I had two separate cases that I needed to take care of. Most lawyers would advise you to go to court so they can take your money. Michael was the opposite. He gave me great legal advice and made me feel like he really cared. He advised me to take a deal and even said I can call him if I need anymore help. If I need a lawyer in the future he will be my first call. Great guy and even better lawyer.

Jim Matthew really went above and beyond for me. He assured me he would take care of the situation and he did just that. He reduced one of my charges and completely had the other one erased. Contacted Ms. Icenhauer-Ramirez on the recommendation of a friend. She was everything the friend said she would be (see Review Title for qualities). She told us what to expect and what the approximate timeline was. She was very good keeping us informed about where we were in the process, next steps, when things would likely happen, etc. I hope we never need a criminal defense attorney again but if we do, she is our first call. Linda was an amazing attorney. I have had other attorneys in the past who can't even compare. She actually cares about her clients and is extremely nice. She was very responsive and great at keeping me up to date on what was going on. Nervous about my case, I consistently had questions and she was prompt to answer them. I came to Linda with a class B misdemeanor when I was already on probation and did not have a clean record in the past. I thought I was more then screwed. I found myself in unexpected trouble and was paralyzed with fear of the unknown. I met with Mr. Carsey and he helped settle my mind about the process and possible outcome. The minute I contacted Amy I knew I was in the best hands. I was a wreck, crying and she comforted me and reassured me that we are going to handle this. She always kept me up to date with dockets and what not. Anytime I had a question or concern I would shoot her a text or give her a call and she always answered same day, next day at the latest. I my case I was arrested for possession of cocaine under 1 g and a misdemeanor Xanax charge. So I was looking at a felony and a misdemeanor. I have had a previous felony in another state which we all thought was going to be a factor in the final outcome. Channing being quick to move was able to get the misdemeanor dropped and the felony was dropped down to a misdemeanor. The reason that this was a great outcome was because I did have a previous felony. Whether you have the disease of addiction that has you caught up or you just got in trouble I would recommend Channing Neary. I believe that she takes every case is very personal and I believe she is very competitive. If I don't see fire in a lawyer I damn sure won't hire. She is straight up and I'll tell you how it is and extremely polite and kind at the same time. But when she gets in that courtroom then it's showtime because she knows your life depends upon it!

Jason Rew-Hunter was my lawyer for my case and this was my first offense and I was scared and not sure what to do... I went in to his office and met and consulted with him about my charges, and what the process is and what would happen just to help me calm my nerves. After meeting with Jason Rew-Hunter, I hired him to be my lawyer. He was so helpful and always knew what to say to help. Anytime I needed someone to call I called him and he told me straight up how to help. He always kept in contact with me and I always kept up with payments and he always help work something out. We got my case dismissed and anytime I talk about my lawyer Jason Rew-Hunter, I brag about how awesome of a lawyer he is. I think everyone should have a lawyer like Jason Rew-Hunter.

I was reverend to Jason by an attorney friend of mine that went to law school with him. She was unable to take my case as I was with her that night and it would have been a conflict of interest. I was arrested by CP police for DWI after passing all their field sobriety test. Jason was able to get my whole case dismissed and thrown out. I had a gun in the car and they took that. It was also a felony charge being a CHL holder and having a gun while intoxicated is illegal but he was able to get my gun back and have all charges dropped. I highly recommend him!

There are so many positive things that I can say about Mr. Sean Levinson, but what stood out to me most was his approach. I was in a really tough spot at the time that I reached out to him for help in my parole case. He always responded in a timely manner and was prompt to answer any questions I had. Don't know what we would have done if it hadn't been for Sean. You never really think about not knowing any lawyers until you need one. Never having needed one, I was very much out of my element. Sean was recommended by another lawyer. We live in a small East Texas town and Sean was 3 & 1/2 hours away in Austin. But, since the hearing would be a ZOOM call, I figured it didn't matter how far away he was. He worked with me, dealt with my crying episodes, of which there were many, and helped my husband, me and our witnesses prepare for the hearing. He was there for us even after the hearing was over until we were able to get my husband home. My husband was arrested due to a 15 year old Blue warrant for technical stuff. Totally crazy situation. I hope we're never in the situation where we need a Parole lawyer again, but if we do, Sean will be the first person we call. We would highly recommend Sean. He will be there for you from the beginning until the end.

My ex-wife filed for divorce and then proceeded to try to have my family and friends removed from my kids lives. She made up numerous lies about me and even at one point attempted to sue me for a large sum of money in addition to the divorce proceedings. My attorney was Craig Lusk and not only did he disprove all of her bogus claims. He got the suit dropped and NEVER lost in court 1 time (we went to court about 8 different times). The proof is in the pudding...the last time we were in court was over a year ago yet my ex-wife is presently posting false negative reviews against Mr. Lusk. She is a very vindictive and angry person, even posting negative reviews against the 3 lawyers that fired her as a client. Her false review titled the "Worst of the Worst" (posted by Adrianna which so happens to be the name of my last girlfriend) Is a completely fake review full of false information. That review states Mr. Lusk sent his Junior Associate to court in his place. Mr. Lusk handles all cases himself and does not have this person in his office. I hired Mr. Lusk in 2010 and last went to court with him in 2014 and he personally was there every time.
Mr. Lusk is a very professional, dedicated, responsible attorney. He takes care of his clients...He is very good at what he does and if I had not hired him I would have not had the custody of my children that I have now and would have suffered more from her unethical tactics and deceit.
My divorce was very ugly...If you are attacked you need to protect yourself and Mr. Lusk can do that. He protected me so well, my ex-wife is slandering him 12 months after the case is over!

