My teenage son was involved in an incident that involved a grown man grabbing him and trying to restrain him against his will. This infuriated me and I considered taking legal action against the man but needed to understand the law, process I would be involved with, implications for the adult man and also impact on my son. After a lengthy conversation with Mr. Mollo, i was better informed to make a clear, rationale, well thought out decision on next steps. He was able to provide me the education I needed and did it with compassion, empathy and respect. Mark represented me in 2010 on a criminal case involving charges that included aggravated assault and possession of an unlawful weapon. He was extremely honest, open and real. My mother and I consulted with a few attorneys, but instantly retained Mark based off of our gut feeling upon our first meeting with him. He was extremely reasonably-priced and when the very emotional week of trial time came, I don't think that he slept either. I received a Reckless Driving 5-point ticket in a Camden County town. Officer didn't like the way I changed lanes. We pleaded down to Unsafe Driving (Which is a larger fine but no points and no recurring insurance charges). Admittedly it had been 19 years since my last traffic violation, which I'm sure helped the judges decision... but stepping down from 5 points to no points is a huge win regardless of the circumstances (in my mind). Never had to go to a trial with officer. Simply negotiated with prosecutor at initial hearing, and judge agreed.

From very beginning, Kevin was always upfront with me. When he first took on my case, I knew right away that he was the right attorney for me. I knew this because in the very first meeting, after reviewing the charges and the options on the table were grim, he told me the truth and what my expectations should be. He didn't sugar coat it, but on the same token, he also told me that its still early and he would do absolutely everything he could to help me. And he did! He gave me a list of things I needed to do right away to start helping my case and checked on me regularly to make sure I was doing them. Many of those things I believe helped the judge make her decision. But most importantly, Kevin found that the evidence the State Police claimed to have was inaccurately measured in their favor. And so he hired an expert in the field we needed, and because of that the State Police were forced to correct the details of the charges brought against me. (The State Police rounded up the quantities in order to push my charges into a Class 1 Felony) Everything Kevin did for me was by the book. He was early to every meeting and court appearance. He answered every call , text and email. And on top of that, he continued to call me and check up on me throughout my entire diversion program (2+ years) and further. I truly believe that Kevin Buchan is the reason that I was able to be with my wife for the birth of our first born. We followed his instincts and advice, and managed to turn was was looking to be an unfairly long sentence, into a diversion program that let me be with my family. To this day I am eternally grateful for what you did for me and my family. Thank you Kevin

Katherine isn’t just a good lawyer she’s a good person I was picked up on a Thursday night with a bench warrant and if it wasn’t for Katherine I would have spent the entire weekend in jail but because she cares and is good at her job the next day I was home. I was hesitant at first bc he was younger than I expected but was overjoyed at the representation. He is always available by phone (which is unheard of with lawyers) completely 100 percent honest (even more rare) and he controls a courtroom when he walks into it. I have used him for four separate matters now and everytime I am pleased. Highly recommended.

You were mocking me of my 1st lawyer saying I shouldn’t find a lawyer from yellow pages and that you were much more experienced and showboated with all your high cases with great results. Once I retained you as my lawyer your result was far worst than my 1st attorney. And you would utter following,I’ll even tell my own brother to take this offer. Which brother of yours? My 21 year old son needed an attorney and I required him to find legal representation on his own. My theory being, if you want to get in trouble for doing grown up things you will need to learn how to do grown up things! I was concerned because most professionals regard 21 year-olds as children and they tend to be dismissive. I am so happy my son made the wonderful decision to hire David Gelman. He was treated with respect, kindness, and professionalism. He was communicated with and always kept apprised of his situation. Angel (from the office), is just that...she was always so sweet to him. When I first walked into his office, I was a bit concern, after speaking to him at length, I knew he was the attorney for me. His staff was pleasant, professional and we are on a first name basis, Upon speaking to him, I was advise on how to resolve my issue on my own or retained him. I was told up front how much the fee would be without any hidden fees and if I choose to do things on my own I could always call back with additional questions. He and his staff were straight forward with me. I know that sometimes people speak badly about attorneys especially if they don't hear what they want to hear or have the outcome that they want. I would recommend him to any friends or family members.

