She is the best lawyer I have ever known in VA. At first I was so worried about having a record in my life. But after I talked to her, I felt so relieved. She is so nice that you could trust her at all. I had a case that driving 82/70 Mph in VA, which cause a Misdemeanor.. and an infraction for the expired license. The outcome is changing misdemeanor to infraction,no points, no record, no influence on the insurance, and the infraction is dismissed. All in all , she is deserve your trust!

In 2020, I was facing a Suspension and Debarment Case. The new was disheartening since I have had a successful military and contracting career with the Department of Defense and experience as enlisted within U.S. Navy, along with a history of winning awards and building a reputation of helping my local community. I relocated to work for a very large defense contractor, and I saw a lot of fraud and waste. I reported the incidents to Human Resources before I left the job, and I was placed on a PIP. My worker told me you will be punished for going to Human Resources, prior to reporting the incidents, the daily harassment and casual death threats in conversation that co-workers casually mentioned in front of management. I had a successful career at this defense contractor until I started alerting management and human resources about mis-mangement of funds and hardware and system use, and the dangerous comments made by coworkers. To my surprise Human Resources and my management were friends with each other, which led to backlash and retaliation about my terms of employment and false accusations waged towards me. I completed the terms of my employment, and I quit. One year later, the large defense contractor was working towards a proposed Suspension and Debarment notice stating I was a danger to the government. I searched many days for a lawyer, and I read about Ellis Bennett. He was nothing short of an angel, life saver, and career saver. I told him my story, and I provided him artifacts including the experience at the large defense contractor, and dates and times of my activities and projects completed there, along with the synopsis of the toxic environment; he took the time to listen and work with me, and I worked to help him with all the artifacts I kept of my daily experience on the job. It made a stressful and highly emotional time for me, easier to deal with me. Working with Ellis and his team made me feel as though I was his only client; he was efficient with his responses and always took the time to answer my questions. He worked and put together an amazing and beautifully written rebuttal package that showed who I am as a professional. I am forever grateful because through his response, my case was dismissed by the US Navy Suspension and Debarment office. I can continue in peace happily with me new career. My first law firm and a very fantastic one indeed. Before the court day, communication with the Paralegal, Alicia Orellana, was excellent in preparing for my court day. Alicia is professional and very responsive. Paul Mickelsen was my attorney for a reckless driving case. During court day, I was very nervous as this was my first reckless driving case, and while I was in the courtroom, Paul approached me a couple of times and told me not to worry and that he'll take care of me, which was very reassuring and calmed me down. Words really can't describe the level of professionalism and expertise Attorney Wade possesses. I had a nightmare divorce/custody case that carried over from North Carolina for a total of four years. At the time I came in contact with Attorney Wade I was on my fourth lawyer and I spent almost 20k in legal fees. In time, I had become a "professional court testifier" and became very familiar with the legal process. I knew a good attorney when I saw one. I did my research and Attorney Wade had pedigree (which I heavily believe in) and I read several Washington Post articles that she was profiled in. I was impressed. When I had my first consult with Attorney Wade, I knew I struck gold. She was able to listen to my concerns, see the big picture, and she dissected 3 years of my litigation timeline in 45 mins. A tentative gameplan was formulated and the strengths and weaknesses of my case were discussed. We worked together as a team and when it was time to make strategic decisions, she always had a plan in mind and I often agreed with her and we proceeded accordingly. She never blew me off. She responded to my emails and telephone calls within a very reasonable time. Even when she was caring for a sick family member she still found the time to respond. We were so fortunate to find Charles Homiller down in Virgina to help our son (going to school there) with a speeding/traffic ticket. Due to a series of unfortunate circumstances (some of them admittedly our son's fault), Charles was able to take our case and remove a misdemeanor charge from our son's record. This was extremely important to us as he prepares to graduate from college and enter the working world.

I was having a really hard time dealing with my legal issues so I sought out an attorney. Matthew Curcione had amazing reviews. So, I put my info in on his website and he was very quick to call and talk with me to set up a meeting. This was my first time dealing with anything like this; I had no idea what to expect. I went to our consult and he was very direct and kind, but without all the fluff. He was straight to the point and honest. He also charges very fair prices. I was worried about how much this would all end up costing. I can't speak for everyone, but he charged me a flat rate and allowed me to put half down and make another payment of the other half. He was always quick to respond to my emails. I ended up needing a continuance, which he guided me through and as soon as I left the court I was freaked out. The judge wasn't happy with me filing a continuance with my letter of representation. He called me two minutes after I sent an email explaining how everything went down and how freaked out I was. He calmed me down and told me not to worry about it. We communicated through email up until shortly before my court date. He set up another meeting and walked me through my testimony. Telling me what he was going to ask and how he wanted me to answer. He was very thorough and again, straight to the point all while still being kind. My court date comes around, he showed up forty five minutes prior to my court time to go over everything one more time. I think he could tell how absolutely terrified I was, so after we went over everything he just talked to me like a person. Normal talk that really helped me calm down. He was kind to me. I ended up not even needing to go to the stand because the witness never showed. So my case was dismissed. I really recommend him. Even though I didn't have to go up to the stand I knew he was ready to defend my case. I felt good about him as my attorney. He is a good man who really cares about his clients.