Mr. Garcia was recommended to me when my daughter was arrested on a first-offense DWI charge. I was on the receiving end of false reports which led to charges against me. It took 3 years until the charges were dropped, but Ken stuck with it, patiently answering my questions and holding power to account along the way. I was indicted for multiple felonious charges stemming from an on-duty shooting while employed as a police officer.

As the parent of a teen (who made a dumb mistake and got into trouble), I found myself in a panic during the middle of the night trying to locate an attorney w/ juvenile / legal expertise. After reviewing many websites and analyzing attorney bios, David was a standout. He did not disappoint. From our first meeting, his expertise and articulation to us of the JV legal system and subsequent strategy resulted in a dismissal. His flat fee was clearly stated and reasonable. Retaining a blue chip attorney like David was very reassuring during a very stressful time especially, when there is a lot at stake. The impact of JV issues in background of your teen can certainly leave a negative "stain" or interfere with future opportunities if not handled properly. David is now assisting with the follow up for sealing the case and advising us regarding the delicate nature of disclosures as need for many applications for college etc.. To the person who gavce one stars, after carefully reading your reviews, I can only conclude that your experience either took place in the space of your mind or simply is the best of mud slinging. My attorney was fully open about the likely fees, and in fact capped them when they reached a veryu reasonable level. Most importantly, in this respect, my case was resolved after they capped my fees. In my book, thats a double dose of integrity and trust. So, my opinion - fully knowledgeable about the law, fully knowledgeable about the process, the way things polay out, the judges, the prosecutors, etc. As well, completely in command of the inevitable ups and downs the process navigates. You get the law, the context surrounding the law, the playbook, and the play with this firm. Couldn t be any better, and got a better resosultion than hoped...thanks to solid crafting. Couldnt recommend any more than this folks.

An unexpected twist happened in my custody case causing my final trial to be rescheduled and my attorney at the time asked for a new retainer for the new trial date despite that I already paid for the initial trial, which didn’t happen. I couldn’t afford it abut paid it partially. Then he requested even more which left me without an attorney.
I was in an extremely strong position in my custody case but going it at without an attorney would have been catastrophic.
Brian was the third family law lawyer Id hired and will be the last. Not only is he knowledgeable, accessible and affordable but he’s practical and ethical.
A lawyer is a businessman, a person who wants to maximize their earnings.
Brian isn’t a businessman transacting with a client, he’s an advocate for his clients. You will not be billed excessively. Your strategy will be logical and practical and false promises will not be made. He’s not the attorney who’s going to pursue unrealistic outcomes to maximize his billable hours. My attorney prior to Brian was ethical but unaffordable to me.
I promise you my case is more complex and contested than most cases and the amount I’ve paid Brian to date is a tenth of what I’ve spent with other attorneys .
Brian saved me at a time of extreme desperation, if you have custody challenges and have limited funds Brian should be your go to family law attorney. Do not go at it pro-se.

I recommend the Peek & Toland firm 100% - they gave me 110%. We won one of the most difficult cases with the odds completely stacked against us. I would say at least 90% of other Austin law firms would have lost my case. I say this because other firms I brought my case to were very negative on the case. Mr. Libersat is a super lawyer that gets the job done to the best of his ability. I hired him for a felony that was a serious stress in my life and I was afraid of what could happen if I chose the wrong attorney. He didn't let me down at all. He was able to work with the state & get it reduced to misdemeanor deferred adjudication with no jail time or probation. That means that when I finish deferred adjudication probation the charges will be dismissed and I can say I was never convicted.
At one point the state tried to add a burdensome condition that they hadn’t mentioned as I was standing in front of the judge to accept the plea deal, which would have put impossible requirements on me and made it hard for me to fulfill the probation and see my children.
Fortunately Jeff stopped the proceedings before the deal was finalized and refused to accept it and we made another hearing. At the next hearing the State agreed to remove the restrictive requirement and I accepted the deal. I know Jeff was reluctant to even accept this deal and wished he could keep fighting for a complete dismissal but he also wanted me to be able to move on with my life and with the best deal I could receive. He let me decide and I chose to take deferred adjudication so that I could move on. I’m happy with the decision and I expect to finish probation and have this case dismissed. He always answered the phone with any questions I had and any information I needed at all times. I couldn't be happier with the decision of hiring him.

Last year my landlord withheld a large part of my security deposit ($400) in bad faith. The apartment had been maintained properly and cleaned thoroughly prior to my move out date, however, over $200 was deducted from my deposit based on “damages” that consisted of only normal wear and tear. I attempted to fight this issue on my own, but the management company maintained their stance and insisted that the fees deducted from my security deposit were for damages caused during my stay. The “damages” however were not specified, and I was simply billed for normal “cleaning and painting”. I contacted Mr. Libersat to assist me in fighting these charges. He was professional, thorough, understanding, and above all, successful! He took the time to listen to the details of my case and promptly drafted a “demand letter” to the owner of my management company. The letter presented my complaint in a clear, concise, and intelligent manner. It included examples from the Attorney General’s website, and directly disputed the claims against me.
