Searching for a trustworthy lawyer is painstaking because who would want to waste their money on an unreliable lawyer with no credibility? Hiring Dr. Calev was the best decision I made concerning my immigration issues. He and his assistant Pepe were very professional and easy to work with. They were very proactive in preparing me for everything--they would call me for updates even before I could call them. They treated me like I was their most important client, for a fee that's more than reasonable. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. I got my greencard before the anniversary of my filing.
I'm happy that my friend recommended Pepe to me, and I'd more than glad to recommend them to others.

I had been separated from my wife for over 5 years, 2 of them trying to get her to sign Uncontested divorce papers. I left her the house and everything in it + I leased her a new car and more. One of her clients happened to be a divorce Attorney and decided to take her on Pro bono, now she wanted all sorts of things never mentioned before, I had only 1 stipulation on the paper work, that she is 100% responsible for any money owed at end of car lease, that's was it but her Attorney insisted that she not be.. I would not agree and she would not sign, we could have signed the paper work that I paid a paralegal firm to prepare, I even went to the courts and paid for the Index #, everything was done, we only needed notarized signatures and we would be divorced, No Attorneys needed but NOPE, almost 3 years later NO divorce. We were at a total standstill for a year and then I was speaking with a customer of mine and I asked what he did for a living? He answered Im an Attorney, immediately I said can I ask for some advice? He said ofcourse...... LONG STORY SHORT- I retained Benjamin Calev as my Attorney to represent me in my divorce, He said Mike all you need is to give me my retainer and I will take care of everything, you just get me any information I ask for and I will have you divorced in *6 months*- *MUSIC TO MY EARS*...( Might I ad his retainer was INCREDIBLY reasonable, and the total cost when all done? Let's just say he loves what he does and he is not all about the money... I could have easily been charged triple or quadruple what he charged me, I actually had another Attorney quote me triple). Today is January 4th 2021, Benjamin text me on December 23, 2020 Congrats your divorced, My favorite Christmas present I could have received which was just about 7 months later, not the 6 months that he said but not his fault, the papers were signed and in the courts 2 months ago waiting for the Judge to sign them. So my last words are if you have a legal issue or a unfortunate situation of any type call Benjamin Calev, he is caring, sincere, honest, hard working and a PIT BULL when needed, you would never know it when you meet him or get to know him but TRUST ME - (PIT BULL).... Ben -was a blessing in disguise I was fighting some very serious criminal charges however, from day one Ben advised me we will get through this with a not guilty verdict. This is my first time working with Lawyer Victor and I'm impressed with the result. His communication with a client is superb! I got a ticket for disobeying a traffic sign in The Bronx of which I didn't even see the sign and there wasn't any pavement marking also, so I was left with two options either to plead guilty and pay the ticket with "2 points on my license" or give it a try by giving the case to a Lawyer. Upon a recommendation from a relative, I gave the case to Lawyer Victor A. Bernace. I got the ticket dismissed yesterday. Victor A. Bernace, Esq is a knowledgeable, honest, affordable and patient lawyer, who communicates clearly. I had a felony charge back in 2013 and had another lawyer who said my only option was 5 years probation or jail time. I was lucky enough to find Mr. Bookstein who took my case and immediately I saw that it was the best decision ever. He was able to negotiate with the DA which extremely affected the outcome of my case. I was offered one year probation, which after successful completion, all charges were dropped to just a misdemeanor. He saved me by preventing my permanent record from being scarred with a felony charge. There was nothing special about me or my case, and he didn't know me at all. However, he treated me like a best friend, was always available to talk, and handled my case with great care and professionalism. It was an extremely favorable outcome and WAY BETTER than any other lawyer was able to offer, or accomplish. Ross Kofman responded to my online request for a criminal defense lawyer first and gave me immediate relief when I explained my situation to him. He told me most of the charges were bogus and would easily be dropped. Fortunately after 3 months of being in limbo, going to court dates once a month merely to hear the judge say, I see you've been making your check in appointments, good, come back next month, the case never went to trial and I was informed today that the charges are being dropped at my next court date. Lawyers are not cheap and not so easy to get on the phone after you hire them because sometimes their days are packed as they are always in court, but don't let that put you off from hiring these guys. They got me waived of quite a few bogus felony charges. They do their jobs well. I originally spoke to Ross and thought he would be my lawyer but Brad Leventhal showed up at my first court date and he did an excellent job with the proceedings, encouraging me assuring me that this would pass and it would be okay. These guys were half the price of the original lawyer I went to who wanted 20,000 upfront to cover the whole pretrial and trial. Thosev other guys told me it would be over by Christmas, for that exorbitant fee. Fortunately I went with these guys and only paid 10,000 because there was no trial and here we are right before Christmas getting dismissed. So relieved. Thank you guys. They saved my life any my wallet!! Five Stars!