David has assisted my family in two separate child custody cases. One was for physical custody of my husband's daughter. David was able to help my husband obtain physical custody of her by practicing ethically and with integrity. This was a lengthy and drawn out case with many complex across state line issues. He went above and beyond his call of duty to answer all of our questions and guided us in a way that we were within our legal rights and also protecting the best interest of the child. We had absolutely no issues getting in contact with him and were also able to establish a relationship with his assistant, Jessica.
We trust David so much that we hired him to assist us in obtaining full physical and legal custody of a family member's child. We contacted him and the very next day, the papers were drafted and ready to be signed. David has always operated in a timely fashion for my family.

If you are in search of needing an attorney to defend you in court, look no further. Mr. Dawson has provided exceptional defense for me on multiple occasions. He has gone as far as traveling to northern Virginia to represent me. He is able to provide an insightful strategy, while adequately preparing you to have the best legal defense in court. He will fight for you to have the most the favorable outcome, given the circumstances of the case.
For example, he successfully defended a possession charge to which I was found not guilty and had the case dismissed. On another occasion, I was charged reckless 95+mph. Both charges were misdemeanor offenses with possible jail time. And through technicalities that would’ve easily been overlooked by an attorney that isn’t thorough, we won in court.

Mr. Damico helped through the process of working through a difficult custody case and a frivolous criminal charge my ex brought against me. I ended up after the lengthy amounts of arguments and cases with custody of my kid almost half of every month and found not guilty if the ridiculous charge that was brought against me.

Ms.Lu Aloupas is awesome. I am a father/Soldier that lives in North Carolina that was enduring alot of resistance from my children's Mother that lives in Virginia regarding Custody/Visitation. Lu Aloupas is an extraordinary lawyer.
I had an issue with a neighbor who asked the court to grant a Protective Order against me.
I was innocent, but I did not have the knowledge to fight this on my own.
Based on online reviews, I decided to call The Law Offices 0f Lu Aloupas. This is the best decision I’ve made in a long time.
In our first phone call she patiently listened to my jumbled story (I was nervous) and then advised me what to do immediately. She then asked if I would like to come to her office (she has offices in Hampton and Chesapeake) and because she sounded so knowledgeable (and calm) I agreed.
When I met her in the Hampton office we went through the basics of the case and then she asked if I would like to retain her services. We discussed the price, and I agreed. Here is my opinion about the cost. Of course I think that lawyers make waaaay to much money. But as I found out, if you don’t hire a lawyer, you will be overwhelmed by the system, and by stress. Her prices are fair. There might be a cheaper lawyer, and I know there are more expensive lawyers, but her value in my case totally justified the cost.
My case was heard at the York County Circuit Court. On the date of the court hearing we met before the scheduled time and she explained exactly what would happen. She said “I know you are nervous, but stay as calm as you can.” I thought that’s easy for her to say. She told me to not be surprised if the other party changes his story, it happens all the time. She said not to react to this, that she would handle it. Just listening to her gave me confidence and remarkably, I was less nervous.
From the beginning the outcome never seemed to be in doubt. The other party represented himself (huge mistake) and Lu was like a TV lawyer. You honor “Motion to Separate”, objection your honor “Relevance”, Move to Strike Your Honor “Hearsay”. The Judge sided with Lu every time. The Judge dismissed the request for a protective order against me and restored all my rights. I was like someone lifted a building off my shoulders.
You might have heard the saying that nobody likes lawyers until you need one. I can personally testify that if you are involved in any legal action you need a lawyer.
And if you need a great lawyer, at a fair price, I can, without reservation or hesitation, recommend Ms. Lu Aloupas, Esquire.

This review may not do justice to how incredibly grateful I am for Bourdon and Tortolero team.
I came to them when my previous attorney withdrawal from my case three weeks before a very challenging and difficult trial.
Right away they responded in an extremely timely manner.
When you are in financial distress and mental stress, it is difficult to think clearly and make good decisions. That, in addition to not understand the legal process complicates matters even more.

