I was convicted of a white-collar crime and charged with a felony. Mr. Fanego has a thorough knowledge of criminal law and was determined to defend my case. I was involved in a case and missed the court. When I received the verdict I was desperate. I called 5 different law firms to ask for help, but most of them told me they cannot help me. My colleagues recommended Jacalen's firm. They told me if there is anyone can help me in my case, her firm would be the best place in Ann Arbor area. So I went there hoping there would help me. I was lucky that Jacalen was there and she reviewed my case. She gave me some very professional advises and explained in detail how I could do for my situation. After I hired her as my lawyer in that case, she helped me solved my problem in time. After 4 months, the lawyer from another side in that case came to me again and ask money, saying I owe him about $5,000. I sent Jacalen an email ask for help, she helped me in the second day and the lawyer on the other side admit that the letter ask money from me is a mistake. She helped me again in time. And she did not charge me for this. I do appriate her quick response and very professional, honest, and thoughful service.

Attorney Grow went above and beyond in every aspect! If I could give him more stars, I would!
He was very attentive and thought of solutions that benefited his client the most even when it required a little extra on his behalf. He was able to walk us through every step and make a fearful situation seem like it was all under control. From beginning to end there was never a time we were left in the dark or every worried with Mr. Grow as an attorney. I would hire him again without hesitation and recommend him to all whom find themselves in a similar situation.
He was also able to get a quick court date that matched with my schedule for being in the state. On top of being professional and bending over backwards to make sure his client felt safe and in good hands. He also was able to get the charges dropped down to a misdemeanor and find a solution to where after a 6 months probation have the charge ex-sponged from my record. After the case in September, and upon recently finding a clerical error with my record he still responded within minutes and was able to get me record cleansed, resolving the issue, the very next day even after months of the case being closed and we had paid for his services.
If you find yourself in any kind of drug related trouble he's the kind of attorney you want in your corner.
I literally cannot say enough good things about him. Without him I am frightened to think how much worse my life could've been.

Hired Joe on a domestic case. Joe was willing to provide services that all other lawyers I contacted would not, like followup calls and jail visit at a late time in the day. Joe was a great person to talk to. Joe provided comfort when other lawyers were short or even downright rude. Joe was the only lawyer who could explain the situation to me in a professional, courtoues, and thorough manner. I would recommend Joe.

Joseph Dodds Got me a good deal in my DUI case for me 5.0 starsFirst off, let me say how blessed and lucky I am to have found Attorney Joseph Dodds through Avvo! As several others have reiterated in their own reviews, Mr. Dodds is very knowledgable within the michigan DUI arena. This was unfortunately my first DUI and I was looking at some pretty rough penalties for my mistake. Fortunately, though, Mr.Dodds knew pretty much what to do from the get-go. He was able to ask questions in my case that I would have never thought about, and thusly was able to work a good offer from the wayne County office In all seriousness I am beyond pleased with my representation that He has provided me in my case. I believe that he worked very hard on my case and the end result completely shows what a stellar lawyer he really is. Also, money was a factor for me in my decision to hire a lawyer. During a very difficult time in which I had gotten myself into some trouble, Jason was extremely helpful in assisting me. His professionalism and kind-heart showed through the way he worked with me without judgement, but also with my best interest in mind. He took the time to get to know me and truly make the case a personal one amidst the cold-hard facts of what I had done. My sentence was significantly reduced from what I was originally charged with and my consequences were much less than any other individual who would have landed on the sentence I ended with. I would think that one of the hardest things for a public defender is to balance the need to protect the rights of the client while, at the same time, recommending a plea which will result in the best outcome for the defendant. My son suffers from a mental illness, and was not aware of his circumstances when he became involved in a physical confrontation with a Sherif's department, resulting in being charged with a misdemeanor of Attempted Assault of a Police Officer. Kelly recognized this and was able to guide my son to a plea of "No Contest", knowing full well that he would not have a favorable chance with a jury trial should he plead "Not Guilty" as my son was wont to do. In this way, not only was the Judge and Prosecutor able to compassionately place the defendant on a 2 year probation program, inclusive of following a Community Mental Health recovery program, my son felt that he was not being forced to plead "Not Guilty" to the events of an evening that he can not fully recollect. I would highly recommend Kelly not only for her legal knowledge, but more importantly for her ability to recognize what is best for her client and possessing the ability to achieve this in a very delicate courtroom setting.

I made the unfortunate decision to drive after drinking. I was charged with OWI with high BAC. (.19, and .17) After talking with several attorneys in the area, I made the decision to hire Robert. Robert took the time to get to know my personal accomplishments and not just the crime I committed. Because of his commitment and professionalism, my charge was immediately reduced. In addition, at my sentencing I was given non-reporting probation, and a 4 hour highway safety course. When I first contacted Robert I was facing a car installed breathylizer, possible jail, reporting probation, and community service.
Robert also has the respect of the courts. Regardless of how many people filled the court room, Robert was always the first case the judge called. The judge made personal recognition of Robert, which put me at great ease.
He is a family man, but also respected professional. He is involved in his community, and it is obvious everyone that works with him (judge, court employees, probation officers) has great respect for him and find him trustworthy.
I would recommend Robert to anyone looking for an attorney with a wealth of knowledge and who can guide you through a difficult situation!

I could opine about the level of professionalism, competency, kindness, and communication that Trevor showed me over the last 4 months, but I will instead focus on the outcome.