Ask opinion and Howard was the 1st one who responded with such a words. You just could feel it if the person is real or not. Decided to call him, spoke to him and he calmed me down saying everything should be fine. He would taking care of it well. He spoke by heart!!! That’s the most important. Bottom line, the case dismissed as he promised earlier. It just took me total of 20 minutes in court the I was heading home. Very recommended! You won’t be dissapointed.

I found myself in a very dark place and was overwhelmed, I didn’t know where to go or who to turn to. I was referred to Mr. Rabah and did an extensive search on this attorney. I was pleasantly surprised on the great reviews he had and felt very comfortable hiring him.

Earlier this year I fell on hard time in terms of debt, I was trying to pay it off and refused to give up. Unfortunately due to personal issues I started to accrue more debt that I could not longer handle. My friend recommended Michael for a consultation and to look at my options. I got married in July 2013. Soon after, my husband and I we were looking for a good lawyer to represent us for our immigration case since I came to this country with a C1 visa many years ago and I overstayed. Many years had to past for me to finally start fixing my immigration status: marriage equality was finally legal across the United States and the Obama administration installed a mandate to pardon immigrants in the U.S territory instead of going back to their countries to wait for a pardon.
I remember very clearly our first appointment with Ms. Cano, and I remember mostly because she was very friendly, the staff was very friendly, and she exposed to me what steps I must follow to get my papers in order, and get my resident card. She was very clear, very organized, and she speaks fluent Spanish and English.
First, we started the family petition. Once that was confirmed, we follow with the “extreme hardship” waiver, and finally with the interview that was going to be made in my country. After long months of hard work from both parties, we got the waiver approved and soon after we had the date for the interview. Now looking back it seems very simple, and it kind of is because the professionalism of Ms. Cano’s office made everything run very smoothly. They would call me every time I needed to bring something to the office or if they send me some documents to my residence. They would email me or be in contact all the time through the entire case. They would also give me copies of all documentation; hard copy, electronic copies, etc. In short, they were on top of my case throughout my immigration case.
When I finally got my residence, we convened again 2 years after that to start the process for my permanent resident. Thanks to the amount of evidence Ms. Cano ask me for and the efficiency of her office, I can finally say I am a permanent resident of the United States. I can say, very confidently, that I recommend 100% Ms. Cano’s services for any immigration issues you may have. Every case is different and for some is long and tedious, but you can have the certainty that they are working for you in a professional manner.

Ms. Cano was very thorough in absolutely every aspect of the case. She made me and my family extremely comfortable throughout the entire process. After talking to many attorneys that were judgmental and left me anxious and worried. I finally spoke with Scott Limmer and he was so supportive, and did not judge the situation not one bit. He alleviated all my anxieties about it. He is reliable he answers back expeditiously and helps you get your case dealt with as soon as possible. In my case I went from calling lawyers to actually seeing court in a matter of 1 day. He cares about his clients and cares to alleviate their fears about the charge and process. He’s so honest he actually told me he wouldn’t want to take my case since a regular legal aid could take the case and there’s nothing to worry about and he wouldn’t want me to spend money getting something this simple resolved . He even explained what the legal aid would say and do along with the entire process. He advised me even though I was not his client and was giving me advice for another attorney. I immediately hired him ON THE SPOT and he gave me a discount since he felt it still unfair to take my money. I never spoke with a lawyer that actually looks out for your well being. I could’ve cried and I did. He understands that mistakes happen but also understands the unfairness of harsh punishments. The day of court I actually found out the case was already closed. And even though we spent 2 days prepping and talking over the phone the morning of he refunded me all of the money spent for his fee. He’s an angel and a godsent. He also understands the legal system extremely well and can explain it in layman terms which was a relief after talking to other lawyers that were rude, seemed almost annoyed to converse, were negative about the outcome, judgmental, and overpriced. Before I met Ben, I had a horrible experience with a lawyer/firm who I thought had excellent credentials. I did my homework by researching its beautiful website, nice office with coffee in Long Island, NY, etc., but to my surprise they were the worst service I have ever experienced (and I am in Sales/ Customer Service).
They never picked up the phone, never replied to my emails and when I had someone one on the phone, I had to go over my case again and again. They overcharged me without having any court hearings and no advancements for almost 1 year in my divorce case, the second lawyer from the firm was worse than the first one.
As a result, I decided to drop this firm and did not want them to represent me any longer.
At the time my ex was harassing me, the courts were an unknown process for me, and the judges were unpleasant to deal with. It was a very stressful time.
I found Ben through a friend’s reference, she said he ended complicated cases successfully.
My ex was making everything expensive by stalling the process in any way he could, he had the money to play with because he was not paying child support.
In a one-hour meeting with Ben, he did more than the other firm did in the one year they had represented me:
• He quickly understood my case;
• All assets involved
• Custody of my daughter
• Child support
• He was realistic, not raising my expectations that we could end the divorce too quickly.
