This was the first time I used this law firm. They were great with getting my mother's green card renewed and making sure my husband got his permanent residency. We contacted Mr. Cotlar's office because our son was facing some potentially serious criminal charges. Mr. Cotlar scheduled a consultation with us right away. My hopes are that you’ve taken the time to read my review of Mr. Khawaja. What this man did for my son was way beyond my expectations! I was completely filled with fear after my son was arrested for a felony charge along with a DUI. I’m telling you now, if you or your loved one has been charged with any type of crime this is the lawyer to hire! He got the felony completely dismissed along with no probation, no fine and only a few days in county jail for the DUI. I am being completely honest when I say don’t hire a different attorney, hire this man, he is absolutely amazing at his job and will shock you with his results. I am so grateful to him and want anyone and everyone else in the Houston area to not confuse themselves with the never-ending list of attorneys out there and call his office. I was a student in Houston and unfortunately got charged with misdemeanor theft in July 2014, but didn't find out until I moved back to my hometown in the Atlanta area. As an accounting major, I REFUSED to handle this case without an attorney. I called other attorneys at first, but I honestly didn't feel comfortable hiring them. I'm very picky and definitely wasn't going to just hire any attorney. I came across his profile on Avvo and was impressed because reviews are very important. I was 100% CONFIDENT in hiring Mr. Khawaja. He is very HONEST and kept it 100 with me. As a young African-American lady, Mr. Khawaja truly understands how hard it can be for minorities in society, period. He could tell that I was extemely nervous talking to the judge but was still able to let me know that everything was going to be okay. He was able to get me what I wanted which was for me not to get convicted for my theft charge. If I was to ever get in any legal trouble in Houston again (God forbid), I would definitely hire him, no doubt. He gave me a taste of my own medicine by letting me know that I have an attitude problem and that it needs to be fixed and I appreciate him for that because that means that he really care about his clients. Thank you for saving our boy! He is a great kid with real mental health issues and Mr. Khawaja was just a super professional. Thank you so much Mr. Khawaja. No one wanted to hear us out or let us explain what problems we have been having with our boy but Mr. Khawaja listened and teamed up with our sons doctor to help get my son reinstated on the felony probation he violated 3 separate times after being guaranteed to be revoked with TDC time per our first retained misinformed counsel.
I retained Mr. Khawaja from a recommendation from our priest and he passionately advocated to the judge our position and against all odds the Judge reinstated the probation and amended the conditions of the probation to account for my sons mental health issue. People like my son slip through the cracks and sometimes become felons because of cheap and lazy incompetent lawyers. Mr. Khawaja made me happy to pay his fees and because of him my son will not be a statistic!
Mr. Khawaja showed super attention to detail and his confidence comforted the entire family through this stressful ordeal.

Mr. Adamo came highly recommended from a prominent Houston lawyer. He is "the lawyer that lawyers hire". He successfully had my charges dismissed and so I also recommend him now.
I was arrested and charged with a felony when a dog sniffed my car and found a few edibles and a THC oil pen. This was in small county in west Texas and my chances of dismissal did not look promising.
Mr. Adamo and his team were able to get the felony charges completely dismissed.
Thanks to Mr. Adamo I still have a promising career to look forward to.

My truck was recently profiled by new addition to the Tomball police department. I received 3 violations and also missed my court date. I found Michael Stoll through a car club forum. Having Mr. Stoll represent me was the best decision I could have ever made!! I received a traffic citation for speeding after not having a traffic violation in over 10 years. I have a CDL so I knew hiring an attorney would be expensive but I knew it was imperative that I do so in order to try to keep the violation off my driving record. I met Mr. Stoll in court while he was tending to another client. I told him of my situation and he agreed to represent me. A month later I received another traffic citation for speeding. Concerned, I reached out to Mr. Stoll and told him about the additional citation. His words and confidence put me at ease. We went to court and he was able to get both traffic violations dismissed. His attorney fee was more than reasonable! If you are faced with a traffic violation don’t go to court alone….hire Mr. Stoll!

Mr. Skinner recently represented me in a criminal case that I was wrongfully accused in and completely innocent of the allegations. I had prematurely hired another defense attorney that I was not completely comfortable with and when I decide to make a change he supported me in that process and then developed and implemented a case strategy that not only showed my innocence, but also shed light on the incompetence of the other parties involved. Mr. Skinner was very calculating in his approach to others regarding the situation, understanding the need to not alienate these resources and create a hostile and distrusting environment. During this ordeal Mr. Skinner always made himself available to me and provided a constant voice of both information as well as a sounding board for me as I grew more and more disenfranchised with the system and gained more insight into the truths of how the system actually operates. Additionally, Mr. Skinner advised me on circumstances not directly associated to the case, not as an attorney but as a person. I found this personal aspect to be very refreshing, and know that it is a quality that is not found very often in the legal ranks. Eventually, after every excuse was exhausted by the prosecution, the case was dismissed, and I am now on my way to returning to some sense of normality. My best advice is to never find yourself in a situation that you would need the services of a criminal defense attorney. However, should you for whatever reason find yourself in that very precarious situation, I would highly recommend the services of Mr. Skinner and his team.

Gardner has done what I thought was impossible- enforcing my divorce decree. My ex-husband is a lawyer and even though he agreed to the divorce decree, after it was final he told me he wouldn't pay child support and would bring my son home when he felt like it. He said if I didn't like it then to take him to court.
After four years, of trying to be understanding and work things out, I reluctantly turned back to the courts to intervene. Gardner was recommended by a trusted friend. He understood the situation and the personality of my ex-husband immediately, which was incredibly helpful. He was focused and never gave up through all the legal antics. Much quicker than I ever imagined possible, he stopped my ex-husband from changing the schedule and he also actually got him to start paying child support! I am still just amazed.

My first communication with Mrs López was through a text, she immediately contacted me and she visited my son in jail the next day. I remember her asking me what I expected from her and I simply said “I want you to fight for him and do your best to keep him out of prison”. She took his case and went to work.
