It is so difficult to find a trustworthy attorney. After meeting with several different ones, we were blessed to find Stuart. We hired him for a case of termination of parental rights and adoption of minors. It is needless to say the case resulted in our favor. There are two important sides of Stuart professionalism, on one hand there is the preparation, since the first meeting we realize he had an ample knowledge of the law, however what was more astonishing and made the difference, is the exceptional preparation he makes at every step of the case. I made a very bad choice one day. I was sure I was looking at several months in jail minimum. The first time I spoke with Eric, his intelligence, confidence, compassion and reassurance gave me such relief. I couldn’t believe he took my case as it was very challenging. I was anxious going to court but he really came to know me as a person, not just a case. He was genuinely concerned about my wellbeing and told me to let him worry about things. I was on the search for a lawyer that I could not only trust but one that I knew understood my heart for the situation and would fight hard for me to get it. From the very beginning Dana spent time learning the whole backstory of my case as well as listening to what I wanted most out of the situation as well as my fears. I called Dana and hired him to represent a family member in a DUI case. Dana looked at all of the discovery materials and one thing didn’t quite feel right to him. He requested follow up documentation from the DA’s office, who stalled and deferred for close to a year, postponing court dates multiple times. Dana didn’t back off, and the DA finally admitted that he didn’t have the media Dana was requesting.
He negotiated a favorable plea agreement that was far better than what we thought was possible. I’d hire Dana again without hesitation.

From the first time we spoke on the phone until my court date was over, he was top notch. I've used many attorneys throughout life and he is by far the best I've used. If you are in need of a great attorney that will put your mind at ease, look no further. I had a probation violation in Franklin and it couldn't have went better. I need someone to help me understand why I had an outstanding debt... My experience with this Hospital was very poor, and they could not explain why I had an outstanding balance. They just wanted me to pay them without an explanation. William finally got them to investigate and explain the issue, and I appreciate that. November 2020 I had a slip and fall, I spoke to a family member, believing that this could have been preventable, he referred me to The Wharton Law Firm, I have never been in this situation before so I contacted the firm. All this happened during the early stages of the Covid-19 pandemic, I received a phone call advising that the attorney wanted to conduct a zoom consultation, during the consultation I advise him of what had taken place on that day, I was then advised that the firm would except my case, I was grateful. Not knowing what to expect, I went to all my doctor visits, obtain any evidence that I could, Andrew kept me up dated on every aspect of the case, if he emailed and stated they needed anything such as medical records, medical bills ect. I was able to obtain them. anytime they call, emailed the first thing they ask was how was I feeling. I woud receive some emails asking certain questions about that day, to clear up a few unanswered questions. As time went on I was still continuing treatment, I would advise them of every appointment I had, what day, who I was seeing, afterwards I would email Andrew advise him of my visit, what will happen next, I just kept him up to date on everything that was going on. Once we got to the near end I was advised of the starting offer, he advise me on each and every one through the end, he consulted with me about what to expect and how this negotiaton would take place, after mutipile offers and at that time which I agreed to settle. I have talked about this firm to my family and would highly recommend The wharton Law Firm, because I was completely satisfied. Our son was charged with a DUI because he was asleep in a car after drinking. Terrifying to find out your child has been arrested. AZ met with us quickly, he set realistic expectations and helped us understand the legal consequences. He and his office kept us well informed and were always available by phone 7 days a week. I had to find new legal counsel after my first lawyer's lack of experience became painfully obvious the first time in front of the judge. In my search for a new lawyer, Lewis Williams came highly recommended, and he made an immediate impact.
My (now) ex-wife’s lawyer was loud, rude, aggressive, and willing to present half-truths and outright lies in the courtroom. (My previous lawyer didn’t stand up to her, but just wilted.) After I hired Lewis, she became much more civil and showed him immediate respect. (He told me he had beaten her in the courtroom before, so that was a good sign.)
My ex-wife worked very little during our 18-year marriage, had an affair, and faked a brain injury in her attempt to gain disability benefits. I had copious amounts of evidence for all this. Unfortunately, Tennessee state law apparently cares little about morality and ethics and mostly looks at income vs. need. Thus, I was vulnerable to paying extensive alimony due to my income and the length of our marriage. Lewis encouraged me to settle, even though he told me he would make up to $30,000 in more legal fees if we went to court. I was amazed at his honesty and integrity.
On a side note, he is very prompt at returning emails and works through weekends, holidays, and even when he’s sick! There were times when I thought, “He needs to rest.”

The owner of apartments that border my property was negligent in maintaining his trees. The trees posed a danger to my property, including my house. Mr. McClanahan did his homework by having The University of Tennessee extension agent come to my property and assess the danger of the trees. Then, armed with the evidence, sent a letter to the owner of the apartments. I had been requesting that the trees be cut for over six months, but within one week of Mr. McClanahan's action the dangerous trees were cut and removed! Now my yard is safe and I am a fan of the excellent work of Matthew McClanahan!

I was very pleased with Mike Watson. My charges were in a county that he's not part of the good ol' boy syatem( if you know what I mean). Mike came to me with an offer from the DA.. according to guidelines it was supposed to be the best offer anyone else would get with my charges. Mr. Houston bent over backwards for me in giving advice when I handled my case pro se. He did advise me that I would be at a disadvantage by going pro se and that I should seek legal counsel. After I explained that this was not possible due to my finances, he immediately started sending me links to click on and view TN court rules of civil evidence. I'm not sure why he was so very fourth coming with help, but he was!! I owe him BIG TIME!! I really feel this is an attorney who will look toward doing the right thing for his client and not about padding his wallet!! I was able to settle my case on the court house steps. If I had not filed the lawsuit I don't believe this settlement would have ever happened. GOD BLESS Mr. Houston!!

When my husband and I learned of his ex-wife's habit of doing drugs in front of their children we were horrified and had no idea what to do.
