I received a ticket for 100+ and paid the fine not knowing it would lead to an automatic 6 month suspension. Mr. Johnen was able to get my case reopened and the ticket reduced to 94 avoiding the suspension all together. Truly grateful for his representation. Highly recommend.

I was pulled over in Portage WI late at night from a long drive to SD to drop off my step son. Weary from the road, but not wavering, a cop pulled me over for not having a front plate on my '95 collector. Watch out. These guys aren't looking to protect, they are on the attack with the sole purpose of getting tickets, not busting drunk drivers. Anyway, I had one beer at a rest stop just prior. Got field sobriety, passed it well. Got blow test, blew at .01, yea .01 not .1. They arrested me anyway. I refused the blood test but was taking in and forced it out of me anyway. I was facing two counts, OWI and for refusing blood test. Both carry about the same penalty! If charged, my next 5 years would have carried an extra $300 a month in high risk insurance and the next year I would not have been able to take my family on any visits with others or vacations. I called 3 other attorneys and none of them had every gotten someone off from refusing a blood test. Patrick was the fourth and he had experience doing it! It was all dropped to "inattentive driving" and a $250 fine. Well I guess you gotta throw the dogs a bone. Praise God for Patrick for protecting me and my family!

First and foremost, I want to start off by giving a Million Thanks to Corey Mehlos for being an amazing lawyer and for always keeping Myself and my husband up to date with every detail of his case and for fighting for him and seeing the good in him and not the “Criminal “that they viewed him as.
In 2021 my Husband was hit with a Conspiracy Charge that held a sentence of 52 years. When we got this devastating news, we did not know what to because at the time we had no money for a lawyer because I was putting myself through college at the time and I was not working then that year we were blessed with Money and was able to afford a lawyer just to find out months later that he could no longer represent my Husband due to a conflict of interest and he has to drop my husband as a client. Me and my Husband are big on Our Faith and Trust that no matter what with God we will always find a way. I prayed for months for God to send me someone that he knew would fight for my husband. I remember the very first conversation I had with Corey and I knew in my heart that this was the Man that was going to fight for my husband and he did just that. That first call we had talked for a while and I had explained everything to him and I remember him saying “Well I will be more than Happy to take his case” Not knowing all the details or the extent of the case. I hired Mark Maciolek for a hearing and he defended me as expected. I had explained the circumstances and he sounded sure that it was a do-able case. Quiet, but methodical in his delivery in & out of court. He is knowledgeable about the law - he took time to question and explain strategy, he explained the need to remain flexible in our defense. I came into my case as a young man and completely Oblivious to the court system and Mark made me completely comfortable. Attorney Edari was WONDERFUL with not only my son who was in trouble, but me as a mom when I had questions. We spoke to another attorney about my sons case and all he seemed to care about was a paycheck and not helping my son. My son was facing time not only in jail but in prison, Attorney Edari worked long and hard to do what she could to lessen that time. While meeting with her and my son I could tell no one is a case number to her, they are human. She does not only care about helping with court, she stands up for that person and makes sure she gets them into a position they need. She discussed with my son getting into school, counseling, etc. She would check in with both of us to make sure things were going ok. She believed in my son changing as much as I do. My son ended up serving a month in jail and is now out trying to straighten his life up. He is with his young son who needs him. Which Attorney Edari made possible.

I met Vata, during the most horrific time in my life, I was facing felony child abuse charges. Vata was the third attorney that I had spoken with inregards to my case. The first two attorneys seemed as though they were straight to business and that's it. That left me feeling very unsure of hiring either one of them to represent me. Finally, a family member recommended Vata. I was a little reluctant at this point because this was going to be the third lawyer that I had spoken to about the chain of events that occurred. I was exceedingly worried about retaining a lawyer for my DUI case as I heard it was fruitless by many people who have been in my shoes previously.
After reading a lot of reviews, and making many phone calls to other attorneys it was evident after completing the consultation that Mr. Welch was going to be my "gamble". He was exceedingly knowledgeable, realistic, reasonable, also kind and understanding.

