My son had some difficulties in Lakewood. Steve got back to me promptly and then with my son. After reviewing things with my son he updated me on how things would proceed. He did what he could to have my son miss as little of work as possible. I would like to take the time to share my experience with this law firm, and in particular Steve Bradley. Almost a decade ago, I caught a major drug offense case and hired another lawyer who claim "Damn right we fight". Well their lack of fight or in this case, lack of legal knowledge, ended up getting me a 12 year mandatory sentence. I appeared for a what I thought was a routine pretrial motion to suppress hearing to try to attack the arrest warrant. I had no idea that when that motion was shot down, my lawyer moved right to the sentencing. I was given everyday on the original indictment. Stunned at what just transpired, my attorney leans in and says least we got you thirty days to get your affairs in order. Fast forward to less than a week till I was set to turn myself in on the 12 years, I contacted Steve, who was recommended by a friend, about a appeal. I met with him at his office and he was upfront and honest about the fact I've had no grounds for an appeal. Devastated, I shrank in my chair, and was coming to grips with fact I was really about to be away from my kids and loved ones for a decade plus. Then he told me that there was an angle he had been waiting to use, and the right client and case to execute it on. He proceeded to tell me that if I had the money, he would try to get my plea withdrawn, and take it back to trial. He gave me a pricier quote then my last attorney. So I asked him since 10 thousand dollars got me 12 years, what will said amount get me. He said that he could knock my sentence in half or if all goes well, maybe even probation. I immediately hired him. Long story short, this man was able to get the prosecutor to drop the mandatory 11 years, which comes with a major felony 1 drug offense. That gave us the opportunity to negotiate a plea bargain for half of my original sentence or still take it to trail where he could guarantee one of two outcomes. Either serve the entire sentence or walk away with a F5 and be placed on probation. I never expected a walk because I was guilty of committing a crime, but not enough to deserve all that time. So I accepted the deal and served my sentence and am now off parole. I want to personally thank you for saving my life and giving me a chance to be a father to my boys. Very refreshing to know there is still honest and hard working lawyers out there who care and actually preform the job the say they will.

Patrick Leary was hired by an associate of my now husband's, and he advised me to waive my preliminary hearing, stating that my codefendant waived his, which I figured out later was horrible advice. I'd heard he was the best. His motivation was money and nothing else. He did, however, get the judge to recall my warrant, which should never have issued in the first place, as I gave the Court notice of my ride bailing on me without adequate notice for me to walk three hours to the courthouse. Where's the Justice in this alleged 'JUSTICE' system in our once-great country?

After battling with the "good ole boys club" for over a year, my nephew sat in jail on a non violent charge of "disrupting public service" due to calling the PD too many times for welfare checks on his child. No violence, no fire arms, just a simple charge concocted by the local PD. After being appointed an attorney who assured us it was as simple a diversion for this young man who had never had any confrontations with the law, never any charges, etc. the appointed attorney never was able to process anything, never filed any paperwork. Leary came in, addressed very quickly the issue, was able to get a deal where this charge will be removed once MH treatment is completed. He is attentive to the client's needs and gets things done! He was a godsend after battling this system where his wife is employed he was able to get things accomplished quickly.

These lowlifes aren't even worth the time and trouble of hiring. They are greedy, care nothing for their clients and can't even do their job. I know of an individual they represented and this educated librarian sat there with his finger up his nose while the judge did his job for him. And if you owe them money, they threaten you, even if you are making payments to them. There a lot better attorneys in Columbus you can hire.

We hired Susan Stone (and Kristina Supler, her associate) for defense of our son who was falsely accused of sexual misconduct after a breakup with a former girlfriend. The young woman retaliated by filing a claim with Title lX at the university they attended. With good evidence to support his case, we thought there would be no problem during the school’s hearing. Wrong! He was found “responsible” and expelled for four years from the university. Upon connecting with KJK’s Susan Stone, we were put at ease as they went to work gathering data and discovering how poorly the school had handled our son’s case with basically no due process. In a matter of a few months, his case was resolved and he was back in school. Susan and Kristina, along with their associates, literally changed the trajectory of our son’s life. I hired Susan for a wrongful termination case for which she insisted she had a lot of experience with, but it later became apparent that she had not dealt with my type of case before. She put her junior attorney on the case "to save me money", but it ultimately cost me much more as the junior attorney worked slowly and Susan charged a hefty price for all of her supervision hours. She did a poor job of communicating with me. When I followed up multiple times after deadlines were missed and there was no follow up from Susan or her colleague I got a rude phone call from Susan telling me I was calling too frequently and making their job difficult. The finished appeal speech that she and her junior colleague wrote for me was quite poor, with a strong focus on irrelevant details, while completely leaving out important facts. I ended up writing and using my own speech and when I won the appeal Susan made sure to call me and let me know how thankful I should be to her because I would not have won the appeal without her expert assistance.
