compared to other attourneys . They treated me great. I was rear ended by a semi when I was 17, and became a quadriplegic. They flew to Texas and became my lawyers and friends. Kurt and Larry are great people on general and amazing lawyers. I had a billing dispute with a well known rental car company. It was over a pre-existing crack in the windshield of a rental vehicle. Despite my notification to them and assurance from their representative that I would not be charged, they billed me for the damage. Through a legal benefit provided by my workplace, I hired Justin to handle this issue.

I have been in the unfortunate position of having to pursue litigation several times in my career when my property has been damaged. A silver lining in this cloudy process has been the opportunity to work with Adam Hoover. In my experience, stretching back over more than six years and multiple cases, Adam has consistently demonstrated excellent performance on many levels. While by and large, all lawyers have attended law school and passed the bar examination, not all of them have legal minds which innately grasp, interpret and apply the law to the set of facts particular to a given case. This quality is more than simply an enviable skill; it bears directly upon a client's experience during the litigation experience and ultimately the cost burden born by the client. This manifests in reductions of redundant work, excessive research and surplus discovery. In addition to the time and cost savings associated with thoroughly understanding issues and applicable laws in a case, Adam is mindful of the financial burden costly litigation places on clients. I never felt that Adam “nickel and dimed" me or overbilled me in any way. In fact, I know he is very conservative with his time keeping and while accurate, certain items on the bill are marked "no charge".
Adam clearly places my best interest, as a client, as his top priority. He has demonstrated a consistent willingness to try to win my cases early in the lawsuit lifecycle. He has achieved an impressive level of success to those ends. That not only saves me the cost of protracted discovery and trials in some instances, but also allows me to devote my efforts to growing my business rather than litigating. Although he could bill three or four times more fees by taking a case through discovery and trial, he places his ethical obligation to zealously represent me above his personal profit motive.
