In January 2020, I had filed for a divorce. By the fall of 2021, my lawyer informed me she could no longer represent me. I needed a reputable, trustworthy lawyer that would not bail on me again.
In my online research, I found Dell'Acqua Law and left a note on the website. I did not expect to hear a response for 48 hours or so. The next day, Dawn Dell'Acqua and I had a virtual conversation! Dawn could see I was feeling vulnerable and broken. My marriage of 19 years was a complex case. My ex was not an easy person to deal with.
My worries dissipated quickly working with Dawn, Ariel Barbre, and the amazing office staff. They were professional yet personable. I was constantly informed of any new developments, consulted before any motions were made, tutored, then counseled to help me understand what was happening and why. Ultimately, I was reassured they had my best interest in mind again and again.
Prepping for court, they were meticulous. Rough drafts were sent to me to review before being submitted to the court to make sure all information and timelines were accurate.

Attorney Marrinan took time out of his busy schedule to speak with me in a consultation over the phone. However, he indicated that he would not be taking my case. Since I had a bad experience with the Sheriff's Department, Michael suggested that I move out of the city. He indicated that I might possibly incur future harassment. After my experience with the Police State, I told him I wanted to move out of the the United States.
He trained me regarding law enforcement and about specific things the "forgotten man and woman" should know. He wanted to know if I incurred medical bills as a result the Sheriff's Department assault on me. I indicated that I had.

I am a DUI attorney for 36 years and in practice for 39 years in San Diego Ca. I referred a terrible police abuse case to Mike where the police officer tore a urine bag off the body of my poor client dieing of cancer. The cop then threw the bag dripping with human waste on to the grass. He was subsequently taken to the hospital. On a case like this there is only one attorney I trust and that is the masters level in police abuse cases Mike Marrinan. Unbelievably he came to my clients home on saturday in the rain and spent over an hour with the family. How knowledgeable and gracious he is. I can not say enough about this champion of human rights. I live in Orange County, went to a Charger-Patriots game, and got embroiled in a 'fraudulent handicapped plackard display and parking' "ticket". Given this was a misdemeanor and NOT a parking infraction, it required an attorney. I Called Scott, got him within 1 minute, and he took it on and got this entire mess dismissed. He is dedicated to the truth, and aggressive in dealing with the prosecution. Need I say more?? Thanks, Scott, again !! Impressive!!!!

Allen Bloom….he is almost indescribable. I would recommend Allen Bloom to anyone that needs a caring and detailed Criminal Attorney. He assisted our family through two cases that were both long, difficult, and seemingly without hope processes. My family and I were to the point of giving up and accepting the fact of two of our family members possibly spending the rest of their lives apart from us forever.
Attorney Bloom’s work speaks for itself. He was hired for two different cases for our family. He is not limited to just the California area. We reached out to him for a situation in another state and he accepted the challenge and a challenge it was. Everything seemed to be so dim and not much hope….Attorney Bloom has the love for people and once he met with both of these clients, he was nonstop. He believed that both of them were innocent and that’s what he fought for was an opportunity for both of them to have what they deserved: a chance to be back in the society that they should have never been away from, to be with their families and get their lives back on track.
These were both felony cases and as stated above we could have chosen other attorneys in the second state but once you meet Allen Bloom “there is no second choice.” His character as an individual and the manner that he worked with the family is simply unbelievable. There is an unbreakable bond because he makes no one feel that he is above their situation and yes he had every right to say NO on the second case but he didn’t.
Allen Bloom is very aggressive and he sticks to the facts in the case. When I first met Attorney Bloom I thought “an attorney in blue jeans and t-shirt,” what has my family gotten ourselves into. After you meet him and begin to talk with him you realize that you have made the best choice even before the end of the trial –he keeps you abreast of what’s going on, not sugar coating anything though…he simply keeps it REAL. He never picks you up or sets you up for the big letdown. It’s all explained to you so that you understand daily what is going on.
After watching him during the first trial, I realized he’s a beast in the courtroom. He has the ability to make decisions/adjustments during the trial against the prosecutor and I’ve never seen an attorney such as Allen Bloom to face judges in the manner that he does. Attorney Bloom is not afraid – he argues and fights until the end just like it’s his own family member. He is simply amazing to watch how tactful he is in court. I’m praying that my family NEVER needs him in this manner but I would love to be able to watch him in court again. He cares about PEOPLE and how they are treated. It’s amazing to meet someone of his character knowing where he is in the world. No one is too small for him…everybody is somebody and doesn’t matter what your “race” is. You just can’t help but love him not just because of his work but also the person that he is inside.
It’s just HIS calling…it never seems to be about the dollar. He’s a part of our family now… just like another BROTHER to me. It’s been several years since he handled these two cases and there was some time-frame in between each but when Allen Bloom is your attorney there is no loss of communication. He stays in touch via email and every now and then you may even be surprised with a phone call. He is unreal but REAL…not many people like him especially outside of your immediate family. Since he handled the cases, my mother transitioned into her heavenly home and my daughter graduated from high school…Attorney Bloom was just like a part of MY family during both situations. All I can say is “TO KNOW HIM, IS TO LOVE HIM.”

I experienced a bad situation with a local technical school, which involved harassment. I had to leave the school due to them not handling the situation correctly after I complained to the administration. They refused to refund my student tuition and accused me of over exaggerating. I was lost and didn't know what to do until I talked with Mr. Rojo and he helped me by contacting the school and informing them of my rights and the seriousness of the situation. Within 2 days the school gave me a full refund and I received a formal apology. People like him definitely make a difference when big companies try to take advantage of us.