My wife and I came to visit Wisconsin last year for some R and R and unfortunately found ourselves in need of an attorney. What we thought to be a simple misunderstanding quickly escalated into more and we found ourselves in a desperate situation doing our best to research available attorneys with experience and a good reputation in the area. Neither my wife or I have a record or have ever been in trouble so to speak, so we found it a bit overwhelming in differentiating which attorney would be the right fit for us so to speak. We came across a lot of attorneys but ultimately decided to go with Adam Welch. Upon our research we found Adam to be listed as Wisconsin elite when it came to law and trial cases. After retaining Adam's services, it was beyond apparent why. Not only did he live up to everything we read online and then some...He had a very polite and kind demeanor and it was obvious he cared. Let me say that again. I whole hearted believe that not only did he care, but he had our best interests in mind. Now a days, that's a hard found quality in any line of work. It did not go unnoticed. After almost a year of dealing with a less than desirable District attorney, Adam stuck to his guns and we ended up going to trial. Again, neither my wife and I have ever been through anything like this and it was beyond a little nerve racking to say the least. Adam was cool, calm and collect and reassuring the entire time. Tim knows better than anyone else the tactics the police and prosecution uses, so he knows and understands how things roll if your ever facing a legal tsunami. Before I made any statements to the police, I called Tim and knew right away that he was the lawyer for me compared to other law offices I called. Before ever giving him a dime, Tim took an hour out of his day to help me decipher my case and lay out my options. He is very knowledgeable and most importantly cares. He knows the OWI laws in Wisconsin are primarily a fee tax on the public, the field sobriety tests are designed for even sober drivers to fail, and the state statute limiting negotiated settlement before trial a ridiculous encumbrance. I would trust Tim to handle any OWI case given to him and believe he will get the best possible result for his clients.

I was fortunate that Andrea Winder represented me.
They charged me with 2 offenses, one of which is serious enough to tarnish my reputation and threaten my employment. Thankfully, within 24 hours of describing the case to Andrea, she had negotiated a reduced charge, the more serious charge dropped.
I had hoped this would be the outcome but was reluctant to believe that this best outcome could be realized. Thankfully, I was wrong. Andrea had the charge reduced to a minor ticket, and even more remarkable accomplished this goal within record time.

Attorney Nicholas Gansner acted very quickly in response to allegations about 2nd degree sexual assault from 3 and a half years prior to the report. He took his time to gather all of the facts and spoke with the investigating detective on my behalf. Nick kept me updated and informed about the strategies he was taking while working with the detective. I left all of the work to him and he took care of everything. Ultimately, the case never made it past the initial investigation and was never forwarded to the district’s attorney’s office. He was nearly always available by call, text, or email—even responding late at night sometimes. If he was not immediately available, he would reply as soon as he could. I would highly recommend hiring attorney Gansner.

Attorney Gansner worked on my very difficult and emotionally draining case for around 2 years. My confidence in him NEVER wavered! When I had things to say, he really listened and took note. He remembered and made use of pertinent information I had given him. I never felt like he left important details out that I would later need to correct myself. In addition, I noticed that he is extremely well respected by judges and commissioners as well as his peers which is very comforting to witness. Jessa is amazing. My family called her office when I caught my last case, and she was willing to come and visit me in the jail. I was accused of multiple charges, distribution, a shooting, and also facing revocation for violating my probation. If you have plenty of time for things to work out, Hazelbaker is a fantastic attorney!! Very smart, very knowledgeable, very interested in both your interests and doing things right. And frankly, for most legal cases, the best way to proceed is unrushed. He's not billing you for time passed. But the passage of time softens the stubbornness of your opponent, makes them more reasonable, and allows more relevant facts to come to the surface and sort themselves out. So he does not rush things through. If you are not in a huge hurry (like you have a year or more) you'll get great service, a much better outcome, and pay a very reasonable price!!