I was locked up in Maryland on a DWI and was told by two different inmates that the best attorney they ever hired was Charlie. Of course I had my doubts.
I was facing a number of felonies and misdemeanors in the DMV area and also had deportation hold. My girlfriend went online to find his website but found he does not have one. Turns out all his clients come to him by word of mouth and referral.
I had hired a couple different lawyers before because I was impressed with fancy interactive web sites but they proved to be losers. I think I ended up paying them to maintain those fancy websites and they all helped put me in jail.
My girl called Charlie on a Saturday at about 9pm expecting to leave a voice message. What a shock when he answered. He explained his experience in federal, state and local courts and turns out he is a retired 21 year police officer. He has incredible experience on both sides of the law.
He got me out on bond, even with the detainer from ICE and then convinced the Immigration Judge to release me on my signature. Unbelievable.
I used Charlie in 3 different jurisdictions and the cases were either dismissed or broken down with no jail and court costs only. He is also handling my immigration work. Asylum for me and family green cards for my relatives.
Charlie is a one stop shop. Criminal, civil and immigration.
Don't hire an attorney because he happens to have a fancy web site. I would say the fancier the web site the more you are paying for a car salesman. You need someone like Charlie who is an actual fighter and knows the system. Hell he was the system for 21 years.
He has no website because he gets tons of clients by referral. His only advertising is his name and cell phone and believe me he will answer.
If you are in trouble call Charlie. He is licensed in Maryland and Virginia. He is also licensed in California but he said that is only for the people who own wineries. Too funny.
He is the best!!!

Mr FitzGerald came recommended to me from a friend. Like the other reviews I was amazed that he answers the phone most everyday and time. His knowledge of the law and relationship with the prosecutors is better than any other lawyer I have had to hire.
My case was a DWI 2, ASAP violation, 2 counts of Driving on Suspended, and 2 Probation violations. This occurred in Montgomery County. I had replaced another attorney who I had first hired who said he got me a "deal" to serve 60 days.
Mr FitzGerald somehow was able to get all but the DWI dropped and I did 5 days.
He is now handling my immigration case. He is reliable, responds immediately, reasonably priced and knows his stuff. I recommend him if you have any legal problem.

I was arrested in Maryland for a series of felonies and I got Mr. FitzGerald's name from one of the deputies who knew him from his days as a police officer. I did not get bonded out so I called his number on Sunday expecting to leave a message since no attorneys ever work weekends and most make you wait for 3 days before they return the call.
Surprisingly Mr. FitzGerald answered immediately and told me he makes himself available 7 days a week and most hours of the day, since most arrests occur at night.
Well I am glad I called. Although his fee was not the cheapest (you get what you pay for) it was worth it and more. He filed a bond motion the next day and I was out on Tuesday. Meanwhile he tracked down two of the witnesses and the officer and interviewed them at length. This helped when it came time to go to trial.
In discussions with the prosecutor as to why the case against me was no good, he learned that the prosecution felt exactly the same way due to the evidence being suspect. I do not know how he was able to do so, but all charges were dropped. He is now preparing a civil suit for malicious prosecution.
If you are arrested for any offense, felony, misdemeanor, dui, drugs, assault....anything, you have to call Mr FitzGerald. The other reviews he has are spot on. This guy is knowledgable, knows the system inside and out, is always available to call and speak to, when he says he will do something it gets done fast. Trust me this is the guy to call.
He practices in local courts and federal courts (I know because my nephew used him in federal court...and won).

Attorney Spindle is simply an awesome lawyer. He literally went to bat for me on the legal frontier at the Loundoun courthouse. What a day to remember! Knowing that I wouldn't have to see the inside of a jail cell was blessing enough but to go the extra mile and further negotiate with the tough police Officer to reduce pending court charges on me was for lack of a better word phenomenal. Attorney Spindle went from persuading both the Commonwealth attorney, Cop and Judge that a "not guilty" plea was in my best interest accepting all fault to winning the court case for me when the judge, the final authority decided an improper driving infraction was my charge. That was a slam dunk of a court conclusion given I had been charged with reckless driving and an accident. Frugal Legal Services should be the staple for how all parents are represented in custody cases. Ms. Burroughs worked hard and diligently on my case and set realistic expectations. My case had a ton of unrelated issues to custody and Ms. Burroughs was completely understanding and worked through our nearly 9 month case. Ms. Burroughs is a magical and enlightening person who gets results. I went from having no contact with my children to now everything is 50/50 and I get to see my sons every other week and have the assurance that no one should be able to change that. Unfortunately I had 2 incidents within a 6 month period that I needed a lawyer for but fortunately I had Ms. Corcoran! For the first incident, a felony hit and run she reduced it to a misdemeanor and I was able to keep my license in addition to just being such a calming energy in the midst of what felt like the worst storm ever.