I was referred to Sherman law almost a year into a contentious divorce. My original attorney was not attentive, not responsive, and lackluster. After requesting a second retainer (for what appeared to be no work to date) I reached out to Sherman Law for assistance. Within an hour of meeting with Josh, I knew I needed a new attorney. IT WAS THE BEST THING I COULD HAVE DONE. Josh and his team (Jess, Bri, and Nancy) were a stark contrast to my original attorney. Josh maintained an appropriate level of communication, but was always mindful of my time. Josh did a good job prioritizing complex distractions with relevant issues, and dealt with necessary issues swiftly and decisively. In my case, I had counsel who represented my ex that did not negotiate in good faith. My ex had an unrealistic (and grossly unfair) alimony request that could only be viewed as emotional and spiteful. Josh used logic and experience to come up with a "gut feel" of what is fair. Subsequently, MESP recommended something similar to what Josh thought would be fair and expected. Unfortunately, my ex did not accept the MESP recommendation, and did not negotiate past her initial request. As a result, we were forced to prep for trial. Josh was VERY thorough and logical when it came to prepping for trial. Josh tried to negotiate with the adversary several times without avail. Additionally, Josh had to respond to several baseless (yet disparaging) motions filed by my ex. Josh was never phased by the senseless ordeal, and responded only with irrefutable fact and exhibits. My ex ended up settling for something VERY comparable to the MESP recommendation on the second day of trial. It was good to see that Josh identified the "snake in the grass" early on, and was able to accurately predict a fair outcome as evidenced by both the MESP recommendation, and what was actually settled in the end. I highly recommend Sherman Law for any family law needs... I'm just glad I found them before my ex did.

Josh has painstakingly worked through our case and has gotten the results needed to protect our family. He is dedicated, meticulous, and patient. He spends many hours speaking with us, compiling information, and he makes the right decisions for our case. In the courtroom he is professional, knowledgeable, and direct. Mr. Benevento was able to get a vary favorable ruling after I was stopped by NJ State Police without any reason. Mr. Benevento argued with the prosecutor that NJSP had failed to provide any reason why my car was originally pulled over. He also argued that NJSP failed to provide evidence in a timely manner. Ultimately, I was able to get leave the court house after paying a small ticket but was able to retain my license and did not have to spend any time incarcerated. I highly recommend his services.

I was recently involved with a criminal issue and Chris really helped out. When I was basically harassed by police after the incident he even showed up to a traffic stop I was involved in after I called him. He was there in 10 minutes. When we went to court he was prepared and argued diligently on my behalf. I've also used him for traffic violations and recommend him to all my friends. I was arrested in December of last year and while looking for representation I stumbled upon Mr. Benevento. After a quick consultation I hired him on the spot. Brandon answered an Avvo question; I called and spoke w/him several times during two days. Here is where numerical ratings can be deceiving. His Avvo rating=5.9, but I would rate him a 10. I have a landord problem, and I'm disabled. He is like no other lawyer I've met. He is unassuming, kind, decent and very knowledgeable. He did not bristle, because I was frantic, and he did his best to "calm" me, told me of my options, and asked me to call if I needed further assistance. He's young, and on his way to a fine legal career. I can't think of enough superlatives to accurately portray this fine young man. PS He answers his own phone calls!

I got a ticket last year for almost running a police officer's squad car off of the road on my way to classes at Rutgers. I was looking at a billboard and didn't notice my car was drifting to the right and into the police car that was in my blind spot. I was pulled over shortly thereafter. Long story short, professor González was able to get my infraction changed, cutting the total fine to a fraction of what it was. As a result of the change there were no points added to my license and I additionally avoided paying a $250 surcharge typically paid in order to avoid points. He really is an amazing lawyer. I totally recommend him, especially if you are a student and low on cash.
