The minute I contacted Amy I knew I was in the best hands. I was a wreck, crying and she comforted me and reassured me that we are going to handle this. She always kept me up to date with dockets and what not. Anytime I had a question or concern I would shoot her a text or give her a call and she always answered same day, next day at the latest. She is an amazing lawyer who gets stuff done. I’ve never had a point of contact (especially a busy attorney) get back to me so quickly, answer all my questions, and reassure me that it is going to be ok. Literally are horrible people unless you pay them an arm and leg then they’ll just take half to the prosecutor to get the case thrown. Other than that if you or anyone you know loved ones, friends, family etc. They are in for it!! PREPARE to be treated as if you wanting to know what’s going on with your case is annoying them… they will not return calls or emails! The receptionist has the attitude of a 17 year old taking orders at McDonald’s! I was on the receiving end of false reports which led to charges against me. It took 3 years until the charges were dropped, but Ken stuck with it, patiently answering my questions and holding power to account along the way. The adversarial system isn't designed to be easy, but even by those standards, it was a slog. I was indicted for multiple felonious charges stemming from an on-duty shooting while employed as a police officer.

Jason Snell and his firm are the single reason we were able to recoup any money from our builder when we ran into a contractual disagreement. Without him, we would have probably not only lost our house, but also all the money invested in it.

I hired Mr. Bassett in April 2021 after I was indicted with three federal charges. I was facing a lengthy sentence and on an emotional roller coaster with what I had gotten myself in to. Fortunately for my family and I he was able to produce more than favorable results. Two of the three charges were dropped, and my sentence was greatly reduced. This unrealistic outcome that was made possible because of Sam, a brilliant man with a heart of gold that strategized to our benefit. We as defendants first need to accept our own actions and responsibility in whatever we are dealing with and secondly, we need stellar representation. The best was only made possible due to Sam’s navigation throughout my case. Needed something done that was unsure if could be done. I was given the option to either move forward or save my pennies by Mr. Bassett's team. From the paralegal to Mr. Bassett, I am SUPER pleased of the outcome. It was simple, to the point and very quick. I've been waiting almost a decade to get some help and I feel like I got the best. I was let down by a previous attorney I originally hired, where he initially responded but then just ignored me. Then I had an attorney who asked me if I was "ready to ride the tidal wave of the Justice system." No, I was not. Where some attorneys are unsure and some even will say "it can't be done" I was given the option and I appreciate that. Despite there possibly being an issue, Mr. Bassett and his paralegal were very communicative and tolerant. While I do prefer a more gentle approach, it was not necessary in the long run. Rest assured that if you need someone to get the job done, you can be assured that Mr. Bassett is going to do his best. I'm very glad I went with him based on a peer (his peer) recommendation. I can now continue on the rest of life thankful that I took the chance and thankful that I went with Mr. Bassett. If you want to go with someone who is well known, has a positive impression and has the backing of an amazing staff, look no further. This has been my best experience with a lawyer! I needed a criminal attorney in Austin Texas that would handle a legal matter in a specific way for me so as to get my Austin, Travis County misdemeanor charge dismissed before I was arrested on the charge and was needing to post bond.
Joseph contacted the DA and arranged for a dismissal of my charge before I was ever arrested or had to go to court.
Before I found Joseph I interviewed a handful of high priced, high rated criminal lawyers in Austin, including a referral from another super lawyer in Dallas County that has handled matters for me. These other Austin lawyers I talked to seemed inflexible and wanted me to go through the entire legal process of turning myself in for the warrant, bonding out, and going to court. A bunch of time and unnecessary bullshit that I knew could be avoided with the right legal approach and the right lawyer to pull it off.
Joseph was the 5 Star Austin attorney that I was looking for and he cost me a third of what the other attorneys in Austin were charging. I am so grateful and appreciative I randomly stumbled across a review from another previous legal client that indicated Joseph was the legal representation that I needed.
I've been around the Texas legal system and I can tell you this is the lawyer you want on your side if dealing with a misdemeanor or even felony charge in Travis County or Georgetown. Seems like a good genuine guy as well. If I ever have another legal matter near Austin 🤞 I need help with i will be reaching out to Joseph.
